1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the relief and cure of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find the body in the physical forces very good in many respects, yet there are some abnormal conditions that cause distress in the system. These, as we find at the present time are specific conditions and affect the system in sometimes specific manners and ways. At others rather a reflex condition. Hence the cause and effect are viewed often in different way from the manner as the effect is shown in the system.

3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [2888] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find very good at the present time. There are times, as we see, from the indications as are left in the various functioning organs, when the blood carries elements that are not eliminated through their proper channels. Hence the system, especially in the emunctories, becomes over-charged. At such times we have trouble with liver, and reflexes to the kidneys, tendency of constipation and the arising of toxins in system. At such times we find distress from the mesenteric system, and pains through the right and lower side. Again we find these reflexes cause distress through the same blood supply, leaving toxins in system, distresses in the lower end of stomach, burning sensation, tendency when foods are taken to belch a great deal, or to produce, as it were, lumps rising in throat, pain in pit of stomach and toward the right upper portion of body.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find the seat of the troubles, especially in the cerebrospinal nerve system. In the ganglion about the last dorsal and the 2nd and 3rd lumbars, we find lesions that produce the greater portion of the trouble in body, or the seat of the trouble in body, and

other conditions are reflexes, or reaction from the trouble produced there.

6. We find in times back there was a strain through lifting and wrenching of body, when there was trouble caused there. This the system went about to heal in normal manner, yet with this drawing about the strained portions produced a form of lesion, that with retraction at times brings these conditions. In this we find it brings the disturbance to the stomach, the kidneys, the liver, the spleen, the functioning of digestive system; not always, yet these come spasmodically, suffering more when we have reaction from either physical or mental strain to the body. In the sympathetics this has gone about to produce specific conditions in the functioning organs. This we see also reflexly through sympathetic and through sensory system creates reflexes in other portions of the sensory system.

7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, brain forces very good.

8. Sensory organism, reflex strain on cerebrospinal nerve plexus, and that of the drosses in system, bring again a form of lesion in the 2nd dorsal and 3rd and 4th cervical. This brings strain to sensory system. Has brought in times back more to eyes and to the throat than as at the present time, for we then had some distresses and troubles. The tendency was at that time to clear throat, something seemed to rise and had to be swallowed. We find that we brought burning sensations to the eyes, inflammation to the back portion of the eye ball proper. This has been relieved by the lesion as has formed, which prevents this retraction; yet must be relieved to bring the body to a normal coordination through nerve system and functioning organs.

9. Lungs, bronchials, very good.

10. Heart's action, no organic conditions, yet we have found a subnormal pressure at some times. Again an abnormal pulsation, produced by toxins carried in system when congestion showed in body.

11. In digestive organs, in stomach proper, these reflexes, and from these conditions, an acidity had formed in lower portion of the stomach and in the duodenum, and in the lower end of the stomach; there has been times when there were lacerations rather than ulcerations, for the soreness produced there was from an acidity or too much hydrochloric for this lactic or lacteal forces in the system. This taxed, as we see, the liver. Hence we have a dormant condition, yet an engorged right lobe. The system attempting to again adjust itself.

12. In the lower portion of the intestinal digestion through sympathetic and through the functioning of the hypogastric

and pneumogastric plexus, under acid strain, under toxin strain, has produced a condition in the head of ascending colon, wherein congestion brings distresses to the body. This we find purely reflex conditions as produced in system from this condition existing in lower dorsal and in lumbar region. This we find also in the hepatics and in the kidneys, a reflex condition of the system attempting to eliminate through their channels drosses carried in system.

13. Then, to relieve these conditions, and to prevent the taxed system from serrogating and causing functional conditions, that would necessitate the organic disturbance, take in the system these properties:

14. Make a tea of Ambrosia Weed, or Ragweed. Six drams of the weed to twelve ounces of distilled water. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to six ounces. Strain and add one ounce Cane Sugar. Two ounces pure grain alcohol, with one dram Balsam of Tolu cut in it.

15. The dose would be teaspoonful twice each day, on arising and just before retiring, and have the corrections made in the dorsal and lumbar region, through deep manipulation (osteopathic) so that the assimilations in system and eliminations in system may be corrected.

16. Do these, taking the treatments, osteopathically, at least twice each week, until twenty-four treatments have been taken, and two quantities of medicinal properties have been taken.

17. We will find the body will be brought to the normal conditions.

18. For the diet, while this is being taken, let the body only take meats of fish or fowl, and not too large quantities. Plenty of rough material, as it would be; brans, gruels and green vegetables of celery, lettuce, carrots, beets, such vegetables good and better for the body. Not too much Irish potatoes or any night shade variety. Beets, carrots, lettuce, celery, peas, beans, lentils. No Irish potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips or of that nature for the body.

19. We will find by the time these have been taken, the body will be to the normal condition, [2888].
