Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time.
1. GC: You will have before you the entity Col. [2930], bachelors Officers quarters, ..., Ft. ..., ..., Washington. You will answer the questions, as I ask them, regarding his health, his mental, material and spiritual welfare.
2. EC: Yes - some associations here we have had before. [In DEK's readings?]
3. As we find, in the physical there needs to be those precautions respecting the eliminations.
4. Those tendencies for the headaches, that occasionally occur, are a combination of this lack of proper distribution of used energies and some conditions or disturbances within the mental self. But these precautions, with the general welfare and consideration of same, should bring bettered conditions.
5. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) What is the best and quickest way to build up my health? (A) As indicated, the mental attitudes - combined with the proper eliminations being kept. This will include exercises, of course, as well as the establishing of coordination in all of the eliminating channels of the body.
7. (Q) What climate is best for my health and mental welfare? (A) As we find, that closer related with the activities in or near Washington, D.C.
8. (Q) Can I attain more for myself and the government by remaining on the West Coast or by returning to Washington or to some other post? (A) As we find, these activities in the present are not in the better conditions for the body nor for its abilities. More that would have to do with Ordinance and Supply would be more in keeping with that for which and through which the entity might the better serve.
9. (Q) Is Ordinance the branch of service I should make an effort to enter? (A) As we find, such activities are more in keeping with the entity's abilities; those in the Supply departments.
10. (Q) Through what officer or person can I get the
2930-1 Page 2
assignment which will aid me to serve my country best and bring best welfare to myself and family? (A) Through the head of Supply, in Washington.
11. (Q) Would I be of more value to that special, or any special branch of Ordinance in Washington? (A) As just indicated, in Supply.
12. (Q) If attached to Gen. [...] or Gen. [...] in the S.O.S. at Washington, would this make a better future for service? (A) As given, in these environs - whether under the direction of either of these - would be the better. But as we find, coming more directly under the Head of the Supply Department would be the better channel; be equal, then, to either those activities of [...] or [...].
13. (Q) What is the best manner to attain the best work for my ability? (A) Through that direct application, or intercedence, through such departments, see? Directly to the head of same.
14. (Q) Why was I sent from Gen. [...]'s staff in Ordinance to Ft. ...? (A) This would come in the personal consideration, but as we find this should not be looked upon as such nor animosity held; make the application rather for those activities more directly under the head of Supply Department.
15. (Q) How can I best attain the friendship of Gen. [...], Chief of Ordinance Section of the U.S.A.? (A) By complying with, or in keeping with, those bettered conditions as may be had through the orders from those still higher up.
16. (Q) What is Gen. [...]'s attitude to me now? (A) Indifference in the present. But these should be personal, and not conditions indicated from here.
17. (Q) How can Col. [...], Chief Personnel Officer in Air Corps at ... be approached to aid me? (A) Directly by someone who has the interest of the entity at heart. But is this, still, in the direction sought? As we find, it would be better to go directly to and through those channels indicated - as head of Supply.
18. (Q) Where is it best for my family to live - Florida, Silver Springs, Indiana, or in ..., Washington, while I am in the service? (A) This as we find should be the choice of the family, and in keeping with the best interests of all concerned - from every angle of the activities.
19. (Q) Will I get my promised promotion to a full Colonelcy in my present location? (A) This is as a question; and as we find, as indicated,
2930-1 Page 3
there should be measures taken - for the entity to supply, or to give the better service to the country - through other channels, and thus would not be in those directions but in reaching the full colonelcy in Supply.
20. (Q) Will I be ordered to a foreign post in 1943? (A) These should not have to do with other than the supplying and in keeping with the interests of those at the head of such conditions, or those portions of the activities through which the entity makes the applications.
21. (Q) Is it indicated I will ever return to the Ordinance Division of Army at headquarters in Washington? (A) Yes - if there is the attempt; if there is the intercedence, if there are those who will go directly to those at the head, it will come about!
22. (Q) How can my friend David E. Kahn aid me? (A) Making directly those suggestions - or equivocations of same - directly to those in authority.
23. (Q) How long will I serve in America before the actual fighting war is over? (A) Whether this is a month or two years, it should be rather the outcome of the general conditions and not be set as a goal.
24. (Q) Would I be a good man to go to the peace table to aid oppressed nations? (A) This as we find may be in an advisory capacity, but we do not find the entity among those who may be considered - or chosen. He may be considered, but it will be rather in the capacity of those of supply in other directions during that period. For, there will be a long peace conference!
25. (Q) What program is best for me to submit to the final peace table for an ending of all war? (A) As just indicated, it doesn't appear that the entity will offer such but rather be in the position of assisting in those directions in supply - IF those suggestions are acted upon as just indicated!
26. (Q) Will Japan and Germany both be defeated in 1943, or when will it end? (A) This has little to do with what the entity is seeking.
27. We are through for the present. Two copies to Mr. David E. Kahn (one to N.Y., one to Hotel Raleigh in Washington, D.C.) Copy to Ass'n file le
