Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Ky.
1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions; also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2819].
3. As we find, there are disturbances which prevent the better physical functioning.
4. Through conditions arising from applications made from the outside, there has been the formation of conditions causing pressures by thickened tissue and accumulations that form into segregations through the body; in the nature of arthritic, neurotic and neuritic conditions through the body.
5. Thus there is a complication of disturbances.
6. We find that these bring a lack of proper assimilation, the accumulations in the lymph - as of tautness through the muscular ends, and the drying of tissue in the extremities at times; headaches, and those reactions that produce the nervous exhaustion to the body.
7. In building or making for helpful forces, there will be the needs first for preparing the body to receive those applications that may be helpful in eliminating the sources or causes of these conditions.
8. For, those applications that have been made have been rather of the palliative nature, and not of a curative; though many of those that have been administered have helped, some have injured - as they became retroactive in the body.
9. Thus the period of preparation, then the period of application, and then the period of recuperation would be necessary - if there would be the consistent adherence to those suggestions we would make for the helpful forces for

this body.
10. We would begin by having at least once each week - not necessarily oftener - a thorough relaxation along the whole of the cerebrospinal system, osteopathically administered.
11. Also begin with the use of the Wet Cell Appliance that would carry the vibrations one day from Chloride of Gold, the next day from Atomidine - for thirty minutes.
12. The charge for the Appliance we would make double strength; that is, twice the quantity of all the ingredients except for the Charcoal, which would be only half a pound; this in a gallon and a half of Distilled Water.
13. The attachments would be made as follows:
14. One day, when using the Gold (in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water), - the large plate through which the Gold Solution passes vibratorially, would be attached over the umbilical and lacteal duct center, or four fingers from the navel center to the right and one finger up, see? The small or copper plate would be attached to the 4th lumbar center.
15. The next day, when using the Atomidine (in the proportions of one ounce commercial strength Atomidine to two ounces of Distilled Water) - the larger plate (but have separate plates for these, you see), through which the Atomidine Solution would pass vibratorially, would be attached over the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus, or the same area as used for the Gold the previous day, see? while the copper plate would be attached to the 2nd dorsal center.
16. Alternate these, you see; one used one day for thirty minutes, the other the next day for thirty minutes, and so on.
17. Be sure the plates are kept very clean and polished before and after using. Disconnect from the Appliance when not in use. Connect for about ten minutes before they are attached to the body.
18. Change the charging solution every thirty days. Change the Gold and the Atomidine solutions every fifteen days.
19. Each evening after removing the attachments of the Appliance, or after using the Appliance for thirty minutes, - give the body a thorough massage with a combination of oils to alleviate and make for the supplying of those energies in the system upon which recuperative and healing forces may be builded. This massage need not necessarily be given osteopathically, though it may be given even on the same day the relaxing treatment osteopathically has been given - that is, the same day of the week, see? for this massage with oils would be given every day, following the use of the Appliance. Combine the oils in this manner;

adding them in the order named: Olive Oil...............2 ounces, Peanut Oil..............2 ounces, Lanolin, dissolved......1 teaspoonful.
20. In the diet we would keep closer to those things that are easily assimilated.
21. Keep away from any quantities of fats, as of hog meats, sausage or the like.
22. If meats of any character are taken, preferably use fish, fowl and lamb, but none of these fried.
23. Eat plenty of leafy vegetables, and especially artichoke - all varieties - having this at least once or twice each week, changing in the variety; also carrots, as well as the leafy vegetables.
24. Do these for sixty days - that is, for two charges of the Appliance, and four changings of the Gold and Atomidine solutions. At the end of that period we would give further instructions - as to applications that would be necessary for the correction of these disturbances.
25. Ready for questions.
26. (Q) What was the original cause of this trouble? (A) Read what we have just given. It is partially from operative forces or conditions that exist through the body- forces themselves, where there has been the formation of tumorous conditions as well as the involving of tissue in the activity of the organs. To be sure, it will not be practical to entirely eliminate sedatives, but gradually keep away from these - or using them only as the last resort - until it is possible to eliminate them entirely.
27. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] to Osteopath, Dr. Martha D. Beard. See article [which was enclosed] explaining theory of Wet Cell Appliance; also copy of directions to be sent to Mr. A. M. Godfrey, 2709 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va., if you wish this Appliance made according to specifications for you. After you have followed all of these suggestions for the period of sixty days, let us know so we can make an

appointment for a Check Physical Reading to give further instructions. At your convenience, let us have a history of your case to the time of obtaining the Reading, so we may have something with which to compare our information. After your get the Appliance, if it is difficult for you to understand how to assemble and use it, we'd suggest that you get in touch with Mr. Thos. B. House, Phone 1220-J, who will be glad to come in and help you get started with this part of the treatment - or else his mother, Mrs. Thos. B. House, Sr. - at the same number. They have had experience with such Appliances.) ces.)
