Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, and those anxieties respecting some physical disturbances.

3. As we find, while these in the main are not so very serious in the present, they do become very aggravating at times. But with the correction of same in the present, we find that we may more easily eradicate the disturbances and prevent greater disturbances later on.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2882] we are speaking of:

5. The circulation indicates that toxic conditions exist in the body, and hindrances in portions of the body from accumulations that are the result of the poor elimination, and sources of disturbance from which excess poisons are indicated.

6. In the nerve forces we find the sources as well as the effects that are created - in the circulation to the head and upper portions of the body; indicating some disturbances through soft tissue of head and throat, and some sinus disorder. This becomes a source of disturbance, producing excess acidity; easily the body takes cold at times, some little upsetting in the digestive system from these effects of drippings or the mucous formulating through the digestive system.

7. These also are sources, with the accumulation of poisons, that make for shortness of breath, quickness of pulsation, at times. These produce at such times, then, not so much pain as a heaviness, or awareness of a fullness through the lower portion of the lungs and to the upper part at times. These affect reflexly the eliminating system and, of course, the assimilating; producing irregularities as to digestion as well as the desire for food.

8. As we find, the greater source of these - as indicated - arises from those subluxations in the cerebrospinal system. These are primarily in the lower dorsal and lumbar, though they have deflected a condition as of a lesion in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dorsal, and also congestions through the cervical areas.

9. In making for helpful forces - we would administer about six to ten adjustments osteopathically.

10. After the second or third of these, do begin to increase the eliminations. It would be preferable to use a vegetable compound as a laxative, and one that might be best suggested by the one making the mechanical (osteopathic) adjustments to relieve these tensions in the cerebrospinal system.

11. And do have scientifically given at least one or two colonic irrigations, to purify the colon area.

12. The condition in the lower extremities indicates rather a strain in the muscular force than a broken bone. It is rather the muscle and ligament. Massage the area with a saturated solution of table salt and apple vinegar, AFTER using a compress of a saturated solution of Epsom Salts. This will make for soreness for a little while, but will aid in strengthening and giving better activity to ankle, foot and lower limb.

13. The adjustments in the lumbar, sacral and the dorsals will, of course, aid in making better circulation and taking stress of the body.

14. Do not take too much of fats. Do have, and keep, a well balanced diet. Keep good quantities of Vitamins B-1 and B-1 Complex, especially as the purifications are set up in the eliminations and better adjustments in the body forces.

15. Use an inhalant to aid in keeping the nasal passages clear - this would be beneficial, prepared in this manner:

16. To 4 ounces of Grain Alcohol, add - in the order named: Oil of Eucalyptus...............20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...........10 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.....5 minims, Rectified Creosote...............3 minims, Tolu in Solution................30 minims. Keep this preferably in a container where two vents may be made into the stopper; these to be made so as to be kept corked, these not to go into the solution, but into the cavity or the space above same. Shake the solution and then remove the corks, and inhale deep through the nostril, also to the mouth. This will aid in keeping down those accumulations of mucous and purify circulation.

17. Do that.

18. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Should I take thyroid medicine? (A) Not in the present. As we find, if there is sufficient of the food values carrying iron, the B-Complex, niacin and the like, these with the proper stimulations should make for better conditions than for the glandular forces being dependent upon this particular form of activity.

20. (Q) Is the back condition due to injury or disease? (A) As we find, subluxations - as indicated.

21. (Q) Are my lungs and heart sound? (A) So far as organically concerned. Functionally they are disturbed, but these activities indicated should bring them to better conditions. Do as indicated.

22. (Q) Should I have the moles removed? (A) We would not in the present. Let's have conditions better than they are at present. Then if it is desirable, these may be removed - with the electric needle, but let it be done by one who understands such; else we may produce a disturbance that would be very harmful - and especially with those conditions existent as at the present time.

23. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for Osteopath; let us have name and address of the one you choose) Copy to Ass'n file [Questions ans. without being asked: Is the condition in my head a sinus infection that can be cured? Why am I so short of breath? Is there a bone broken or out of place in my right ankle?] (See extra sheet [which was enclosed] for druggist in preparing inhalant, also illustration of type bottle to be used for same.)
