Born January 22, 1933, in Virginia Beach, Va. Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, or giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (After repeating suggestion in an undertone) Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2760].
3. In giving the interpretation of the records as we find them here, these we choose from same with the desire and purpose that this be a helpful experience for the entity.
4. Thus it will be well that in the next three to four years this interpretation be studied well and analyzed by the entity, and the ENTITY seek further direction itself - in those periods.
5. In giving the interpretation, there is the interpreting from the records of the entity itself. These are written upon the skein of time and space. Thus they are a part of the innate and manifested characteristics of the entity.
6. These may be found indicated in the urges that are the reactions of the entity in its experience with the various phases of its own earthly sojourns; its relationships to individuals, its reactions to various phases of human relationships, its reactions to the various characters of studies that it may apply in its experience.
7. From these records that may be found these are judged, and they have their influence according to the application of the entity upon those characteristics that have been developed in its experiences through the earth.
8. Hence as we find, from astrological or latent
2760-1 Page 2
characteristics as come in the dreams, the visions, this individual entity will be found to be at times very serious minded, at others quite dreamy in its characteristics, in its hopes, in its desires, in its experiences with others, in its abilities to classify its wants, its wishes, in relationship to things of which it becomes aware in its associations with others.
9. Also there may be indicated the determination. Not that the entity is hard-headed, but it has to be reasoned with. Thus there should never be the attempt of those about the entity to BREAK its will, or to FORCE issues! For, these only build those determinations of the entity to have its own way.
10. Thus, Mercury and Mars become very prominent in what may be said to be the characteristics innate in the entity; as well as Venus and Uranus.
11. Hence - love of beauty, harmonies, certain characters of music become a part of the entity, latent and manifested in its experience.
12. The entity is inclined to be rather in that line of being careful, being cautious; at times it appears very indifferent and yet at others orderly in its experience. These are indicated from Uranus.
13. Thus the necessity for those who would have the training of the entity's mind, or the unfoldment of the experience, to reason with the entity, to be loving, to be careful, and to state facts. For, the entity judges things for itself!
14. As to the entity's activity and experience in the earth, - we find that from these earthly sojourns there are also certain characteristics indicated.
15. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, in and about Richmond; during those periods just before what is called the American Civil War.
16. That period brought to the entity its tendencies as to very definite ways of thinking, very characteristic in its poses, very determined in its wants, in its likes and in its dislikes. In those periods the entity was "waited on", and yet during the period of the war itself, those things being taken away from the environs of the entity brought those experiences when the entity had to rely on its own abilities.
17. Thus we will find in the present that the entity can be just as lazy or lady-like as it wants to, and yet it can be relied on to be independent and self-reliant. Hence the needs not only for direction, but definite direction - and loving direction.
18. In those periods the entity gained most in its ability
2760-1 Page 3
as a teacher to the young. In this experience, then, we find there may be those things that would have to do with home economics. Thus, when this entity has finished the high school education, it should be directed in the teaching of home economics, or the training of the young, or in those directions that would have to do with certain forms or characters of music. For in these directions the entity may find itself the better in this sojourn.
19. The name then was Gracia - or Grace, as called - Waddlington. Records may even be found of this, in and about that vicinity.
20. Before that the entity was in the Promised Land, during those periods when the Master walked in the earth.
21. The entity was among the children of that period of activities, coming in contact with same through associations with those closely associated in the Master's ministry. The entity was present during the period of the feeding of the five thousand; and in its teens - and through its life - the entity was a consistent (and this means much) follower in the teachings and the ways through that experience.
22. While among those peoples of the hill country, among those peoples where there were a great many questions as to the variation in the orthodox peoples of that day and the teachings as interpreted by those who followed in the footsteps of the Master, the entity was ever a student and a teacher - in its home and its surroundings - of those tenets and those truths.
23. AGAIN the reason for, the necessity of the spiritual life being materially manifested to the entity through its developing years in the present experience.
24. The name then was Marcella. In the experience the entity gained throughout, though those activities were confined more to the home and to those of its own household; for the entity was able to live and to consistently manifest those principles and tenets that were as a light to many.
25. Before that the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, when there were those activities in which there were the many peoples gathering in the 'city in the hills and the plains.'
26. There the entity was among those peoples of the native land, aiding in the activities as a contribution to the household that made for the activities in the healing arts.
27. Then, there will be the tendency in the entity's activity in the present sojourn to, at some time, want to be a nurse. However, the abilities may find the greater expression as the teacher in home economics or in music for smaller children. For, those experiences and abilities in
2760-1 Page 4
such activities may be a part of the entity's application as a teacher, in those fields that are best adapted in the ways of the entity's development through this as well as through other experiences.
28. The name then was Lidio.
29. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods of reconstruction, when there were those activities that brought about the crystallization of the efforts of those groups to raise the individual activities for definite service through the land.
30. The entity was among those who were reared through the activities of the Temple Beautiful to become an instructor to the young, and especially in the rhythm of body and of music for those raised to temple service.
31. In the experience the entity gained throughout. For, in figure, in body, in mind, the entity kept self attuned to the mental and spiritual developments that brought the best results in the activity of the body and mind in the experience.
32. The name then was Tetu-El-El.
33. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:
34. First, as we have indicated, the entity must seek within itself - AS it comes to those periods when it unfolds to the abilities of body and mind. Thus there may be greater instruction given, when and as the entity seeks itself.
35. But, to those who would direct the activities of the entity in body, in mind - in those channels as indicated, and in the manner of approach to the unfoldment as we have outlined - there may be brought the greater abilities of manifestation, and befit the entity for that expression in this experience when it may - to the greater benefit of self - body, mind and soul - do those things that will bring glory to the Father and honor to itself.
36. Ready for questions.
37. (Q) What frustration does she need to overcome? (A) As indicated, the indecisions that arise - by the moods that find expression in self at times.
38. (Q) Why, when she loves her step-mother so much, is she so disobedient? (A) Read what has just been indicated. There are those tendencies to question. And while the entity latent and manifested within itself has been consistent, any inconsistency in others to the entity is worse than sin!
39. (Q) [2760] is spending the summer with [...] in ..., Va. Would it be good for [2760] to stay with her indefinitely? Is she an understanding woman?
2760-1 Page 5
(A) We would have to have [...].
40. (Q) Would it be practicable for her grandmother, [1874], to take [2760] and her sister [...] to raise? (A) It would be not only practical - it would be good for both!
41. (Q) How does her step-mother need to change her discipline so that [2760] will feel it is fair? (A) As indicated. These are frustrating questions, in the light of what has been indicated. It is the being inconsistent. And consistency is something somewhat lacking in the temperament of the step-mother.
42. (Q) Will [2760] make a fine Christian woman? (A) If there is the tendency in the direction towards those fields of activity indicated, YES. For, the opportunities, the principles, the basic influences for such have been in the experience, and the entity WILL accept same.
43. We are through for the present. Copy to [1874] " " Ass'n file [Remarks by [1874], Grandmother to [2760], and her sister - both present at the time of the Reading: "...[2760]'s father and stepmother [...] try to make old women out of [2760] and sister [...]. They make them do things that they don't do themselves. For instance, they will throw pillows at one another across a room; but if one of the children did that they'd probably spank her! I'm so glad to get the Reading. I know it will be a great help to me in trying to see that she gets the right attention..."] ."]
