Time of Reading In the Personnel Dept., 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. Baltimore, Maryland.

1. GC: You will give a thorough description of the health of the physical body at this time, suggesting any further corrections to be made in helping to produce a healthy body:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [2803]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, conditions are much improved since last we had the body here.

4. While there is not a great deal of change to be made in the suggestions, the adjustments or relaxing treatments to be made should be kept much in the same way and manner.

5. There should be a few more adjustments made in the coccyx end of the spine, if there is to be the better or normal development without a great deal of trouble later.

6. It is dependent upon the activities of the body as to how often there should be the treatments through the periods of gestation. These should not be so active as to overtax the body. For there will be periods during this when the body will be drawn on heavily for vital energies, especially during the third and fourth month. After that the body will have adjusted itself to much nearer the normal reaction, provided - to be sure - there are not such activities as to upset the balance in those conditions of the body.

7. But if those precautions are carried along in the manner that they have been or may be outlined for the body by the one attending or caring for the body through these periods, there should not be a great deal of disturbance for the body.

8. Do that and we will find better conditions.

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) How long should the osteopathic treatments be kept up? (A) Until the adjustments necessary are completed in the coccyx and lumbar areas.

11. (Q) What exercise would be well, and about how much?

2803-6 Page 2

(A) That depends upon the regular activities of the body, and should vary according to the stages of developments when these are begun.

12. (Q) Would it be advisable to continue taking colonics during pregnancy? (A) These should be much better for the body than too much laxatives. Laxatives for the body should be quite varied; once or twice take a vegetable laxative, as of a senna base, and at other periods one that is of a senna base, and at other periods one that is of a mineral base. To purify the body with honeyida water would be well, as it carries a sulphur - but the periods of taking this should be quite far apart.

13. (Q) What course should be taken to correct the constipated condition - what causes it? (A) As just indicated, care for this with the colonics and the type of laxatives taken.

14. (Q) What foods should be stressed or avoided during pregnancy? (A) Those carrying silicon, calcium, those good for the eyes - all of these should be stressed; that is, the salads with carrots, water cress, celery, lettuce and occasionally tomatoes - though not too many of these for they will be ripened indoors and not as good, but use these occasionally. All of these may be served with oils or mayonnaise. These should be stressed and occasionally artichokes, the oyster plant - these are good in their activities. We would occasionally take Calcios as a source of Calcium, especially after the third or fourth month. Twice to three times a week, spread thinly a whole wheat cracker with this and eat it.

15. (Q) About when can I expect my child? (A) This will depend, of course, upon the activities. These should be normal, though.

16. (Q) What mental attitude should I keep always before me during the coming months? (A) Depends upon what character of individual entity is desired. More beauty, music - if that is desired to be a part of the entity; art, and the like. Or is it to be purely mechanical? If purely mechanical, then think about mechanics - work with those things. And don't think that they won't have their effect, as the impressions give that opportunity. Here is something that each and every mother should know. The manner in which the attitude is kept has much to do with the character of the soul that would choose to enter through

those channels at the particular period. This has been indicated as the attitude, "If ye love me and keep my commandments, I will love you - as ye do unto others, ye do unto me -." Does this seem strange, or isn't it consistent with God's plan of creation? That attitude held, then, during these periods, presents the opportunity for the type or character of soul seeking expression.

17. (Q) Would my working outside the home now be injurious to the child? (A) This is the formative period. Hence it depends upon what character of individual you hope to have! One that will be a workaday, material-minded, one looking for the making of money, the making of position, the making of this or that? Not that this would necessarily be the outward attitude, but the real innate attitude deep within the soul of the entity attracted.

18. (Q) Are the glasses I have been wearing correct? (A) These are very good for the present. In the adjustments we would keep a stimulation to eyes. Let this begin from the upper lumbar areas as well as through the upper dorsal and cervical. These are aids and stimulations to optic centers.
