Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2846].

3. As we find, there are conditions which prevent the better physical functioning. These may be materially aided if there is consistency in the application of that as may be suggested. For the complications at times work one against another, especially in the matter of the assimilating system; involving then the circulation and the organs of digestion and elimination.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2846] we are speaking of:

5. The blood supply indicates the general drain and lack of vitality. The excesses in the lymph flow through varied portions of the system are produced by dis-ease and diseased portions through the system.

6. The nerve forces have become quite fagged, though there are areas in the cerebrospinal system which are a contributory cause to the general conditions in the organs' functionings in the body.

7. We find that the sources of disturbance arise from old causes; and primarily (from an injury) a subluxation and a lesion in the 8th and 9th dorsal, and in the lumbar and coccyx.

8. Then, combined with intestinal flu, there has been a consuming in these areas to which the stresses or pressures cause deflection of the flow of lymph.

9. Thus there is a great deal of mucous through the intestinal tract, especially in colon; a great deal of pain at times, and an inflammatory condition at the beginning of the jejunum, or between colon and the duodenum; a great deal of contraction in those areas - causing intestinal

digestion.

10. In making applications for helpful forces - we would begin with taking a compound prepared in this manner:

11. First make a good strong fusion of Wild Ginseng; not so strong as to be a tincture, to be sure, but: When the Wild Ginseng is well broken, put an ounce of this in Distilled Water and boil for at least twenty minutes, until it has produced a good fusion; not using the pulverized Ginseng, but broken up; using sufficient water to make two and one-half ounces of the fusion. Strain.

12. Then, to the 2 1/2 ounces of the Fusion of Wild Ginseng, add - in the order named: Tincture of Wild Ginger.............1/4 ounce, Tincture of Valerian................1/2 ounce, Grain Alcohol (90% proof).............1 ounce.

13. We would begin with fresh beef juice as a tonic or stimulants; an ounce of this taken during a day, about a teaspoonful at the time, but let the body be at least a minute or minute and a half sipping the spoonful of the juice, see? Let it be taken in the mouth and be gradually absorbed, just by being sipped, so that it is assimilated by the glandular forces of the mouth and the throat and to the stomach.

14. Then keep the regular diet that has already been outlined.

15. After the compound has been taken for five days, have such an one as Shackleford of Richmond make adjustments in the dorsal, lumbar and coccyx areas; coordinating the cervicals with same. We find that there would be required at least six to eight treatments of these natures, before there would be further instructions; about two each week.

16. Be consistent, be persistent; keep quiet most of the time, until strength has been regained.

17. Do not be overactive, but take as much exercise in the open as practical, to quiet the nerves of the body.

18. Do that.

19. And after these have been taken - that is, the properties indicated in the solution, and the beef tonic added as a stimuli, and at least six to eight adjustments, - we would give further instructions.

20. Keep the mental attitude as of spiritual awakening to being useful for that ye profess in thy Christian faith; being then not only good, but good for something.

21. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (two copies; one for Dr. E. H. Shackleford,

See extra sheet [which was enclosed] for Druggist in preparing this compound. If you're unable to get it done there, we'd suggest that you send it to our local druggist here who has done quite a bit of this work for us and perhaps has the ingredients in stock: Meredith Drug Co., 17th St., Va. Beach, Va. See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing beef juice. When you have followed all of these suggestions for the period indicated, let us know so that we may make an appointment for a Check Physical Reading - without further delay - to give other instructions. At your convenience, please let us have a history of your case to the time of obtaining the Reading, so we may have something with which to compare our information.) )
