R E A D I N G
Born February 8, 1880, Sunday, 7:15 P. M., in Weatherford, Texas. Time of Reading 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Life Reading Suggestion)
1. EC: We have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present entity.
2. In entering, astrologically, we find the entity under the influences of Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus. These the influences from entity's sojourn through these spheres, with their correlated influence as manifested in the earth's plane. From an astrological viewpoint, many have been - and would be - the changes as have been wrought in the entity's earthly experience. In the present we find many changes have been made in the will's influence in the entity's experience.
3. In Jupiter we find those as bring for high ennobling influences, making for broad vision by the entity in affairs that have to do with material or earthly experiences in things, as well as in peoples, conditions, circumstances, and such.
4. In the Mercurian influence, those as make for judgement, counsel, and the mental influences as have to do with the application of the MENTAL body.
5. In Venus we find with those that make for, with, the experiences of those of the love that is of the UNDERSTANDING nature. While there has been much of the contrariwise influence in the experience of the entity in this direction, these build for the broadening of the mental and material abilities of the entity, and these are ever the influences as make for the contentments in earth's experience.
6. In Uranian we find those of the EXCEPTIONAL abilities, called or classed by many - in the beginning - as one that was not in any manner set in a direction that could be counted upon; yet with the influences as this made in the

present experience, these have been welded into abilities that surpass understanding in many.
7. In the influences as are INNATE in the entity's PRESENT experience - those, as we find, would have to do with many of those that come from the astrological, as applied to the will's application in the present experience. These, then, we find:
8. One appreciative of abilities in others. Also the abilities to make friendships; to pass judgment on individual, group and classes, making for those influences in mental as a teacher - rather by the ensample, than by precept; not influencing individuals or groups through word of mouth, but rather by the influence of application of self in their experience, their lives; weighing often those influences in individuals' lives, bringing for others the understandings of themselves, in the manner of judgement FOR themselves. Living and letting live. Not using those influences for selfish motives, but rather that individuals may APPLY themselves in that which for the individual will bring the understanding.
9. In the home these influences are manifested in many ways and manners, as it is also in business associations, business relations. Oft has there been expressed - such a pity that such a body, such a mind, such a judgment, not in a man.
10. In those of the influences as have to do with the conditions in man's experience, other than material, again we find the experience rounded into an appreciation of endeavors in MANY fields; especially in those of art and literature. These, the entity finds rather that of a STABILIZING influence, without INTERESTING self or self's endeavors IN those directions. Rather being in the position of AIDING another to express that as is sought to be said by self to others; FOLLOWING that SAME example as has been given, as the entity teaches rather by ensample than by tenet or precept. While precept is the BEAUTIFUL, rather let this be expressed by another, is the ACTIVE forces of THIS entity.
11. In conditions as have to do with the spiritual forces in life, or life's EARTHLY experience - again we find much of the same character. The entity rather drawn to SINCERITY, whether of low or slow activity - rather than the enthusiastic that is bombastic in ITS expression. These, again, become as ensamples by the entity; for the entity; in the experiences of others, and as applicable in the life or experience of the entity. Not that the entity MERELY appreciates the life or spiritual insight of another, but

rather does the entity appreciate the ENSAMPLE of a life lived by one claiming, or one teaching spiritual influence in the lives of others.
12. Not easily is the entity fooled by others, for the influences in the entity's experience will be seen have brought that, that is often called psychic, or an uncanny insight into what others think or feel, and the experiences are often the ruling factors in the entity's application of the tenets, or of the IDEAL held INNATE in the entity. This, as we find, may be developed, as will be seen in the present experience, to wield for self that position - that is as already enviable to many - but may be made to wield an influence that brings rather content and satisfaction in the manner as was expressed by another of old, that "Others may do as they may, but for me and MINE house, we will serve in the manner that, to the CREATIVE Energy, MUST be acceptable in HIS sight".
13. In the appearances and the influence these bear in the present experience, and the influences as are seen that the entity may bring into the lives OF those whom the entity contacts - for MANY are they that the entity has influenced throughout the experiences in the earth's plane - "He that hath little in experience, of him LITTLE is expected. He that hath GREAT [much] in knowledge, understanding and experience, OF him MUCH is required." [EC's paraphrasing of Luke 12:48?] USE, then, that thou hast in hand for the service as will give the better understanding to others, and the contentment within self of the experience being WELL used, and made USEFUL in the experience.
14. In the experience before this we find in that land known as France. The entity then in that period when the ruler of the adjoining land was an exile in the land. During that sojourn the entity brought much understanding to that entity, being the companion in many of the experiences, while there was being sought to give the expressions by those of the peoples in that land; for the life of the entity was changed much by the associations of the entity, in the name of Adaire. In that period the entity gained and lost through the experience; losing confidence in men through the experience the entity passed in relationships with that Charles the Second, that was of SUCH a mind as to be ruled, or changes wrought by the surroundings. The entity in the present experience finds, whatsoever position the entity may occupy - whether in business, in social, or in whatnot - able to use that as a stepping-stone to the IDEAL HELD by entity as respecting same. Very seldom does the entity acknowledge defeat, even though shadows may come

