Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. Washington, D.C.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [2898].

3. As we find, there are disturbances that prevent the better physical functioning of the body. These have to do with what might be termed the storing of energies or vitality in the body; the lack of this; and/or it may be termed the battery or the vital forces being so depleted by the effect of improper coordinations between the eliminating channels of the body.

4. There are these specific manners in which used energies, toxic forces and drosses are removed from the body: through the alimentary canal, the respiratory system, the kidneys, and the activity of the perspiratory system.

5. These energies lacking, there become pressures in various portions of the body, or the toxic forces, and these used energies - or ash, or dross - produce pressures. These will eventually become static in some form or another unless removed.

6. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2898] we are speaking of:

7. The blood supply indicates a poor circulation, or an incoordinated circulation between lungs, heart, liver and kidneys; and that there are those lacks in the superficial circulation carrying off drosses through these channels.

8. The effects produced upon the body are: a torpidity of the liver, a lack of a coordinated activity in drosses eliminated from kidneys, and an irregular activity at times in the pulsation; and tiredness, shortness of breath, and repressions through the lungs.

9. These at times also produce the effect of neuritic conditions in the extremities, or in the joints, or even the

2898-1 Page 2

acute conditions through portions of the body at times.

10. Also the pressures that are produced upon the sensory system, or centers, give an accentuation in the activities of the organs of sensory system; as disturbance in the ears at times, those conditions through the eyes at times - these especially when there is any strain in the attempt to use same. The taste becomes accentuated; odors at times are rather disturbing to the body, and at others it is hard for the body to gain the proper equilibrium in this direction.

11. As we find, in making corrections for this body:

12. We would have regularly, once a week for at least six to eight, the general hydrotherapy treatments. These should include the sweats, being careful that the heat is not too much for the activity of the pulsation; hence these should be rather in the form of fume baths, in preference to raising the temperature too high or producing too great a respiratory or perspiratory activity for the disturbance in the respiratory system. Such fume baths would be followed by a thorough rubdown, after which there would be a thorough massage with the oils that are stimulating to the better circulation through joints, through the muscular forces of limbs and arms. For this body we would use this combination of oils, in these proportions: Peanut Oil..............3 ounces, Olive Oil...............1 ounce, Rose Water............1/2 ounce. Shake these together and massage thoroughly into the body, BEFORE the alcohol rub is given.

13. Occasionally also, include with these treatments the colonic irrigation; the frequency of which should depend upon the quantity of mucous indicated in the colon when the high colonic is given. Three of these should be sufficient, but this will depend upon the response the body makes and how well these are administered. They should not be too close together, but should be given in a manner as not to produce a strain on the body; that is, have the water body temperature, and in the first water put to each gallon a level teaspoonful of table salt and a level teaspoonful of baking soda. This does not cause irritation or a strain, if used properly. Then in the rinse waters, to a gallon put at least a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline.

14. After the first one or two general hydrotherapy treatments have been taken (not before), we would - under the direction of such an one as Waters - have three to six to ten osteopathic adjustments. Preferably we would have

2898-1 Page 3

these about twice a week for the first four or five, and then they may be taken a week apart.

15. Be mindful that the diet is kept towards those things that are laxatives - not too much grease nor too much of starches as combined with those things that are alkalizing or alkalin-producing. Then, do not eat white bread at the same meal when cereals or starches are used. Brown bread or toast is preferable. Rice and potatoes should not be taken at the same meal with these things, for this particular body. No two starches should be taken at the same meal, see? Have plenty of those foods that carry the vital energies of B-1 and the B-Complex. These are found, of course, in the yellow vegetables or fruits, or the reinforced cereals that are of the whole grain. Preferably, get these vitamins for this body in the foods, rather than in concentrated tablet or liquid form.

16. Do those things, and we will bring better conditions for this body of [2898].

17. Ready for questions.

18. (Q) Why is there a hurting nearly all the time around my waist in front? (A) This incoordination of the circulation between the liver and the kidneys, and the pressure is upon the diaphragm area.

19. (Q) Will this treatment better the condition in my eyes? (A) The condition indicated in my eyes - that is, through the organs of the sensory system - is from a general debilitation. The applications suggested will stimulate better circulation to the eyes, ears, nose and throat, and thus will aid the eyes materially.

20. (Q) Is there a reason, and can I in any way remedy the "falls" or "knock downs" that every-so-often happen to me? (A) As we find, when the body is better, or more on the alert, these should gradually disappear.

21. We are through with this Reading.
