Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2732].
3. As we find, there are conditions that prevent the better physical functioning of the body. These in part have to do with the effects of conditions which have been brought about by the body itself; but these affect the functioning of the central blood supply and the functioning of the organs of heart, liver and kidneys.
4. These are the disturbing conditions, or the SOURCES of the disturbing conditions, as we find them with this body.
5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2732] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. The blood supply indicates the effect of a disturbance in the metabolism of the system. Thus the variations in the pressure in the blood supply, as well as the affectations through the assimilations of the body, the flow of same through the heart and lungs, liver and kidneys.
7. Toxic conditions appear that give a disturbance to the blood stream, in pressures produced in nervous system.
8. The nerve supply, the organs of the central system - or the liver, the heart, the kidneys in that disturbance, produce lesions that are a natural result of a disturbance in the functioning of organs.
9. These exist in the area from which the secondary cardiac plexus receives its impulse, or in the 2nd and 3rd dorsal area, and in the last dorsal and in the 2nd and 3rd lumbar areas. These lesions cause the conditions, combined with the affectations to the organs in pressures produced in the areas at times.
10. Hence the conditions across the waistline, or along the
2732-1 Page 2
back, and - of course - in the upper portion, as to the formation of gas in the duodenum itself, and the swelling which occurs there. These are reflexes from those pressures because of the nature of the lesions that have formed.
11. As to the organs themselves - these are primarily affected in their functioning at present, though the reactions to the rest of the system make for those conditions that may become more of a static nature and thus become organic unless corrections are made and there is the allaying of the causes of this condition especially in the liver, where - in the right lobe - there are spots on same. These may become hardened - or, by the removal of the pressures and the removal of the causes of the disturbance, there may be the creating of balances so as to make better reactions for this body.
12. First, as we find:
13. We would begin with adjustments, osteopathically administered, for the correction of those subluxations existent in the spinal area - from the 2nd and 3rd dorsal to the base of the brain, from the central of the dorsal system to the end of the spine; these especially. For, as indicated, the lesions exist in the 2nd and 3rd dorsal, from which the secondary cardiac plexus receives its impulse, and in the last dorsal and in the 2nd and 3rd lumbar areas.
14. As to the number of these adjustments to be made - it will depend upon how well the body takes care of self, and how well the body responds to those treatments. As we find, it would be better to take about six, and then rest possibly a month, and then take again. This SHOULD be sufficient, if the other applications and suggestions are followed or kept in turn - as we will indicate.
15. Once each day, after the heavier meal, we would take about half a teaspoonful of ALCAROID - and two glasses of water with or after same.
16. There should be those corrections in the diet and the proper stimulation to the digestive system, else there will be those conditions with the kidneys and heart and liver that will be hard to control.
17. The eliminations should be kept much better.
18. We would have at least two or three hydrotherapy treatments - these begun after there has been made at least three to four of the osteopathic adjustments in the spinal system - so eliminations will be bettered. These should include the mild sweats, rubdowns, and colonic irrigations.
19. These as we find may aid the body to bring bettered conditions for this body.
20. Ready for questions.
2732-1 Page 3
21. (Q) Are lungs affected as a result of being gassed during the World War? (A) Lungs are only a secondary condition here. There is naturally, as indicated, in the circulation, a tautness in the lower portion of the pleura, but this comes more from the heart and liver and kidney activity than from the lung.
22. (Q) What causes swelling about ears during violent coughing? (A) Those pressures that are maintained in the areas indicated, and the attempt of the system to adjust the flow of the pressure from the heart as well as the lymph circulation. The lesions that exist in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dorsal.
23. (Q) Please suggest things to be stressed and things to be avoided in the diet. (A) AVOID too much combinations of starches. Do not take a combination of potatoes, meat, white bread, macaroni or cheese at the same meal; no two of these at any one meal, though they each may be taken separately at other times, or as a lunch or a part of a meal. Avoid raw meats, or rare meats - that are not well cooked. Not too much EVER of any hog meat. Have plenty of vegetables, and especially one meal each day should include some raw or uncooked vegetables. But here, too, combinations must be kept in line. Do not take onions and radishes at the same meal with celery and lettuce, though either of these may be taken at different times, see?
24. (Q) Would another climate be helpful in correcting this condition? (A) A higher altitude, of course, would be more beneficial to the body.
25. (Q) Any mental and spiritual advice? (A) Use the abilities ye have in constructive thinking and constructive doing; and you will find life and its relationships more worth while.

Richardson, Bankers Trust Bldg., Norfolk, Va. Also copy of directions for colonic, sweat baths and rubdowns. Dr. James R. Parker in the Bankers Trust Bldg. gives colonic irrigations - he might be able to give the sweat baths and rubdowns; if not these can be obtained - ALL - from Norfolk Health Baths, New Monroe Bldg.) ldg.)
