This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of October, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [2829], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [1861].

Born September 17, 1922, in Tarrington, Conn. Time of Reading, 3:40 to 4:25 P. M. Eastern War Time.
1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '33 - very good figure - '26 - not so well - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the record here of that entity now known as or called [2829].
4. In giving the interpretation of the records here for this entity, a seal or a picturization of the high points in the physical appearances of the entity, made as a composite of them all, might be beneficial to the entity - if kept where the entity could analyze and study same with the information that may be given here.
5. For same we would make a plaque about the size eleven by fourteen (11 x 14). Upon a dark background (gray or blue; gray the better), make a shield. Upon the shield would be put, in the center, the Cross. This would be rather heavy, and in white with the gold shading.
6. Then at the upper lefthand corner put a sickle and a bundle of wheat; the wheat standing, the sickle lying by same. There would be little of a foreground or background; this rather as a vignette.
7. In the upper righthand put a ship, or sailboat - as wind-tossed; but with the dim outline of the Master coming toward the ship; not with the figure of Peter attempting to walk on water but the figure shown just as an outline, the disciples not yet knowing who it was, or what it was.

8. Put in the lower lefthand corner an entrance to a tent, or as of the nomad tribes, with not an Indian tent but an Arab or nomad tent. Hence the figures on same would be different; these would indicate the Arab characteristics. And seated in the tent (and note the difference in the shape of tents), in the door, would be an individual with two children about her.
9. In the lower righthand corner put a pyramid; this rather in the distance, but clearly the central figure, with a camel - an individual leading and another riding same. This may be the dromedary, rather than the two-humped camel.
10. These would indicate the individual characteristics of this entity; and if done properly would make a seal of that as may be indicated here.
11. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them, these are given with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfillthose purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
12. From the analysis of the experiences, these we find as characteristics in the urges indicated from the composition of both the material and the astrological urges:
13. One very adaptable to any circumstance.
14. One of a very high emotional nature at times.
15. One who may make quite a career for itself in the field of superintending or working with children's homes, orphan's homes, church affiliations for Sunday Schools, or any of those religious groups.
16. Yet the entity is one who will find the greater career in building the home for itself; as is indicated in its seal; yet the entity will find the way of the Christ - the Cross - ever as that which must be the impelling influence in the earthly experience of the entity.
17. The astrological influences alone we find as Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus; these are rather the impelling forces.
18. Yet, as we have so oft given, -
19. No influence exceeds the will of the individual, if it works with and chooses the spirit of truth. For, it is the spirit one chooses that determines the result of the effort of that individual entity, whether in the realm of materiality, of mental attainment, or of spiritual unfoldment.
20. For, as given of old, He is ever ready - He standeth at the door of thy heart, thy consciousness. If ye will open to Him, He will enter. And ye may be just as sure, if you open the other door to the prince of the world, he will

enter also. And there is ever before thee good and evil, life and death. Choose thou.
21. In Venus we find the beauty, the love, the patience, the kindness, the gentleness that is a part of the entity's beauty in this present experience.
22. We find Jupiter also with its universal appeal for the weakling, for the unfortunate, for those not as well blessed with material things. These are natural tendencies in the emotional nature of the entity.
23. Also we find those urges in Saturn making the susceptibility to things that would tend to cause the entity to forget itself. This is the weakness of the entity.
24. In Uranus we find the extremes; periods when the entity rushes, as it were, from one extreme to the other; yet patience, kindness and gentleness are ever in the lead in the innate forces of the entity. Hence cultivate these.
25. For, as thou thinkest in thy heart, so will thy life be. Let Him who is the way, the truth and the light, direct thee; not as the weakling, not as the meek, but as a living, purposeful friend and brother; making thee STRONG, giving thee peace deep within.
26. As to the appearances in the earth - while not all are given here, these that have been the experiences may be said to be indicated in the seal:
27. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, but during those early settlings by those groups of people who were seeking freedom for the purpose of worship of the divine influence in their lives; later known, and still known among many, as Friends - or during those activities under Penn.
28. The entity then, in the name Winifred Reisling, was given charge of the activities in the care of the children of those who were left either by untimely death by accident or by the disturbances among the natives at times. Thus the entity became as a director, a teacher, a nurse - one who cared for those developing lives.
29. Hence innately there are all such conditions indicated as a part of the experience and the thought of the entity. And all such appeals have a particular interest for the entity. Hence the entity may do well in training self as a teacher in such, as a director in such.
30. But, as indicated, the home will be the greater career - with its own children, as well as the thought or care of others about the entity.
31. In that experience the entity gained throughout.
32. Before that the entity was in the land when the Master walked in the earth. Then, while young in years, the entity

