1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body, answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2867].
3. Now as we find, there are conditions that are gradually causing distresses through this body. We find that these have to do with what may be called after effects in childbearing, and thus are rather specific in their nature; but are producing pressures that cause a disturbance that is gradually cutting off the circulation through the lower limbs. This will also gradually cause a greater disturbance, and of a more definite nature, unless some measures are taken to correct same.
4. From those conditions or positions that developed during the periods while carrying the child, there are misplacements. This also has caused deflected circulation from the pressures in the lumbar and sacral segments, so that the return of circulation from the lower extremities is causing the enlarging of the veins.
5. This naturally causes weakness, and those disturbances at times when there are the Periods, and the reflexes that occur through the digestive as well as the eliminating system.
6. Also there are disturbances in the general nervous forces of the body; producing at times the periods of irritation, when there are certain activities about the body. And these arise from these physical forces.
7. In the rest of the body - we find that with these corrections - conditions should be very much improved in the minor disturbances. And such corrections will prevent a great deal of distress in the next few years.
8. Then, in making the corrections - we would have these
2867-1 Page 2
done osteopathically. Let such an one as Irvin make the corrections as will be found necessary through, particularly, the sacral and lumbar areas, and coordinating the upper dorsals and cervicals with these corrections.
9. It should not require more than twelve adjustments. These we would make twice each week.
10. A character of headache that at times occurs, some disturbances that at times arise with eyes, some little kidney disorders that at times come, all will be aided by these corrections.
11. For the local condition - that is, in the veins, where the larger or varicose veins are indicated - we would massage same at least each day, TOWARD the body, with Peanut Oil.
12. If these still cause distresses, then we would use - if it becomes necessary - the elastic stocking for the preventing of the filling of the veins. But these should gradually disappear entirely, with these corrections being made as indicated.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) At what age may I expect the menopause, and how long should it cover before the change is complete? (A) It will depend a great deal upon how well these corrections are made. This should not occur for at least three to four years yet, even longer than that, if the corrections are made properly; and should NOT be of any great disturbance to the body if the corrections are done properly. The period lasts from about six to nine months. But without these corrections, it may be quite a long period, and quite disturbing, especially at times.
15. (Q) If pregnancy should occur, will it be too much of a strain under the present condition? (A) Very much so under present conditions. It is very doubtful whether there would be pregnancy, owing to the position of the organs, or as to whether it would carry the full period if it were to occur. But, with the corrections, all of these conditions should be entirely changed. For, there is a falling or a pulling to the side of the womb itself. These are the sources or causes, with the deflections in the areas indicated that cause the disturbance in the lower limbs.
16. (Q) What special foods should be stressed in my diet, and which ones avoided? (A) Just a regular diet for this body would be well. Keep the well balanced diet. While not too much fats nor yet too much of starches, but a well balanced diet here will keep

the body in the better conditions. Do use plenty of those that are of the bulky nature, or that tend to be laxatives - that is, plenty of figs, plenty of prunes, plenty of pie plant and of such natures as portions of the diet. but a well balanced diet for this body. For, those combinations, so far as the chemical forces are concerned, are very good in the body; else we would have had - with this particular sort of disturbance - a great deal more distress through portions of the system. Do as has been indicated, and we will bring much better conditions for this body.
