1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain and how. You will answer the questions that may be asked:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '38 - some changes in the circumstance, and hence in the way of thinking - '33 - anxieties - '28 - changes - '17 - yes - the outlook - differentiations - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now called [2835].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these we choose with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity.
5. As we find, there might be many courses taken in interpreting the activities especially of the entity through the material sojourns. For, there have been accomplishments, but in quite varied or an assortment of manners.
6. But these we choose, that the purpose for which a soul enters the material plane may be enlarged upon, or as an unfoldment to the entity; that there may be a greater fulfillment in those directions that fulfillthis purpose.
7. For, the entity is one who may have had, or may have, many affairs in this experience; for it is attractive, one of those natures as to draw about self others of the opposite sex as well as of its own sex.
8. Thus the greater need for the entity to indicate and to stress in its associations and contacts with others the spiritual life; not using its goodness as a shield or as an
2835-1 Page 2
outward show, but rather letting the impelling influence be from the ideals of the entity.
9. As seen from the astrological aspects, the entity is one sensitive in its nature; may oft interpret what others are thinking, even before they speak. Hence the greater needs for the entity to keep those influences about self that imply the ideals of the entity.
10. Astrologically, then, we find Neptune, Uranus, Venus; an unusual combination, especially in the Piscean sign. Thus those characteristics that have been in the experience of the happy-go-lucky lot in many of the associations; and yet others see rather the serious, or imply in the activities that this is a face being put on by the entity.
11. In Mercury also is implied the abilities of the entity to adjust itself to most any environment. The entity likes people, likes associations, and it matters little as to their social or economic position - at times; yet at others the entity causes some to feel that they have been misled as to the entity's friendship.
12. These are the good, the bad influences in the activity of the entity. Thus, as implied in the beginning, with this entity it is more necessary than usual that the ideals in a spiritual sense be those impelling forces in the activities of the entity.
13. This also implies the service that would have to do with the thought, the care of others, of those fields of activity of the more universal consciousness, or the cares for those less fortunate, or in those fields of service having to do with organized charity, or of a missionary activity of any organized group of any church organization - if these are in keeping with the ideals of the entity.
14. As to the appearances in the earth - these - as indicated - have been quite varied in their natures. Not all are indicated here, but these are chosen to indicate the complexity of emotions that have arisen, do arise in the experience of the entity in this particular sojourn.
15. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods of the early settlings in that area now known as Chicago, or then Dearborn.
16. During those periods when it was necessary for the evacuation of that particular settlement, the entity - then in its early teens journeyed with groups to those areas near what is now Portsmouth and Plymouth, Ohio, along those areas where there was the protection from the South and East; and the activities that brought about the abilities of the entity in the directing of the affairs of the young, as well as portions of educational activities in the early part of
2835-1 Page 3
the experience.
17. Then in the name Catherine Beloit, the entity became one who was looked up to as a guiding light for many of the settlers and the unfolding activities of life through those portions of the land.
18. In the present these give the abilities to attract the young and old, and those of every degree or stage of unfoldment in knowledge, to those seeking aid from this entity.
19. Hence in social service, in church or organizations where particular stress is laid upon the activities for helpfulness to others, are the channels through which the entity may find the outlet for its experiences in the present.
20. Before that the entity was in the French land, during those periods when there were disturbances and wars not only with the Huns but with those peoples of the Norse land.
21. In that period the entity found the needs for relying upon the cunningness of its ability to work magic, as it were; to use all the wiles of every nature to have and hold its place or position among those in such times. Yet the entity then, in the name Madame Queluman, was equal to the occasion.
22. Thus those experiences as may be found in the abilities of the entity to judge individuals, to know the way of their thinking, or what they think; the abilities as one who is sensitive to the activities of others, those who are interested in all forms of occult or mystic powers, the influence of charm, the influence of rote. All of these become a part of the innate or manifested experience of the entity.
23. And while much of this the entity has held in abeyance in its material activity, it finds expression in the entity's deeper mental self. And yet, as indicated, the needs in such experiences that the real spiritual values of an ideal be expressed.
24. Before that the entity was in the Persian or Arabian land, during those periods when there were the reconstructions in the 'city in the hills and the plains,' when there were those activities of exchange of thoughts and purposes from those groups who journeyed from the varied lands, when there were such caravans as used the 'city in the hills and plains' for stop.
25. The entity then was among those who journeyed with its associates and companions from the Gobi land, as well as the Indo-China land, to the Egyptian land.
26. Hence we find the interest in activities of oriental
2835-1 Page 4
natures, and in things pertaining to the occult and the mysteries of the ancients.
27. Then the name was Azeieal, and the entity was one of mystery, one of strength, one who held those activities of men of might, as well as men of position and power, as a means for attaining or controlling the needs of the entity and its desires through that sojourn.
28. From the entity's acquaintance with individuals in authority through those periods of activity, there is brought to its present experience that universality of abilities to meet varied groups upon their own footing.
29. Hence the great needs in the present, again, for the spiritual ideals.
30. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there were those activities with the changes being wrought by the Priest and the activities of the Priest's household being set in varied places of authority through the land.
31. The entity then was an associate or companion of the Priest's daughter; not as one of the opposite sex, but rather as the best friend or associate in the beginning of the activities for establishing a center of culture in what is now Alexandria, that began the collection of data, books, records of varied groups.
32. Hence we find the entity's interest in writing, in old manuscripts, in unusual books and those pertaining to all phases of individual life or associations.
33. Then the name was Hul-Er-Zeph.
34. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:
35. First, know thyself. Analyze thy purposes, thy desires. Know thy ideal - spiritually, mentally, materially.
36. Then study to show thyself approved unto the same, keeping self unspotted from condemnation; knowing in Whom ye have believed, as well as in what ye believe.
37. In those offices of social service, or the association or connection with groups organized for definite purposes, definite teachings, the entity may find the outlet for its better service; thus unfolding, thus becoming more conscious of its relationship to the Creative Forces or God.
38. For, this is the purpose for which each soul enters a material experience.
39. Ready for questions.
40. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for Mrs. [1100] if you wish her to have it, in order to compare notes with her own Reading)
