1. LBC: You will give a personal, spiritual and financial reading for this body, as well as answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: This body we have had before. Personally, very good. Physically, in the general conditions of the body. Mentally, these bring distraughtnesses at times to the body, though hopeful - and good, with the present conditions surrounding same; though there are submerged some conditions that bring distraughtness. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) What should I do that has not been done, and what changes should be made in order that I might increase both volume and profit in the ... Clothing & Shoe Co.? (A) The changes as have been brought about bring their result, and there is seen that with and under normal conditions the business is and will increase in the proper way and manner, and will prove satisfactory, as the conditions, the periods, the times develop. There is only to be kept that same attitude as is felt under present conditions and surroundings. Do that.
4. (Q) What lines can be added profitably? (A) Preferably push those LINES already in hand, rather than adding others until those as are being dispensed are in the way of being outclassed, or unsalable, or untenetable, by the presenting of others that present a better condition or better outlook. Use that in hand, and as others present themselves apply those also.
5. (Q) Will our volume of business and profits for 1928 be greater than this year, 1927? (A) Be a great deal! From eighteen to thirty-three percent better, with the present outlook.
6. (Q) What method should I use and how can I most successfully serve [...] in her industrial expansion? (A) As the entity would serve self in the expansion of self toward bigger, better, greater things, so serve those peoples, those policies, of the place and the surrounding country. Add that of expending SELF as well as that of which self represents. In the manner of that as self is

expended, others come to depend upon and look for that necessary that may be given only by the individual. That is, each individual has its own particular field of endeavor to build, and is a portion of the whole. Fill its own niche in the development of the ALL, and that of the personal will be carried forward too. DO this, however, toward the good of all and not towards selfish motives. Let that of self be as the result; not the first purpose.
7. (Q) Will financial success come thru devoting my business efforts entirely to the store, or should I seek outside interests, and if so what? (A) Just as that as has been outlined.
8. (Q) In a previous reading one paragraph read, "One that will find there will be much worldly goods brought to the entity in the years 32 and 33 (1932-1933) provided the mental is used in the way of discretion as to some investments that will be made in 28 or 9." [2901-1, Par. 10] What is the nature of these investments, and how should they be handled? (A) Meet these as they arise. During these periods there will come to the entity those possibilities, or those opportunities to seek these, or these will be presented, even as has been given. Do not seek to know same until same is presented, for that would be as seeking to help others that others might help you. Do not pat the other fellow on the back expecting to be patted in return. Let the patting be from that thou HAST, also presented - and help the other fellow! There's a vast deal of difference. Find it! Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be open unto you, and apply that thou hast in hand, else thou will not know how to rule over much - for he that is unmindful of those things ALREADY in hand is not able nor capable of handling even the greater things.
9. We are through for the present.
