Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2767].
3. As we find, there are conditions that prevent the better physical functioning through the body. These conditions in a measure cause or produce complex reactions.
4. Thus the necessity, we find, of there being those definite corrections made in the present; else we may find such disturbances in some of the functioning of the organs as to cause a constitutional disturbance - which would be an impediment to the complete correction of the conditions.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2767] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. In the blood supply - while its pressure, its metabolism is not at all times disturbed - there are those indications of poisons, or deflections through portions of the body; causing, for this body, a form of anemia. Or, owing to these toxic conditions, there is the lack of the proper assimilation of the food values.
7. Thus the loss of energies, the inabilities for the proper reaction from that which is assimilated. Even when those activities are given to aid in this direction, these become rather palliatives and do not cause the response that should be expected from same.
8. The very nature of the disturbances is such as to involve the eliminations - so that in portions of the lungs, the liver and the digestive tract, we find the sources from which these disturbances arise; while the causes are from the greater pressures produced in portions of the cerebrospinal nervous - producing a deflection of impulse in the nerve forces, or nerve systems of the body.
2767-1 Page 2
9. Thus, those combinations that oft should be eliminated through the alimentary canal are attempted to be distributed through the respiratory, perspiratory system, and through the activity of kidneys.
10. These produce, then, a deflection of activities in the activity through the pelvis system, through the alimentary canal, and especially as related to those conditions in the lower portion of the duodenum - or the emptying of same into the jejunum or the intestinal tract itself.
11. Thus the activities of the liver, the gall duct, and the circulation from heart, liver and lung, become involved in the condition - sympathetically.
12. These produce the toxic forces by this pressure as caused there. These in their turn produce pressures upon the nerve systems, and thus the anxieties oft produced through various portions of the body, especially as involved in the mucous membranes or the lymph circulation through soft tissue in any or all portions of the body itself.
13. These be the reflexes, and the sources - as we find - arise from those subluxations which exist in the lumbar axis and in the upper dorsal and through the cervical areas; deflecting the activities to the nerve impulse between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nerve system to the activity of the assimilating of the body-forces through the gastric flow that comes from keeping a normal balance between the acids and alkalines through the body.
14. The body is lacking, of course, then, in the normal quantity of the hydrochlorics, and is excessive in the phosphates and the activities of the glandular force from the thyroid system.
15. In making applications for corrections, then:
16. First there should be a period of three osteopathic adjustments; and have at least three of these - two in one day, one the next.
17. And then leave off for a period of at least ten days before another adjustment would be given.
18. These should be given with specific reference to making correction of those subluxations existent in the lumbar and sacral axis, as much as practical; not by bruising, no, but by gentle relaxing AND making corrections - also in the upper dorsal and through the cervical areas.
19. After the ten day rest period from the first three adjustments, there should then be given at least six to eight more treatments, that tend to eliminate the pressures indicated.
20. During the ten day rest period from the first three osteopathic treatments - we would have, every other day, a
2767-1 Page 3
hydrotherapy treatment that would include a mild fume sweat - and the fumes should be of Witchhazel. To a pint of water use about two teaspoonsful of Witchhazel - in a cup or an open container, in the cabinet with body, so that the fumes may settle over the body.
21. Following such a fume bath there should be given a thorough rubdown (though do not attempt to make adjustments in these treatments), with a thorough cleansing massage. For this we would use a combination of oils prepared in this manner: Olive Oil (heated)..............2 ounces, Tincture of Myrrh...............2 ounces, Lanolin, dissolved............1/2 teaspoonful. This would be rubbed not merely along the spine but over the muscular forces of the body, especially the head, the neck, and the spinal column; across especially the diaphragm area of the body; not roughly, but gently, all the body will absorb; also across the pelvis, and down the limbs extending even to the feet.
22. Then follow this with the alcohol rubdown.
23. After the first ten days, we would have these once a week for several weeks.
24. Throughout the period we would take internally, once each day - following whichever is the heavier meal of the day - stirred in a full glass of water - half a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth and six drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin.
25. Until the finishing of the last series of six to ten osteopathic adjustments, we would not take ANY tonic as a stimuli to the building up of the depleted conditions that exist through the body. And even then let such stimuli be added rather in the diets.
26. Throughout the period of treatment we would have mostly the pre-digested foods; as milks, toast, cereals, and all forms of foods that are easily assimilated.
27. But afterwards we would begin with more of the foods that carry iron as well as silicon, with the Vitamins A and D and B and B-1. These should be, then, those that are of the yellow variety; fresh vegetables, fish, fowl or lamb, but none of the hog meat or of beef. Do not take these (hog meat and beef) if there would be the proper digestion reestablished.
28. Do these things, and we will find much bettered conditions with this body.
29. Ready for questions.
30. (Q) Is there any weakness in my lungs?
2767-1 Page 4
(A) In the lower portion of the pleura there are the weakened conditions from the lack of proper inhalations and exhalations, and the slowing of the blood supply. A sympathetic condition, but not one that has been attacked by any outside forces.
31. (Q) Are cigarettes injurious to my health? (A) In too great a quantity they are injurious. They do answer for the nerve tension. In a mild manner, then - six to ten a day - but don't do more. For, these will be depressing to not only the expression of the digestive forces but to those conditions in the circulation through the lungs.
32. (Q) What is advised to put on weight? (A) First, prepare the body in such a way and manner that what is assimilated is distributed to the proper position or conditions through the body itself. The effects of the poisons and the pressures upon the nerve system, with the inability of proper assimilation, keep down the weight in the present.
33. (Q) Any special exercise advised? (A) Not too violent an exercise. As much in the open as practical; but walking is the better exercise for the body - not too much of this.
34. (Q) Would it be advisable for me to keep the position I have had for the last five weeks and remain, with my child [...] in Va. Beach? or would it be best for me to return home to Montreal? (A) We would stay in Virginia Beach and take the treatments!
35. (Q) Is Virginia Beach physically safe? (A) As safe as any place we will find, and much better than most!
36. (Q) Could I make any change that would produce more happiness in my home life? (A) With the change in the outlook upon the physical as well as the general activities of the present environ, we find that there will be brought a different outlook upon life - and these may make for improvements, if so desired.
37. (Q) Any particular treatment for the cough? (A) After at least the second hydrotherapy treatment, we would not have much cough - unless the body is too much in the night air, or over-smokes! These are reflexes as produced from the digestive system, more than from the lungs.
38. (Q) Should I stay in Virginia Beach permanently? (A) Let this come later. And there will be changes! No,
2767-1 Page 5
you will go away from Virginia Beach - you won't be there permanently!
