Time of Reading 4:30 to 4:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2837].

3. Now as we find, there is rather the combination of disturbances preventing the better physical functionings in this body.

4. The primary causes arise from conditions which have existed for some time, the disturbances which prevent an equalized influence in the distribution of energies through the body.

5. Also there are the effects now, that have been produced by the administrations which have been made for correction, that with the effect of the first causes have produced the activity of the organs as related to digestion and distribution of energies through the body.

6. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2837] we are speaking of, present in this room:

7. In the blood supply we find there are those tendencies for a little temperature, at irregular intervals. This naturally causes a drain upon the general conditions through the body. This produces an irregular pulsation, though not a disturbance of the metabolism of the body so much; neither that of a strep nature, nor those conditions that ordinarily arise from same, but more of what might be termed a condition existent in the liver itself - as from a congestion there, produced primarily by a subluxation that has slowed up the impulses.

8. Hence the quick pains through portions, or through the side, through the lung area itself at times; the inabilities to sleep or rest at times, the periods when there are hot flushes, when there are cold feet, and when there are, -

2837-1 Page 2

well, the "all over" feelings. These are the effects produced as reflex conditions from this variation in the temperatures through portions of the body.

9. As to the effect produced upon the physical organism - a distress is produced, as indicated, in the area - the lower portion - where there is the emptying of the foods from duodenum to the jejunum. This is the quick pain that is felt through the area, above the gall duct, but to be sure involves the gall duct in same at times.

10. It is the same area from which there is produced the heaviness through portions of the lungs, for it is the effect of the circulation between heart and liver; being more in the thrombose area than in the lung itself.

11. As to the effect upon eliminations - disturbances are caused in the assimilation, and thus in the eliminations.

12. In the nerve forces - these disturbances cause anxiety; not the sources, though the subluxation is upon the central nervous system. Thus we have those flushes. For, blood goes away from the heart and lungs and is at times slow coming back. This causes the variation in the pulsation and in the body-temperatures through the system.

13. The areas affected are the 6th and 7th dorsal, the 4th cervical, and the 1st and 2nd cervical. These deflections have been gradual, and there is produced a weakness through the body at times.

14. As to the effect upon the organs themselves, we find that the administrations to aid the general deflection to the body have caused more disturbance to the organs than has the disorder itself.

15. So, when there is a leaving off of some administrations, and the correcting of the areas from which the deflection arises (if these osteopathic corrections are made properly), and then a keeping of the body in alignment for a sufficient period, with the toning up of the general condition that have been deflected, we will find bettered conditions for this body.

16. In making applications, then:

17. First we would apply the hot Castor Oil packs for an hour each day, for three days, over the liver, the gall duct, and the whole of the right side to the lower portion of the caecum. Use at least three thicknesses of flannel, saturated - not just the oil poured on, but the flannel saturated with the Castor Oil. Apply directly to the body. Then apply heat, as with an electric pad, for an hour. Of course, do not keep so warm as to make too great a heat, but sufficient to cause the body to absorb same.

18. Then on the third day, following the third pack, take

2837-1 Page 3

internally a good, large dose of Olive Oil - at least two tablespoonsful.

19. Wait a week, and then repeat.

20. Do this whole procedure at least three times, or three rounds.

21. Then - after the three, three-day series of Castor Oil Packs, with the week of rest between each series - have a good colonic irrigation, scientifically given.

22. Rest for three to four days from this.

23. THEN - after the colonic irrigation - begin with the osteopathic adjustments, by such as Irvin. These should be adjustments from the first, and sufficient relaxation before adjustments not to cause too great a shock to that portion of the body where adjustments are made.

24. After at least ten of such treatments have been given, rest from all of the treatments for a period of two to three weeks.

25. Then have another series of about six adjustments, and we should find not only the conditions reflected in the sensory system but the organs in all the pelvic activities and the lungs will have clarified themselves.

26. At the beginning of the rest period following the first ten osteopathic adjustments - (not before) begin taking the Vitamins A and D - the One a Day; and the One a Day B-Complex tablets.

27. Keep in the open often. Don't overtax self.

28. Eat plenty of fish, plenty of fowl, and not a great deal of other meats.

29. Use leafy vegetables rather than dried vegetables. Have soups often, and plenty of sea foods of all natures.

30. Doing these, we find that the conditions will be clarified.

31. Ready for questions.

32. (Q) Is there anything lodged in my left lung? (A) Not as we find.

33. (Q) Do I have cancer of the lung or heart? (A) No; nearer to having that in the duodenum than in either the lung or heart!

34. (Q) Is the condition curable? (A) The condition is curable.

35. (Q) What causes the pain in back and top of head? (A) As indicated, from those sources of the pressure in duodenum area.

36. (Q) What causes pulling and drawing in chest and throat? (A) As indicated - from the disturbance in the thrombose.

37. (Q) Will the left lung cause the right chest and throat to hurt?

2837-1 Page 4

(A) Unless corrections are made, of course, this will gradually spread.

38. (Q) What causes the weakness and dizziness? (A) As just given.

39. (Q) Why does chest hurt and draw when lifting arms above head or lifting anything heavy? (A) Because of the pulling upon the thrombose area, and this causes the quickening and irregularity in the heart's activity. The condition is in the duodenum, not in the lung; more in liver than in heart or lung; though these naturally suffer by the pressures and strains through same. Do as outlined, and we will find help.

40. (Q) Would you advise continuing the shots for the menopause period? (A) Read what we have given and then choose for self! This is part of what's the trouble!

41. We are through. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (10/29/42 GD's note: See extra sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for osteopath, Dr. C. W. Irvin, Bankers trust Bldg., also directions for Dr. Parker's nurse to give the colonic - when it is time for these parts of the treatment.) tment.)
