1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2858].
3. As we find, conditions are serious; and may become static, or increase until there is the second shock - from leakage in the arterial cord along the spine.
4. Already there has begun the drainage, or scars that will be, in the brain. This comes from the left side near the 3rd dorsal, in the present, and thus the opposite becomes the greater involved in reflexes.
5. We find that there MAY be aid, but it will require the persistent application of those things that may to the body be disagreeable.
6. There will be required a mustard poultice applied close to the base of the brain, and extending to the 3rd cervical. Before this application, it would be well to sponge off the body with warm or hot water. Change the poultice sufficiently often to draw from the circulation to this portion of the brain - not enough to blister. After this has drawn somewhat, or when it has irritated a great deal, remove and let it remain off possibly for four to five hours, see? Then apply again, and it will not require so long to redden the skin the next time, see, but bathe off each time before the application. Musterole would be better here - this will not blister so easily, see? Heat the poultice, of course, before applying. Just make a poultice of the Musterole and apply on gauze, to the area from the first to the third cervical.
7. After each application of the poultice, bathe off the body with warm water and rub with Peanut Oil away from the head, toward the central portion of the body. Rub along the spine, downward always, and along the arms, the side, the

lower limb, especially on the side afflicted. Massage the oil from the base of the brain to at least the waist line, or to that area below the 11th and 12th dorsal. Then the limbs, as well as the side, should receive massage. This should be done about two or three times a day, until there is some response - if there is response to be gained.
8. Keep the body quiet.
9. Keep to liquids and the strengthening foods that supply nourishment, but that are easily assimilated.
10. And keep up eliminations well; preferably with vegetable compounds rather than with salts or minerals. Those of such natures having the Senna base would be better [Senna base laxatives are such as Castoria, Syrup of Figs, Tam, Elixir of Senna, Senna Pod Tea made from Senna Pods, etc.].
11. The activities should be very little.
12. At each time when the oils are applied along the spine and over the affected areas, it is well to sponge off just before the massage with warm or hot water.
13. This MAY be able to eliminate, without the continued drainages, if there is the consistent applications.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) To what extent is alcohol beneficial in this case? (A) Not beneficial; it is only a stimulation to quiet the nerves here. If this is reduced, or if it is used with the foods, it may be more helpful.
16. (Q) Is the condition curable? (A) Just as indicated. Unless there are responses, there will be the second leakage here. See, this is what happens when there is the leakage in such: There is the coarse pressure along the spine, but the vacuum created by the leakage is what causes the compression on or in the brain, see? Then the gradual blood flow to that, see? While the arterial flow comes away, it is the attraction, and it produces that lesion which causes total or partial paralysis.