these are used as those things that build for a better understanding.
15. In the one before this we find in that land known now as the Persian. The entity then among those peoples of the nomads, and the mother to the ruler who CONQUERED the Persian peoples; giving much to the ruler, Uhjltd, in that period, through counsel, advice, and coming as an aid TO those peoples that were subdued, and teaching much IN the land - in ensample; that, though there were condemnations, and there were the misunderstandings in the purpose of the raids, or the conquering of the peoples, the entity held LITTLE against the peoples, and became the ruler, the Queen, of that divided land. In the name Slumdki. In the present experience, those of the psychic forces as come as impressions in meditation. Those in abilities of business, of being able to direct and to control groups, come from the innate experience of the entity. Able, in and through that experience, to control the servant as well as the ruler.
16. In the one before this we find during that period when in the land now known as Egypt. The entity then among those peoples to whom the Priest was banished, and came again into the land to establish the closer relationships to EACH; that is, the king, the Priest, and the Priest's wife - or the Priest's consort in banishment; for the entity had gained through the experiences of self's consideration of the tenets being taught by the peoples BEFORE the conqueror came in. The lands, then, of Egypt, Mesopotamia, and of that portion of the physical world, hold for the entity a PECULIAR influence. Especially in the buildings, in the garments of wear, and in numbers and in days. These are innate, but well has the entity - through other experiences - brought these to an UNDERSTANDING in self, that all days, all numbers, may be made to serve, will SELF give that as is to be desired BACK from such service. In the name Eaoil. In the present, those influences, those peoples, in the application of that being builded - even as the entity gained through the establishing of that relationship between man and man, the Creator and man, and man's relationship with the Creator - in the present these tenets have been and are INNATE with the entity, and the religious INFLUENCE will ever be guided by that innate EXPERIENCE as had by the entity during that experience. Silks, satins, cloths of gold - especially - wield an influence in the entity's experience that is not understood; save that in those of the hangings in the temples, those of the dressings of those in power during the experience, were PATTERNED by the entity; and raised in position, raised in power, through the service

RENDERED the peoples, of both the alien and the native, by the entity in that experience.
17. In the one before this we find in that land now known as the Peruvian. The entity then among those of the people called the Ohums, [?] [Aymaras] and one ascending to power when that ruler that degraded self was exiled. Hence the influences in the entity, is ever that of sympathy - or a tender feeling, even for those in failure, or for the underdog. Not so much as to condemn, but pity - and PITY is akin to love, and SYMPATHY is the active force in pity, and unless this becomes active little does it influence an entity, or an individual.
18. In the abilities of the entity, and that to which it may attain in the present:

As is seen, few have been the backslidings in the entity's experience - and little in same may be expected in the present; for - as the entity CHOSE in this experience to enter, when there was that desire from the physical being of such conditions as the entity sought to manifest in a material world - the entity entered, and in cooperation with many of those that are IN the physical at this period may the entity gain and apply much as is held innate; for ever has the entity held an ideal, and no question may be asked but what the entity within self is to give, and able to give, an answer to an ideal - whether one in power as of state, or political, or as a business man, or as a lover, as a mother, as a teacher, as an exhorter, as an example; whether it be the tender of flocks or the tender of masses of peoples.
20. In the application, then, of self in the present - use those abilities to give the better understanding of man's relationship with the Creative Energies as are manifested in a material world; keeping that division as IS held, but KNOWING ever they are one, whether in business, in economic relations, in political influence, in pulpits, as ministers, on the stage - as actors or exhorters; the LESSONS are one, that the will - made one WITH the Creative Energy - may become in toto the same AS the whole, yet NOT the whole; and in this relation may use, and not abuse, use and not for self, all the forces - whether in a material world from a mental source, or in a physical world from and through a spiritual source, and applying self in this direction gain for self that of the life well lived, and "As thou hast been faithful over the few things, be thou ruler over many". Many lives, many peoples, many nations, HAVE depended, DO depend, WILL depend, upon the judgment of the entity.

22. (Q) Why was this entity born at this time, and for what purpose? (A) As has been given, that in that there were those conditions in body, in mind, the channel through which the entity sought entrance to manifest that as held innate IN the entity's inner self, giving then an opportunity to manifest in this present experience.
23. (Q) Is it advisable to keep Giatto [...] in the entity's life? (A) In some manners, well. In others, not so - for the entity does not WHOLLY trust the purposes, and the entity has ever held, does hold, will hold, a PURPOSEFULNESS in every act, and this does not ALWAYS conform. Use the good, discard that that does not measure up to the entity's standard, in this association.
24. (Q) Should she remarry? If so, when? (A) There, as we find, will enter into the experience of the entity those conditions that would seem to bring about such as, this would be WELL. This, however, has not arisen as yet. Be SURE of self and of self's own desires in THIS direction. This, as we find, would rather occur during the latter portion of the PRESENT year; that is, this meeting. No, the entity hasn't met the other as yet, to whom the entity should remarry.
25. (Q) What should be the nationality? (A) Either that of French or American.
26. (Q) Who sent the entity the cigar box with the pipe and note enclosed? (A) The entity knows who. This came from one with whom others have forbid the entity's closer, or such a close association.
27. (Q) How can the body develop her psychic ability? (A) In the quietude of self's study of the experiences through the earth's plane, these will be opened - even as they were in the plains of Arabia, and as they are opened use them even as through THAT experience. Not as self's satisfaction, nor of controlling lives - but as of service TO those who seek to see His face.
28. (Q) What endeavors will aid this body to have many years of helpfulness? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto Him, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, avoiding the APPEARANCE of EVIL (as held by self), and keep self unspotted from the world. Let not thy good be evil-spoken of, and find in Him the answer to every desire; for what profit it, that one gain the applause of many and loses self in MISUNDERSTANDING. Seek wisdom and understanding in self, for these will give the answer to all questions. We are through.