was among those children blessed by the Master, especially upon that period when He fed the five thousand.
33. The stories, or the experiences told regarding the Master and His care for His disciples that the entity loved the most, and that have had the especial appeal in the present, are those of His walking on water, and of His bidding Peter to come to Him.
34. While there were hardships physically in those experiences, the entity is the latter portion of its sojourn was an instructor to those in some of the churches - when the believers were scattered because of the persecutions in the Jerusalem church.
35. There the entity was in the name Cleo, or Cleopas; as an aid in establishing of homes, and in the care of the young throughout those experiences. Yes, a home of its own, though often under question because of its anxiety and activity.
36. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were those building-up activities that came with the regeneration of the Priest.
37. The entity then was among those that were purified in the Temple of Sacrifice and dedicated in the Temple Beautiful for the propagation of the more perfect group of peoples.
38. Thus again education, as well as purification, is a part of the innate forces and directions in the activities of the entity in the present.
39. The name then was Is-Tu-Bu.
40. Before that the entity was in the Inca or Peruvian land, when there had been the first of the upheavals in the Atlantean land, and the peoples that journeyed to that portion setting up those activities.
41. Hence the entity - as a priestess there - loves ceremony, and such activities that indicate a preparation through routine or rote.
42. There the entity held high those purposes of the Law of One.
43. The name then was Ip-Bek.
44. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:
45. Hold fast to that which is the order and the representative of the Cross, Jesus the Christ. His ideals, His purposes, His promises may be thine.
46. Study, then, to show thyself approved unto God; a workman not ashamed, yet putting the emphasis upon all phases of man's relationship one to another, knowing that inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of thy acquaintances,

thy brethren, ye do unto thy Maker.
47. In the establishing of a home, in the capacity as a teacher, a minister, a lecturer on any of the Sunday School activities, of those of homes, orphanages or the like, the entity may find an outlet for the promptings within self.
48. But in the home of its own, eventually, may the entity find the greater happiness in this experience.
49. Ready for questions.
50. (Q) Is it wise to plan to prepare myself for service through Religious Education, either teaching it or working with Young People in different phases of their organizations? (A) Just look at what has been indicated.
51. (Q) What other talents do I have that could be developed? (A) A lovely home! Music, of course, has its part. This is naturally, or necessarily a part of the development for church or young people's service. For, it is music that bridges the distance, oft. Also, of course, any field that it might choose; but particularly in teaching and minister- ing, and in directing such activities.
52. (Q) Would it be advisable to consider marriage before finishing my training? (A) If the opportunity, and the purposes of each are in accord with His purposes - yes.
53. (Q) Give the time of my physical and soul birth. (A) These as we find for this entity were synonymous, or as one - and the time that as indicated to the entity is near correct - in the mid portion of the early morning.
54. (Q) When, where, and with what association or relationship was I with the following people in past earthly experiences: First, my mother, [...]? (A) In the experience just before this, very closely associated in activities; but the mother was directed by the self in that experience. Hence the motherly instincts of self towards the mother in the present.
55. (Q) My father, [2874]? (A) This was rather in the Palestine or Judean experience, being - as would be called - the special friend.
56. (Q) My cousin, Eleanor [...]? (A) One heard of, rather than as a close association, in the Palestine experience.
57. (Q) Virginia [...]? (A) We do not find Virginia [...].
58. (Q) Katherine [...]? (A) Another one of the children in the experience before this, that came under the care. But she was of the different sex then!

(A) Yes, there were at least three associations indicated here. In the experience before this, sort of a lord over the entity, or head of that portion of the movement. In the Palestine experience, apparently as the parent then. In Egypt, a teacher to the entity - in the Temple of Sacrifice.

62. (Q) Edgar Cayce? (A) Acquaintance in Egypt, to be sure.
63. (Q) What mark was given me by Ra-Ta, in Egypt, if any? (A) The mark on the body, as in the lower portion of the left shoulder blade; indicating ever the holding up of those purposes to which the entity gave itself in its activity in that experience; of giving - through the best of itself - the strength of its body, its mind, its soul-purpose.
