Time of Reading At home, 3:40 to 4:05 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Ohio.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2773].
3. As we find, there are upsetting conditions that disturb or prevent the better physical functioning through the organs and activities of the body. These arise primarily from an incoordination in the glandular system, because of changes wrought in same, and that are a part of the menopause period.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2773] we are speaking of:
5. The nervous reactions in the body have little to do with causing the unbalanced metabolism at times, but this is more from the pressures which exist in certain portions of the cerebrospinal system.
6. It is not all, however, for the glandular forces that are a part of the thyroid and the adrenals are involved the most.
7. Thus the periods of unrest, insomnia, nervous reactions, upsetting in the digestive system, arise more from these disturbances.
8. While we do not find organic reaction, the functional reactions in lungs, liver, heart and kidneys are indicated at times; not all at once, yet sometimes - when the body has these periods of exhaustion or overanxiety, upsetting the metabolism - there is disturbance apparent in the functioning of all of these organs.
9. We find that, while those administration that have been made are beneficial, these do not wholly reach the seat of the disturbances.
10. As we find - if there would be some definite corrections made, osteopathically, in the lower area of the
2773-1 Page 2
9th dorsal and in the lumbar axis, coordinating the first five cervicals with those corrections as they are made, - these would be beneficial.
11. These would not hinder those application being given. But do have these osteopathic corrections at least once or twice a week, until at least ten are taken.
12. We would take internally the B-Complex Compound tablets, - the One A Day brand.
13. Also, once each day, we would take a teaspoonful of Tonicine. Do this for five days, leave off five days, then take five days again - and so on; especially with these other stimuli that are being taken.
14. In the diet - have at least one meal each day consist principally of raw, fresh vegetables. Not any large quantities of meats, but fish and fowl should be included in that taken, more than other meats or other characters of meats.
15. These as we find, administered correctly, with those applications already in action, should bring much bettered conditions for the body.
16. As to that tendency for rough places to occur on body at times, in certain periods - with the general massage that should be taken occasionally, with the light sweats, use afterward a rub with this combination of oils - in these proportions: Olive Oil................2 ounces, Peanut Oil...............2 ounces, Lanolin, dissolved.....1/2 teaspoonful. And we will find that these conditions will disappear, if the other eliminants and stimulants are kept as suggested for the body.
17. As for the conditions of the organs of the sensory system - these will respond, with the rubs, with the corrections osteopathically.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) What is the origin of my present physical disability? (A) As indicated, it is the after effects - partially - of the menopause period, and there has not been a proper coordination in the endocrine system - or the glandular forces as coordinate especially between the inner thyroid and the adrenals.
20. (Q) Have I in any act contributed to my own suffering? (A) The most has been through portions of the diet, as we find.
21. (Q) Is my present course of treatment doing what I expect? (A) As we have indicated, there is the necessity of the
2773-1 Page 3
addition of some things.
22. (Q) Can my son-in-law, Dr. [...] [D.C.?], ..., Ohio, aid in any way? (A) In seeing that the administrations suggested are complete - would be helpful in these directions.
23. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Do these things in the present. But keep the mental attitude as of constructive forces in the experience, knowing that all healing is of a divine source; and it is through the attuning of the mental and spiritual body to Creative Forces that the physical may be corrected. Then use same as a witness to that creative force at all times.
24. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for an osteopath.
