Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Tenn.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2726].

3. As we find, many conditions are very good; yet there are disturbances of such natures that uneasiness is existent, and there is the lack of the ability to carry out or to fulfillall those desires of the body in its activity.

4. These conditions as we find are rather complex in their nature, as they are after effects of a congestion. And with some deflection of energies to portions of the system, they create an irritation that comes and goes - yet it is ever an apparent disturbance.

5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2726] we are speaking of:

6. The blood supply indicates periods of irritation in the torso or trunk portion of the body, from inflammation. This changes, especially as to the abilities of the blood in its quantities or qualities. As indicated, these disturb the ability of proper assimilation of foods taken; for the greater disturbance arises from a condition through the alimentary canal, especially in the lymph circulation in those activities of the colon AND portions of the jejunum. We find that this condition arises from after effects of inflammation, or from flu.

7. Thus the swelling of those cords along the side of the colon, and the inflammation to pockets in same.

8. Also a subluxation exists in the area of the 6th to the 8th dorsal, which contributes to the disturbance. This naturally produces, with the inflammation in the lymph, a pressure upon the general nervous system of the body.

9. These are the sources of the disturbance.

10. The body becomes easily irritated at things having little or nothing to do with the body, and yet at times

people as well as conditions produce an irritation by the very effect upon the general impulses of the body-forces.

11. The tendencies for a bearing down feeling in the pelvis, the limbs, and a tingling in portions of the limbs and through the hips at times give disturbances to the body.

12. In making for those conditions that will bring about better forces, these would be necessary:

13. Consider those things that contribute to the conditions, as well as the need for those properties internally that will aid in alleviating as the corrections are made.

14. First, we would prepare a compound in this manner:

15. To an ounce and one-half of Distilled Water add two ounces of Strained Honey. Let this come to a boil - not boiling, but almost to a boil - just sufficient to skim off the refuse. Then skim off. When nearly cool, add - in the order named: Grain alcohol..........................1/2 ounce, Fusion of Wild Ginseng (good fusion)...1/2 ounce, Fusion of wild Ginger..................1/4 ounce. Shake well before taking. The dose would be half a teaspoonful once each day, before retiring.

16. Begin with osteopathic treatments, with special reference to those areas indicated from which there arises the lack of proper coordinant circulation in the system.

17. In the matter of the diet - have plenty of citrus fruits, plenty of whole grain cereals and reinforced bread. No white bread at any time. The whole wheat or reinforced bread is the better. Do not have the cereals AND the citrus fruits at the same meal.

18. No white potatoes and macaroni at the same meal, or the like.

19. No hog meat of any kind. Only a little crisp breakfast bacon may be taken occasionally.

20. Fish, fowl and lamb should be the principal meats, - these never fried, but rather broiled, stewed or baked. Plenty of well cooked vegetables.

21. Let at least one meal each day consist principally of raw fresh vegetables. Not too much of these, but at least the greater part of one meal each day - and use oils rather than other characters of dressings upon same.

22. Do these things and we will make for better conditions for this body.

23. After the properties have been taken for some ten days, and after at least three of the osteopathic adjustments have been made - it would be well that a colonic be given. Give

2726-1 Page 3

this very carefully, and DO use body-temperature water, with a level teaspoonful of baking soda and a heaping teaspoonful of table salt stirred to each gallon of water. Have the water not hotter, not colder than body temperature. In the rinse water do use at least a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline to each quart of water injected. These will not produce strains upon the system if done in this manner.

24. In a month to six weeks have another colonic.

25. And, by those periods, we should find much better conditions for this body.

26. Ready for questions.

27. (Q) What causes the nervousness and irritation of colon? (A) Just as indicated - the pressures upon the sympathetic nerve system through those areas indicated. Do as outlined and we will bring better conditions for this body.

28. We are through for the present. Copy to Miss [2693] " " Ass'n file (4/8/42 GD's note: See extra sheet [which was enclosed] for Dr. Shackleford, also for druggist. Miss Cayce can perhaps recommend a druggist in Nashville who has had experience with preparing such compounds.) .)
