1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2772].
3. Now as we find, conditions are such that the body should be warned respecting that which is gradually coming about, from a disturbance that exists in the structural portion bearing upon the nervous system, and systems, as related to the influence such subluxations have upon organs of the body.
4. While there is much that is good in the physical activities, there are those hindrances - as we find - the correction of which would enable the body to react in a much nearer normal manner; preventing a great deal of disturbance that may arise later on, dependent upon those disturbances to which the body might become subject.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2772] we are speaking of:
6. In some time back there was what was then a minor injury to a portion of the cerebrospinal system. This was in the area from the 7th to the upper portion of the 9th dorsal. Gradually this subluxation, having formed a lesion, has deflected the impulse of nerve energy to the liver AND its relationship to the activity of the pancreas.
7. This, then, has tended to create those disturbances that cause the metabolism of the body to become affected.
8. It is apparent that ministrations of various kinds have had and do have their effect upon the body; yet this continuance of pressure brings about a recurrent condition. It gradually affects the circulation between heart, lungs, liver and kidneys; very minor in the beginning, but as the organs are affected, sympathetically, there are those tendencies for there to become poor eliminations from some of the affected areas.
2772-2 Page 2
9. Thus forms of poisons are produced that, themselves, cause the body to tire easily; causing repressions in reactions of nerve impulse between the sensory or sympathetic system and the cerebrospinal system.
10. And easily at times the body becomes pessimistic, having a darkened outlook; not up to par, and too easily becoming discouraged with the activities.
11. These are purely reflexes, of course, in the coordinating of mental forces, or the impulses of the sympathetic nervous system to the bodily forces.
12. The pathological condition is that tending to engorge the flow of the blood stream between heart and liver. Thus the tendency towards a thrombose condition, that might become serious.
13. This tendency also to increase sugar in the system necessitates great precautions as to the diet, as well as the eliminations, as related to activities of liver AND kidneys, as to removing poisons from the system.
14. These, as we find, then, are not as conditions that may not be relieved; for they have not become wholly organic disturbances, but functional tendencies.
15. To be sure, there are sympathetic reactions to the nerve system as related to the sensory forces. Thus we find the body in its reaction sometimes supersensitive to outside influences, at other times supersensitive to certain characters of foods. Likes and dislikes in relation to individuals may also be a recurrent condition as may be brought about by sympathetic pressures through the nervous system upon those centers from which impulses arise.
16. These as we find are the basic conditions, or sources of the disturbances with this body.
17. In going about to remove same - we would do it, preferably, through the hydrotherapist method - that would also relieve the pressure in that particular area indicated; 9th dorsal to the 6th and 7th dorsal, coordinating the lumbar axis and the cervical centers with the corrections made.
18. For, we find that there have been periods when the body has been troubled from the taxation to kidney and the formation of pressures in the lumbar and sacral, producing the condition to the lower limbs. There is the feeling as of tiredness in them. The feet and limbs become draggy.
19. That the body exercises well in the open often aids in relieving these disturbances. Yet the sources removed, we would find much improvement in all of these tendencies and disturbances.
20. We would have these done, then, by Reilly. [GD's note:

Dr. H. J. Reilly, E.C., Ph.T., also had a Dr. Riley, D.O., on his staff at Reilly Health Service.]
21. First, about every ten days, for two or three periods (and then they may be made farther apart), we would have a colonic irrigation - thoroughly cleansing the colon.
22. Also, following the colonic - that is, the first colonic (though these treatments would be given more often than the colonics; say twice a week for the first three - or Monday and Friday or Saturday, and then the next Tuesday or Wednesday, and then we would make them farther apart) - we would have the mild sweat. This should be very mild, remembering the condition in the heart, liver, lungs and kidneys. Take this into consideration. Hence the sweat should be just enough to raise a good perspiration. Then follow this by a mild Fume Bath with Witchhazel. Then have a thorough rubdown; making the adjustment in the 9th dorsal, coordinating with the lumbar and throughout the cervical.
23. Then, when the second or third such treatment is given (not at the first), make an adjustment in the 7th dorsal.
24. Then, when the third or fourth is given, coordinate again the upper portion of the 9th dorsal center.
25. Do not just take three or four of these treatments, but at least have six or seven - leave off a period of two to three weeks, and then take another series of six, seven or eight - these, in the second series, at least a week or two weeks apart; but follow them up.
26. These, with the regular exercise and with those precautions as to diet, should again set the body in its proper relationships.
27. Keep the activities in the open, and those activities as related to applying self in creative, constructive environs for others. These will have much to do with the outlook.
28. Ready for questions.
29. (Q) What is causing headaches and how can I eliminate them? (A) This slowness of elimination and the general pressure that comes from toxic forces; which should be cleansed from the system with at least two or three colonic irrigations, see?
30. (Q) What can I do to relieve them when they occur? (A) Let's remove the causes and let's don't have them recur! With the causes removed, the general system may be built back to normal reactions. After at least two or three of the colonics (and let these be at least ten days apart - the first three), we will find there will be little cause for the headaches - unless there's overindulgence in eating or tiring of the body.
31. (Q) What caused the condition in my right leg and how
2772-2 Page 4
can I eliminate same? (A) As indicated, this arises from pressures brought by toxic forces, and the catches that arise in the lumbar and sacral areas. Remove the poisons and make the corrections in the manner indicated.
32. (Q) Does tobacco affect me in any way, especially my leg? (A) When there are excess poisons, of course, the tobacco affects. But tobacco if used in moderation is not harmful to the body, provided the precautions are taken to remove the sources of these disturbances with this body.
33. (Q) My teeth seem to be getting loose. Give cause and cure. (A) This is a hindrance in the circulation to the areas in throat and head, that comes from part of the deflection as indicated; that causes headaches as well as disturbance at times with the eyes, and the accentuation to all the organs of the sensory system. But locally, use Ipsab as a massage for gums. And DO have the corrections made, when the hydrotherapy treatments are given, if these are to be the more effective - to be sure.
34. (Q) In the morning when I awake I spit blood. Where is it from and why? (A) From throat and from the circulation, as indicated, in the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys. With the correction of these impulses, so that there are the normal flows, this should soon disappear. This only occurs occasionally, and when the body has been under either a physical or a great mental strain.
35. (Q) I am now taking vitamins. Are they doing me any good and shall I continue taking them? (A) They will do little good until the body is able to assimilate or put them to work. We would not take them, particularly through the periods of the first five or six of these adjustments and treatments. THEN we would take them. But we would take them rather in the combinations; not too much of one, but a combination, see?
36. (Q) Is my heart in good condition, other than as indicated? (A) These conditions indicated are reflexes, and might become disturbing - unless the causes are removed.
37. (Q) How can I achieve greater peace of mind. I just don't seem to be able to be happy. How can I achieve greater happiness? (A) As has been indicated, first correct the physical forces. Then let the mental attitude be kept in that way of expectancy, in the ability to help others. Happiness is a state of mind attained by giving same to others.
38. We are through for the present.
