This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of June, 1944, in accordance with request made by self, Miss [2872], Active Member of the Ass''n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

P R E S E N T

R E A D I N G

Born October 1, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois. Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Florida.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we are given the records here of that entity now called [2872].

3. In giving the interpretation of the records, there is much to choose from. But these we choose with the desire and purpose that this be a helpful experience for the entity, and thus the necessity of doing something about those suggestions which may be indicated for the unfoldment, more and more of the individuality of the entity to agree, in the activities in the personality, and the individuality of the entity.

4. As we find, we have an unusual personality. One with a great deal of intuitive force, or there has been through periods of activity such lessons, such experiences that we find an entity capable of analyzing much from the material angle. Yet the studies of that which requires less and less of the application of energies of itself, and more and more abiding in the truths which may be indicated to the entity in periods of meditation; or stop, look and listen to the voices of thine own higher consciousness.

5. As is indicated in the experiences in the earth, as well as from those sojourns in the realms of other consciousnesses, the entity is an efficient individual and good, yea a beautiful personality, and yet the entity needs to find what is its ideal spiritually, mentally, materially and then, as it were, just to work at it.

6. For the entity may in its study of the scripture, in its application of its tenets in its relationships to others, bring a great deal of confidence; yea, even faith; in those things, not altogether which would be called supernatural, but supernormal interpretation or understanding of the laws of nature and the relationships of same to the activity of individuals.

7. Study all of the systems of astrological aspects. There are two definite principles: Those which are the result of study in the Indian land, or paint that phase of same, including the theosophical; not theological - but the purposefulness of life. These will be of real interest to the entity, will enable the entity to answer much for the faith which lies latently and manifestedly in the entity.

8. In the activities in these directions may bring to the body periods of anxiety, but the greater study of man, and man's relationship to the Maker, is through self. Analyze thyself as to what is thy ideal.

9. Then, not merely by expression in words but the expression of the ideal (for the credence of that in self, as well as that asked for in others) found in the activities of its life experience, for these will bring much more harmonious experiences than otherwise.

10. In its study though, of such, its attunement may be so that such philosophical studies and the study of self will unite in the awakening to the possibilities within self.

11. As to the astrological or astronomical urges latent and manifested, all are a part of the entity. All that have appeared, all that may appear, may be known of the entity; but without making practical application of same in thy dealings with thy fellow man, of what use is same? Understand and interpret all in all, or forget it altogether; but let's see you try and forget it!

12. Astrologically we find Jupiter, Venus, Mars, but Mars changed in Saturn's approach, when that period of expression began.

13. Thus the entity may act in the capacity of instructing others in the secret understanding of: The Lord thy God is one!

14. The abilities of the entity lie in choosing those ideals, not merely as something for others but as the attempt to apply in its own experience, its own active life, philosophy of the Orient.

15. These are the more appealing to the entity and may be applied in the life, but know it is all inclusive in "Know ye, O Israel, the Lord thy God is one Lord."

phrases, but as something ye would write down.

17. Then analyze as to what should be the results of those in the application to bring them into materialization, and in relationships one to the other.

18. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, not all would be given but rather as that which indicates the pattern of the entity in same.

19. As we find, before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, when there were the formations of groups who have become very much berated by many, and yet those tenets which were held to as a special dispensation of interpreting of man's relationship to self, as also man's relationship to God.

20. The entity was then in the name Josephine Cowan, and among those who were driven from the state during those controversies. Thus, we find those reflected as to place, the universality of Creative Forces or God in the entity's consciousness. Hold fast to same. It is well.

21. Before that we find the entity was in the Roman land and the entity was among those who were representatives of the court of Greece in the preparations of manners in which greater continuity of body, the greater understanding of life might be obtained through the study, the application of those tenets which told of man's unfoldment in his study of himself in relationship to Creative Forces.

22. The entity was then in the opposite sex, and in the name Orian. In that experience and from that experience the entity learns its bit of cooperation, as that it requires, the necessity of the requirements for cooperation among groups.

23. If the entity would join the group let it be philosophical in its teachings.

24. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were the purifications in the Temple of Sacrifice. The entity measured up to the requirements for its application, for its study in the Temple Beautiful, but relationships, environs brought doubts. The entity left those activities for the associations with Atlanteans.

25. In the experience the entity gained and lost, and then gained. Thus the necessity in the present, if the entity would find harmony, find contentment, find even compassion in the greatest sense for others to study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed, but rightly dividing the words of truth, keeping self unspotted from the world.

27. (Q) Just what should my life work be?

(A) In organizing or helping in group movements.

28. (Q) Is there a reason for the previous lives that creates my physical condition today? (A) Resentments in regard to those not thinking as self. In applying this then, it isn't indicated that the entity is to become so broadminded as not to be principled by ideals, but the ideal not ideas. The ideal must be one, even as He is one. For He is not a respecter of persons, but did not will that any soul perish, but keepeth those who trusteth in Him.

29. (Q) What is the purpose of this incarnation? (A) You just asked it, you have been given: The meeting of self and to blot out resentments.

30. (Q) How should I go about getting into this work? (A) Study the philosophical or theosophical data. Lecture. Most of all, study self. For if ye would know others, know self. For as ye do to others, ye do to thy Maker.

31. (Q) Should I work alone or with some particular group? (A) As indicated.

32. (Q) Is there any spiritual cause for the physical condition? (A) Difference between that and karmic, and what is spirit? With what purpose ye do a thing.

33. (Q) What particular lesson am I to learn from this condition? (A) Tolerance and love.

34. (Q) Is a happy marriage indicated for me? (A) There should be. This should come with the answering of something within self, not to sex, not to an idea, but to an ideal. Let them be a complement as one to another.

35. (Q) What have been my former relationships with the following: My brother, [3359]? (A) Ye have known him very well in the experience before this. Not as brother and sister, but as of working together in cooperative manner. Learn to cooperate between you, and you can correct him better; as it will be a stabilizer for thee.

36. (Q) My sister-in-law, [...]? (A) We don't find the association.

37. (Q) My mother, [...]? (A) In the activities in Egypt as well as in other lands, the closer in the Egyptian where ye find differences and where ye find ye depend one on the other.

38. (Q) My father, [...]? (A) In the experiences before this as well as in the Egyptian ye find relationships which vary a great deal for at times ye are as pals and at others not so hot, others there may be a tolerance and yet ye disagree in privilege and purpose.

40. (Q) My brother-in-law, [...]? (A) Ye can rule him better than your sister can, for ye did it once before. Apply self, rather, though, in these. Not being unto self, sufficient, but know that in self is the way to truth and light and understanding, and not that someone brings thee a message from heaven or from over the sea but as it answers to the still small voice within.
