1. HLC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '41 - changes - '38 - anxiety periods - '31 - expectancies - " etc., on back to birth date.)

3. Yes - we are given the records here (a new form appears [See 2803-2, Par. R1]) - of that entity now known as or called [2803].

4. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them here, these we find are rather unusual. Much that is indicated as the experience of the entity in the material plane so alters those manifestations of the entity during the interims, that little of the so-called astrological aspects would be in keeping with those applications necessary for the entity to attain that unfoldment or that development in this experience which would bring the greater development.

5. In general we find Venus with Jupiter as those influences. Thus we have a very nervous temperament; one that becomes very emotional at times.

6. While there may be many channels through which a career might be attained, yet to the entity the career of a home would be the channels through which opportunities would be offered for the greater development in this experience, and for the meeting of most of those latent urges that have so beset the entity - as at times to form almost a complex of

2803-2 Page 2

failure in the entity's activity.

7. Thus we find one with the high mental abilities, and capable of being very uncommunicative and to appear as if hiding or shielding things or conditions in the experience. These are the innate influences that are to be met.

8. The appearances in the earth have been so varied as to their relationships, and the influence in associations with individuals so highly and wellspoken of, that there is caused this complex in the entity's activity and relationships in the material plane.

9. In the capacity as a librarian the entity might bring to self the real outlet, yet - as indicated, and as will be seen from the experiences in the earth - the home becomes the greater channel for this entity to meet itself and apply those tenets and those ideals which have formed the basis of its experience through the earth. And from the individualities and associations it will be seen as to why those complexes might be a part of those things to be met.

10. But finding the ideal that was manifested by those associations, and making it thine own, ye may come to be even as great in the influences ye may bring into the experience of the earth forces in THEIR day, as were those companions of the entity through the material experiences.

11. As to the sojourns in the earth, then:

12. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, but under quite different circumstances; being then the companion of the great leader in the War between the States; the entity's companion then being known as that one who ever stood as the stone wall - Jackson.

13. In the experience those relationships, those disappointments that came about with the untimely end (apparently) to the cause for which the entity and the companion stood, brought discouragements.

14. And ever has there been the lauding of the companion and so little, through the experience of the entity in the earth plane, of those tenets and those truths the entity so oft made practical in the experience of the companion.

15. Thus there is brought into the experience the ideas of self-effacement, self-belittlement. And, as the entity finds in the present, when expectancies in its activity and in its associations have come apparently to naught, the entity innately feels in itself, "Well, I knew that at first." This is that which must be overcome. For, while selflessness is the law, to belittle self is a form of selfishness and not selfless.

16. But putting the ideal in that which is the Way, know that if and when the Lord is with thee, ye are already in

2803-2 Page 3

the great majority; ye are then glorifying the Lord, not attempting to justify self. For, justifying of self is blaming someone else.

17. Then, know in Whom ye have believed. Know the Author of thy hope, of thy faith. And as He guides, as thy companion sought ever in that experience for direction - by thy counsel, oft - then as ye have counseled others, do thyself. Do not require, do not ask of others to do that ye do not yourself; but He is One. And that ye require, that ye ask, that ye seek in the experiences of the associations one with another, THAT do, that be in thine own experience.

18. Before that the entity was in the English land, during those periods when there were those activities in which the Spanish and the English made the struggle for those supremacies of the waves.

19. The entity then was among those who supplied through its body, as well as through its activities, those influences that encouraged and abetted in bringing those experiences which enabled the bringing of the understanding as to not only the use of the weapons of war but the weapons of diplomatic relationships also.

20. These were the tenets to which the entity gave those activities that brought about those changes. Through the greater part of that experience the entity gained. But with the loss of its offspring there came periods of discouragement.

21. And these again, as combined with the more recent, bring those periods in the present when the entity feels deep within self "What's the use? These will come to pass." Yes, but at thy direction. For, naturally, those born in this period, those born in that position of the earth in the periods of thy activity, are leaders within themselves - as is manifested by the choice of companions as well as the attractions in body and spirit and mind to those that act in their OWN right.

22. Thus we find these become things and conditions to be met within self.

23. The name then was Lucy Ellsworth.

24. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, during those periods when there were those expansions in the land; when there were those activities in which varied groups of the soldiery were garrisoned in the Holy Land; during that period when the Master walked in the earth.

25. There the entity was one seeking for the knowledge of those activities carried on by the Master, as well as the disciples. We find the entity seeking out the Master, coming in contact with same through those offices of Mary,

2803-2 Page 4

Martha, John and James.

26. Thus we find the entity contributing not only in the material needs and activities, but in the actual bringing of greater understanding to many of the peoples through those trials, through those persecutions that followed; aiding those who brought the tenets and truths to Rome.

