1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2796].
3. As we find, there are disturbances that prevent the better physical functioning.
4. These in the present are more in the form of tendencies, but are gradually growing to be more disturbing as conditions progress - and involve other conditions through the body.
5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2796] we are speaking of:
6. In the blood supply - this we find, as yet, very good; save at periods when there is that activity in the organs of the pelvis that causes the greater distress, as indicated by the type of headache that is experienced.
7. At such periods, owing to the stress on the nervous system, the pulsation becomes quickened; and there is a charging, or an excess of conditions in the blood that arises from the attempts of the body-forces to meet the distressed areas.
8. We find in the nervous system the basis or cause of disturbance, partially from a subluxation as first indicated in the lower dorsal and through the lumbar and sacral area. This deflection of nerve energy, as combined with the congestions, caused first a congestion in the area of the right ovary.
9. These have changed somewhat, but the pressures remain. Particularly is this indicated in the last dorsal and in the 4th lumbar.
10. These are the sources of the greater part of the headache that becomes aggravating to the body at times.
11. Thus, while the disturbances arise in specific areas,
2796-2 Page 2
the causes or sources are in those incoordinations between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems, in those areas indicated.
12. As to the effects produced upon the organs of the body, naturally - being of the nature as to affect the sympathetic forces the more - the organs of the sensory system become more involved. Thus the disturbance not only as to the character or nature of the headaches, but the effect upon the eyes, upon the auditory forces; in the ears at such periods, the throat, and reflexly the activities between the thyroid and the kidney circulation.
13. These, as we find, are the sources and the greater disturbance with the body.
14. In the reflexes to the activities in throat - these become full, or filled at times; and anxieties - but more reflex from the imaginative or sympathetic forces of the body.
15. Lungs and heart are affected only at such periods when the circulation becomes quickened, and this only sympathetically.
16. The digestive forces at such periods being troubled cause regurgitation, and lack of appetite, lack of ability for the proper assimilation, or the correct reaction between the lacteals and the acid forces in body. No organic disturbance there.
17. Liver is sympathetically involved from the activity between the glandular forces as related to organs of pelvis and kidneys. Thus the disturbance at times in the eliminations.
18. As we find, in making corrections of the disturbance here:
19. First, when there are those periods of headache - that come periodically, and become overly severe at times, - apply heat - as with a pad or stupe made with Glyco-Thymoline over the area of the right ovary, or at that area in the groin and the appendicial area in the right side. Moisten an old cotton cloth, or gauze, with the Glyco-Thymoline, full strength, and apply warm. Then apply an electric pad to keep it warm. This will assist in alleviating intense pain of headache.
20. Then correct, beginning at once, of course, osteopathically, those deflections of nerve energies in these areas; especially from the 12th dorsal and 4th lumbar, and through the sacral area; coordinating the upper cervicals, or from the 3rd and 4th cervical to the base of brain, with the corrections made.
21. Hence, in making such corrections, make those
2796-2 Page 3
corrections first in the lumbar and sacral and lower dorsal, AND in the upper dorsal and cervical to coordinate with same.
22. Six to ten such treatments SHOULD alleviate these disturbances. They may recur again, until there is that coordination in the activity in the brush end of the cerebrospinal system AND the sympathetic nerve forces along the spine, but more of the applications will gradually alleviate or correct the conditions with this body.
23. Do that.
24. Ready for questions.
25. (Q) Does taking Aspirin for my headaches have a bad effect on my heart? (A) If it is taken with Soda-Mint tablets, not as bad as without same. The effect is upon the drosses created in the bodily functionings of the assimilating system, more than upon the heart's activity itself. But take these occasionally. But if there is the application of the corrections and the packs indicated, these should be seldom needed.
26. (Q) What causes occasional pains in arms and legs? (A) This is the natural result of the pressures (being neuritic pains) upon nerves from those conditions in the right ovarian area.
27. (Q) Why do I always feel tired and lack energy, and what can remedy this? (A) The energies are used up by the nerve pressures. Thus, when there is any great expectancy of the body, the tiredness disappears. But when a mental or a physical exertion exists, the body becomes easily exhausted. When these corrections are made osteopathically, we find these conditions should disappear entirely. We would have such as Coulter to make these corrections.
