This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of March, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [2705], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [2051].

Time of Reading 10:25 to 10:50 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2705].
3. As we find, there are conditions which prevent the normal physical reactions in the body.
4. In analyzing same, and in giving that as we find which may be helpful or beneficial, many things must be taken into consideration; not only the pathological conditions which exist but also the mental and spiritual attributes of same.
5. These conditions arise, partially, from a karmic relationship. However, it is true that there is a physiological or pathological condition, and a physical effect created. For, the effect is to the nervous system as related to the sensory system.
6. Thus the disturbance becomes an incoordination between the central nervous system and the sympathetic, as related to the sensory.
7. As we find, then, these conditions were produced FROM nervous shock, and the reaction caused the ganglia to become dissipated. Rather than forming into the ordinary lesion, it is rather the reaction of dissipation, when there is the attempt to coordinate the nerves between the central nervous system and the sympathetic and the sensory.
8. Thus we will find that there must be mental attitudes taken. These must be done of self and not merely because there is an EFFECT desired.
9. Then there must be the specific conditions created in the nervous system itself. This will be brought about by the mechanical (osteopathic) adjustments.
10. Also there must be those coordinations with low electrical forces as creations in the body-forces

themselves.
11. If these three phases of the applications are made, we may gain the better control of the coordination, and stimulate cooperation of the nerve ganglia in the auditory forces AND the vocal box.
12. Thus there may be the overcoming of this inability of the body to say that desired, or for there to be put into words as fast as the mind and the body desire for expression.
13. This, then, is not stuttering; neither stammering. These effects are rather as of the psychic forces of the body not being brought into cooperation with the physical forces, that have been first, primarily, a karmic influence. This means because of former activities, former relationships, brought about that, as to meet or to be met in self that which was condemned in another.
14. There are also, then, the physical conditions to be met - or corrections to be made. These we would make osteopathically.
15. AND the hand therapy. This would NOT be done by the same person - that is, not by the osteopath who corrects purely by mechanical means. For this, the hand therapy, MUST be done in love, in harmony, in the desire for the help, for the proper reactions in the body itself.
16. Then, in making corrections:
17. First have a series of some six or eight osteopathic adjustments. Let these be made by one in sympathy with this information. We would give Richardson at the present. Make six adjustments, then, with special reference to the upper dorsal, from the 4th and 5th to the base of the brain; the muscular forces about the larynx - these relaxed also.
18. After the six or eight adjustments, then leave off for some two to three weeks.
19. Then begin the second series of the osteopathic adjustments, still with special reference to the areas indicated.
20. During the rest period from the osteopathic treatments, - that is, beginning two or three days after the completion of the first series, and continuing daily for some two weeks - we would use the Radio-Active Appliance - for an hour each day - when ready to retire. Make the attachments to the right wrist and left ankle, or to the left wrist and right ankle.
21. After the Appliance has been attached, let the wife rub her hands together first and then make the hand therapy application; putting the right hand between the shoulders on the spine, at the 3rd dorsal - or 3rd and 2nd dorsal plexus,

and the left hand over the vocal box. Let them remain this way for at least twenty minutes - just holding the right hand over that area on the spine, and the left hand over the vocal box.
22. If the body can be persuaded to sleep, after the first few times, much the better.
23. But use this period for prayer, for meditation - both the self and the wife who would be making the application of the electrotherapy of the body-emotions; for THIS is the entity who must forgive, if the karmic forces would be met.
24. When these applications have been made for a two-week period, then leave off and have the second series of osteopathic adjustments.
25. And by that time we should see help. But continue the treatments in this ratio, or manner, until the condition is met; remembering that the mental and spiritual attributes will have much to do with the results obtained.
26. Let the prayer be, the more often, though - to be sure - in thine own words: FATHER, GOD! IN THY SON, JESUS THE CHRIST, THOU HAST PROMISED THAT WHAT WE ASK IN HIS NAME WILL BE DONE IN THE EARTH. WE SEEK, O FATHER, TO BE A CHANNEL OF BLESSING TO OTHERS. USE THOU ME IN THE MANNER AS THOU SEEST BEST. SAVE ME FROM THIS DISTURBING FORCE, REMOVE IT FAR FROM ME, THAT I MAY BE A BETTER CHANNEL OF BLESSINGS TO OTHERS - IN HIS NAME.

28. Do these things - consistently, persistently - and help will come - for both.
