Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2778].

2. As we find, there are conditions which prevent the normal physical functionings of the body. These particularly have to do with the locomotion, and the after effect of those disturbances which attacked the tendons and muscles, or the locomotory center and axis AND the muscles; and the tendons are hindered in their reaction.

3. If these applications had been made some time back, we find that much quicker might have been the response. But a great deal of material aid may be brought to the body in the present. While it will require time, patience and persistence, it will bring results - if these applications are made.

4. We would prepare a cabinet, preferably to be used on a table, and this cabinet made in a half circle, and of sufficient dimensions as to be of such distance from the body that the lights in same would produce heat to the lower limbs and yet not burn the body. Hence it would be of sufficient length, especially, to cover the lower part of the body to the waist line. This should be wired for quite a number of electric light bulbs in same, at least three rows across, and sufficient distance as not to burn the body, but to produce heat as well as to enable the circulation to be affected by same. The size and quantity of the bulbs would depend upon how large a half circle is made with the cabinet, see? Evidently, these should be at least twenty-five watt, or even smaller. And we would have at least sixteen in same.

5. Each evening the body would use this cabinet for twenty to thirty minutes, or until there is the thorough relaxation. One time lie on the back. The next time lie on the face, so that each side of the limbs, of course, may be affected.

6. Following such a cabinet sweat or relaxation, have thirty minutes of a gentle but thorough massage with Peanut Oil.

7. Do this daily, preferably just before ready to retire. To be sure, remove the braces, so that this stimulation is made directly to the flesh itself - from the lights as well as the massage.

8. The massage should be begun at the lower portion of the dorsals, working down even to the toes - a rotary motion. This should be front, back, sides, and - of course - especially along the sciatic center, from the lumbar to the tendons or bursa in the heel.

9. Also once a week, after the regular massage with the Peanut Oil as given above - say as a Saturday or a Sunday evening dose - we would also massage the body with a combination of oils, as to prevent any irritation, prepared in this way and manner:

10. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil, Usoline or Nujol as the carrier, add - in the order named: Cedar Wood Oil....................1 ounce, Olive Oil.........................1 ounce, Oil of Sassafras Root...........1/4 ounce, Witchhazel........................1 ounce, Lanolin, dissolved................1 teaspoonful.

11. This, to be sure, will separate when it stands; but when ready to be used, shake together, pour a quantity in a saucer, and massage the body thoroughly.

12. Then, keep that attitude that is manifested by the body. Keep those activities that will enable the body to have exercise.

13. After these applications have been kept up for at least thirty days, THEN begin also with the use of the low electrical vibrations that come from the Wet Cell Appliance; this to carry Gold into the system (in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water).

14. The solution for charging the Appliance should be double the regular strength, or: Copper Sulphate...................3 pounds, Sulphuric Acid C.P................2 ounces, Zinc.............................60 grains, Willow Charcoal - for clearing the solution, only...............1/2 pound.

15. This Appliance would be attached to the body at least the half to three-quarters of an hour BEFORE the daily massage and the heat treatment is given, see? that is,

2778-1 Page 3

after this part of the treatment is begun, but do not begin the Appliance until the other treatments have been applied for thirty days, see?

16. The attachments of the Appliance would be made as follows: The larger nickel plate, through which the Gold Solution passes vibratorially (in the proportions of one grain to each ounce of Distilled Water), would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus, or - on this body - four fingers to the right of the navel center, and two fingers up. Make a mark there and attach the nickel plate to it. The smaller copper plate would be attached to the lumbar axis, or 4th lumbar.

17. When the Appliance has been used for fifteen days, with the other applications, it will be found that there may be some irritation, or some feeling as of pin pricks through the limbs. Yet, as is known - or should be known to the body, this will be the indication of how effective the conditions are becoming.

18. Change the Gold Solution every fifteen days, or change it once during the thirty day period.

19. After using the Appliance for a thirty day period, then rest from ALL of the applications - and attempt to swim in water! This will aid the body, when this is begun. Rest from the applications about three weeks. Then commence all over again!

20. Do these until there have been two or three series of the electrical forces - then we would give further instructions.

21. Especially after the Appliance is begun, do have one meal each day consisting principally of raw vegetables of every nature or character that may be taken raw and that are palatable for the body; especially such as celery, lettuce, carrots, spinach, mustard, radish, onions, cabbage - any or all of these. Not that all of these would be taken at once, but the combinations that are preferable, using an oil or Mayonnaise dressing. Not that this is to be done excessively, but from such a diet - as combined with the activity of the electrical forces as they are given the body - the assimilating system may supply nerve energies.

22. Ready for questions.

23. (Q) With following these treatments, will I be able to eliminate braces or crutches, or both? (A) Should be able to eliminate first the braces, gradually using one crutch and cane, gradually throwing away the crutch - and then you can dance again!

24. (Q) What causes and what should be done for pain in side? (A) Do these things as indicated. This is a general

2778-1 Page 4

strain, and is gradually building tensions there. These produce some pressures, but with the use of these things indicated this condition may be met. Be patient - as you are; be helpful - as you have been. Bring help to others and it'll bring help to you!

25. (Q) What is causing pain around my heart and what should be done for it? (A) Do the things we have indicated. Do not allow the cabinet heat to get up above the diaphragm, else we would have a resulting condition to the natural strain produced. This is sympathetic, not an organic condition.

26. (Q) Could Tom Carr of Oceana, Va., make this cabinet correctly, according to these instructions? (A) If he desired! He would have to have it wired. But this can be wired so it can be plugged in, you see, in any receptacle.

27. (Q) Any suggestions as to who could do this correctly? (A) Anybody that wants to! Do these things - be patient, but - above all - be persistent.

28. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Mrs. [934] " " Ass'n file (7/7/42 GD's note: See extra sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for preparing the Wet Cell Appliance, which should be sent to Mr. A. M. Godfrey, 2709 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va., so that he may have such an appliance prepared for you in time for you to begin it on schedule. If you do not feel able to buy this apparatus, perhaps he has one on hand that he can rent. He spends nearly every Sunday in Virginia Beach, so you could have him come by and talk to you about it - he'd be glad to. Mr. Ingram at #1 Meredith's should be able to mix the oils for the weekly rub. Also Peanut Oil may be obtained at Meredith's in pint containers. If you prefer, I'll be glad to phone Mr. Ingram for you and give him the order to mix the oils in the manner indicated. He has done a great deal of this for us from time to time. GD.) GD.)
