Time of Reading In his office at 10:45 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern War Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, while there are some tendencies and inclinations here, the body in the main - with some precautions - is very good in a physical way.

4. There are some tendencies for disturbances through the alimentary canal and in the colon, especially, as to upset the digestion at times, and from this stomach disorder the soft tissue in throat gives some disturbance.

5. But as to blood pressure, pulsation, balance in the blood count, these we find are very good.

6. Nerve flexes and the reflexes at most times are normal; just these disturbances as indicated, which we find may be eliminated and the body kept in a very much better condition throughout, if there will be the adding of a compound prepared in this manner:

7. Add 1 ounce of Wild Ginseng to 1 pint of Distilled Water, preferably in an enamel container with a glass or an enamel top. Let this simmer, not boil - but almost come to the boil and then simmer for one hour, or let it stand for one hour. Strain and press out - this making the fusion.

8. Then add 1/2 ounce of Wild Ginger, beat up (not necessarily ground, but beat to a pulp), to 1/2 pint of Distilled Water. let this steep as tea; that is, pouring the boiling water over it and letting it steep for thirty minutes. Strain.

9. Put these two solutions together, then, and add: Elixir of Lactated Pepsin.......2 ounces, Grain Alcohol.................1/2 ounce.

10. This will make the tonic. Take a teaspoonful twice each day, and we will find we will rid the system of this

tendency for the lymph - in its circulation through the alimentary canal - to be supplied and to allay those tendencies for this condition through stomach and intestinal tract to upset the lymph flow in neck and head, and clear the throat.

11. Do that.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) Is there any condition present which would preclude my having the strength and stamina to complete my mission to China satisfactorily? (A) Unless there are unforeseen conditions, there is nothing to hinder the body in its physical strength - unless it should come in contact with some unforeseen forces that may be possible, but not probable under such a mission.

14. (Q) Is there any warning or advice regarding this trip? (A) Only, fulfillit - as if sent from man to man, in the fear of God.
