Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Connecticut.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. While the body is still in the growing or developing stages, we find there are conditions preventing the normal development. These are rather a complication of causes, though the main cause - as we find - is rather definite.
3. There has been an injury to the end of the spine, or in the sacrum. This, combined with lack of elements in the body, hinders circulation, especially in the lower portion of the body.
4. Such pressures cause a lack of proper flow of circulation, both nerve and blood, and also are of such a nature as to raise the temperatures of the body at times - in the attempts of the system to create an energy sufficient to carry on through these deflections in the area affecting the sciatic reaction.
5. As we find, in making administrations, all of these forces or influences are to be taken into consideration. But do not make applications that would work one against the other; rather those that would be of a coordinating nature.
6. We would first make the gentle administrations osteopathically for the correction of the pressures in the lower portion of the spine, and of the circulation to the limbs and the lower part of the trunk portion of body. These we would do osteopathically.
7. Also each day, when body is prepared for rest abed, after the bath, massage along the spine (always massaging downward) with Cocoa Butter, gently; followed by a gentle massage with an equal combination of Grain Alcohol and Peanut Oil - to keep down the temperature, as well as to be absorbed sufficient to give strength and help for the body.

8. About once or twice a week, under the direction of the one who makes the osteopathic corrections, we would give the Infra-red - the Infra-Red light - about twenty minutes. It may be gradually increased, but kept sufficiently far from the body as not to overtax. But this should be particularly over the area of the lower portion of the spine - say, from the 9th dorsal downward, to the back and back of the limbs.
9. In the diet - have plenty of calcium, the foods that carry plenty of calcium; as the whole grain cereals, as plenty of the citrus fruits and the like; especially fish and fowl in small quantities, to be sure, but not large quantities. These should be a part of the diet for the body.
10. Do these and, as we find, we may bring the correction, and bring about better conditions for this body, [2883].
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) What causes pain in feet, legs and knees occasionally? (A) As indicated, this is from a hindered circulation through same - by those pressures in coccyx, lumbar and sacral areas.
13. We are through for the present. Two copies to Mother, Air-Mail, Special (one for Dr. Rathbun, Copy to Ass'n file osteopath) )