27. For, because of this activity, the companion was recalled to Rome. Yet the entity was active even there, and thus became acquainted with Paul and Peter when they themselves became a part of those experiences that brought the establishing of the church in Rome.

28. The name then was Aquilasteben, called Amdda. The entity gained. There were the greater activities then, in its associations, in its experiences, that brought about the greater unfoldment; save in those periods when the entity was the interpreter of the law - during those periods before that.

29. Thus, as we find in the present - forsake not those ideals, those tenets that were the portion of the experience; and that loneliness that so oft brings the belittling of self and self's efforts will be lost in Him. And He will bring that to pass in the experience that may bring joy, peace, harmony throughout this material sojourn.

30. Before that the entity was in the Promised Land, during those eras of the Judges in the land.

31. The entity then was that prophetess who enabled Barak to bring freedom to those peoples. While the associations and companion were of another group, the entity chose Barak as the leader of God's forces in the delivery of the peoples from Sisera and those hordes that were making those people in that period as slaves.

32. Read oft the song, then, of Deborah, as thine OWN composition, as thy tribute to man, to his efforts when guided by the divine as indicated there. [GD's note: She later told me that she often read this part of the Bible and received great help from it.]

33. While there is the consideration given to all those influences that are a part of man's experience, as signs, as symbols - and while these do have their place - they are not other than ASSURANCES to the mind of man of God's presence with, and direction of, those choices made by individuals.

34. Hold fast, then, to those experiences as ye had in that sojourn, and those ye had in the Holy Land and in the church in Rome.

35. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there were the separations of individual

2803-2 Page 5

groups into homes, into individual activities as a union under one directing head. And homes and firesides were the entity's contribution in effort, in precept, in practical application, during those experiences.

36. These also brought into the experience not merely satisfaction, but the awareness of the contribution the entity made to man's unfoldment, man's awareness of the home not made with hands, or the symbol of the home each soul seeks in the great by and by. These are one. For, what is has been, and will be again.

37. Thus in thy present sojourn, first apply or establish self as to thy ideal - as may be gained from the study of the song of Deborah, as may be applied in the study of the Master's words to the woman at the well, and of those He gave to His disciples in that walk to the garden - in the 14th to the 17th of John.

38. Then - study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed; rightly stressing those phases of experience that bring the more and more awareness of the consciousness of the Christ, the Lord, in the life of each; condemning no one - most of all quit condemning self. Show thyself worthy, and the Lord will bless thee in every way.

39. Ready for questions.

40. (Q) What has been my past association with my father that has brought about the antagonistic attitude toward one another? Just how should I meet this situation for our best mutual development? (A) Know thy ideal, and live to that. For, each soul must give account for its own self. In the Palestine experiences were first brought about those antagonisms, by the association as the companion. Then in the experience before this, the entity who is now the father belittled thy efforts as the companion of Jackson - which ye undertook just after his demise. Hence we find two conflicting forces; one a questioning of a nature, the other the belittling of the type of efforts. But, so live that ye may look everyone in the face and tell him to go to hell!

41. (Q) What has been my past association with my mother that I feel the urge to protect her from hardships? (A) In the Palestine experience ye were in very close companionship, especially with the activities in the church. For, the mother then became the close friend who was brought from Palestine to Rome and eventually put in authority as

2803-2 Page 6

the deaconess in the church there. This should indicate those feelings for the mother in the present.

42. (Q) What causes the resentment my brother [...] expresses when I attempt to help him and how may I bring about a better understanding? (A) So live that thine own life is a living example. Don't try to persuade him at all. The associations were in the church in Rome, when there were disputations because of the servant being made deaconess.

43. (Q) What in past experiences has laid the basis for the mutual friendship between [1523] and myself? (A) The experiences in Egypt as well as in Palestine.

44. (Q) What are the past associations with [1710] and how may I help him for the mutual mental and spiritual development of each? (A) Establish a home together! As to the associations (that mean anything) - these were in the Palestine experience during the period of the Judges.

45. (Q) What particular period or periods of association in past lives especially affect my present life in relation to marriage? (A) That as just indicated - as for choice; while say nay to those in the experiences before this as well as in England and in the Roman land. But when thy heart answers to the spirit within, then be directed.

46. (Q) Would it be advisable to contemplate marriage; if so, at what period or time in my life? (A) Within the next two years - yes, in the next year.

47. (Q) Why do I feel so strongly that what's to be will be? (A) As has been described. And who would have better reason? though the ideals have not always been kept in the forefront in the present, because of antagonism. But when the Lord is on thy side and ye know it, who can be against you?
