This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of December, 1942, in accordance with request made by the mother - [2882], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [585].

R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2870].

3. As we find, there are conditions that disturb and prevent the better physical functioning of this body. These in the main, we find, are the results or the after effects of disturbances which have hindered - or affected - the glandular circulation and activities of the body.

4. We find that these arise from those disturbances which were of a glandular nature, or those disturbances that are common with children but that were rather with this body at the time not overactive. But they left a disturbance that creates deficiencies in the activity of the thyroids, in the thymus, and in the effect to the adrenals.

5. These as we find are the sources of the disturbance. This causes a tendency for lack of sufficient red blood supply; rather a quick pulsation, or quite an irregular one; highstrung, exceedingly nervous at times, and the delayed activity in many of the reflexes at times.

6. There is the lack of appetite, with poor - very poor assimilation; consequently very irregular eliminations.

7. These are effects that are created through the body.

8. There are tendencies for lesions, or cold spots, and yet sensitive places, along the spinal column.

9. At times the body is mentally very alert, but always there is the feeling of being upset, irritated.

10. These are the effects, not the causes; for the sources are in the glandular forces.

11. We do not find the administrations as best that are being given at the present time; but if there were the preparation of the body for such administrations we find that these would produce a better effect, and more response;

not producing a hard effect upon the heart's activity nor upon the respiratory system as a combination.

12. The sinus or the antrum troubles are results of lack of circulation through the head, producing acidity in the blood and in the activity of organs.

13. These as we find would be manners which, if administered, will bring helpful forces and - consistently and persistently used - almost normal forces for the body; unless other conditions arise that are not indicated in the present:

14. First - we would begin taking one drop of Atomidine in half a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken, for five days. Leave off for three days, then begin again - taking this time TWO drops each morning for five days. Then leave off three days, and begin again with THREE drops for five days. Leave off.

15. THEN give the body a thorough eliminating activity. For this particular body we would use Fletcher's Castoria, but take out a teaspoonful from the bottle (which may be taken by the body as it is) and add in its place a teaspoonful of Syrup of Figs. Shake well this mixture and begin taking half a teaspoonful every hour. Give this until there has been the THOROUGH elimination through the alimentary canal, even if it requires the taking of a full body, see? or the taking of the doses every hour throughout a whole day, and evening.

16. THEN flush the system with a heaping teaspoonful of Sal Hepatica.

17. Let the body rest then for two days.

18. Begin with the vitamins that are combined in Vitamins Plus. This includes all the forms of vitamins that will assimilate with the body. Take one of these capsules each day, but do not begin these until after the thorough eliminations in the manner indicated. Then keep these up for at least the period of the winter months, until warm weather starts.

19. Each evening - from the very first - give the body a thorough rub along the spine with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil. Shake these together, for they will be inclined to separate. Massage into the spine from the base of the brain to the end of the spine, each evening, and then across the abdomen at the diaphragm area. Keep this up through all the periods of the other applications suggested.

20. About February, if these treatments are followed as suggested, there may be started again the administrations for the glandular forces, if desired. But we do not find

this will be necessary if these applications here suggested are kept consistently and persistently.

21. In the matter of the diet - let there be taken a little of raw vegetables each day; such as celery and lettuce and all such as these. These will aid in adding to the activity as will have been stimulated by the massage as well as as the cleansing of the glands of the body through taking the Atomidine, AND will aid in building up circulation.

22. Do have fish and fowl at least two or three times each week.

23. Do not force food on the body.

24. Beware of raw apples, but pears or plums are good. Cooked or roasted apples are very good.

25. All of the other foods should be kept in moderation. Not too much sweets, but sufficient to supply the energies for the body.

26. And we will build up resistance, we will find an appetite, and we will refrain from those nervous spells, and we will find that the body will rest much better.

27. Give the rubs when the body is ready to retire of evening. Best to sponge off the spine first with warm water, - as warm as the body can well stand - before the oil is applied, as well as across the abdomen; that is, the area just around the edge of the ribs and across the body, see, where the rub is to be applied. Do not just hurry through with the rub, but know that you are adding something to the building and resistance forces of the body. So do same prayerfully, meditatively, expectantly, and you will not be disappointed.
