Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., N.Y.

1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [2818].

3. As we find, conditions in the present, taken in time, may be said to be warnings, rather than those of specific nature.

4. For, in the present, most any portion or organ may become involved.

5. Hence it will require care and consistency in the administration of those things that may be indicated for these disturbances.

6. As we find, from an unbalancing of the chemical forces through the body, there are those tendencies towards a form of congestion in the lymph; that may produce, as indicated, most any type of disturbance. For it is catarrhal in its nature.

7. Then, not only are the soft tissues of head, face, throat, stomach and the intestinal tract involved, but these sap the vitality of the body; causing at times flushes of temperature, other periods of subnormal temperature, and cold flushes in portions of the body; with headaches, or the body inclined not to be as alert; moody, and such conditions.

8. These at times cause a rising of mucous in throat; at others the abnormal flow in the activity of the kidneys; at others producing a sparse reaction, with some acute pains across small of the back. The area along the prostate gives some uneasiness at times.

9. These are the effects, to be sure; and they cause loss of appetite, restlessness at night.

10. In the present these may be said to be only the symptoms or effects produced, and have not fully fastened themselves, as it were, to some organ or activity.

11. We find in the nerve forces the forms of reaction indicated in both the organs themselves and the reflexes upon the nerve system.

12. As to the organs themselves - these in the mental reactions produce the periods of inability to think quickly, and the tendency to become irritated at slights or disagreements; but as yet the effects are only to the sympathetic nervous system, and not to the organs themselves - other than as sympathetic reactions.

13. Then, in making applications that would be beneficial:

14. Refrain from the taking of any carbonated drinks, or any alcoholic drinks of ANY form or nature. These tend to irritate and to subjugate the activities as should be applied for the correction of conditions.

15. Begin with the hydrotherapy and massage. These should include first a light sweat, then a fume bath with Atomidine (which is atomic iodine) - not too severe, a teaspoonful to the pint of water boiling in the cabinet, so that the fumes settle over the body from this evaporation. Then there should be the hot and cold shower - then the thorough rubdown; using a combination of oils prepared in this manner:

16. To 4 ounces of Witchhazel, add - in the order named: Oil of Pine Needles........1 ounce, Peanut Oil.................1 ounce, Oil of Sassafras Root....1/4 ounce.

17. These will separate, but shake together when massaging into the body, following the sweats and the showers, and massage just what will be absorbed; especially the arms, the thighs, across the abdomen, and particularly the area of the diaphragm, and then on the spine especially.

18. Keep these up once or twice a week, or twice in three weeks, in this manner or form, but being consistent with them, until at least eight or ten have been given.

19. During these hydrotherapy treatments it would be well that there be one or two colonic irrigations, so as to set up better eliminations, and that the poisons may be cleansed from the system.

20. Then, after a period of three to four weeks (not in the beginning), we would have very mild electrical treatments, - that is, the very low form that passes through the body of the manipulator as it is being given, see? and this should be not too much towards the head but over portions of the

body and along the spine, see?

21. As to the diet - keep away from rare meats. Preferably, if meats are taken, use fish, fowl and lamb, - but NOT fried.

22. Have whole grain cereals, or the reinforced cereals, whether dry or cooked.

23. Eat principally the vegetables that are of the leafy variety.

24. Do have one meal each day consisting mostly of raw vegetables; as lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, radish and the like.

25. Do these, that we may purify and prevent the settlings of the disturbance through the body as to cause greater trouble to glands, organs, or the tendons and muscular forces of the body, saving also the metabolism of the body.

26. Ready for questions.

27. (Q) What was the original cause of this condition? (A) Read what we have just indicated - unbalanced chemical conditions in the system. Do these things, if we would bring the better forces for this body.

28. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (two copies; one for Dr. H. J. Reilly, RCA Bldg., 1250 Sixth Ave., New York City) " " Ass'n file (At your convenience, let us have a history of your case to the time of obtaining the Reading, so we may have something with which to compare our information.) n.)
