Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2939].

3. As we find, there are conditions that disturb the body. In the present we find that the vitality and resistance are rather low, and most ANY disturbance might become very serious for the physical conditions of the body.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2939] we are speaking of:

5. First, the blood supply indicates the low vitality, and the lack of sufficient blood supply or resistance in the body.

6. In the present the superacidity and the cold is very aggravating to these low vital forces of the body; and these cause a good bit of anxiety throughout the system.

7. These as we find are the results of the basis disturbances which exist in the body, though all of these conditions must be considered when administrations are made for correcting these forces.

8. We find that the nerve forces are the greater source of the disturbance, as there have been and are those changes being wrought in the glandular forces, in the eliminations. These have upset, then, the centers that regulate the eliminations through their varied channels.

9. Thus the liver, the kidneys, the heart and the lungs all become involved in the conditions.

10. The acute conditions that exist in the present involve more the throat, bronchi AND the liver and kidneys.

11. Do not confuse these acute conditions with the basic disturbance, though - as just indicated - all of these are involved; though the primary cause is the lack of coordination in elimination as supplied by the nerve

energies from cerebrospinal and sympathetic nerve forces.

12. In the present, however, the acute conditions involve the lymph AND sympathetic forces of liver, lungs, throat AND kidneys; as may be related to the general eliminations.

13. These disturbances have reduced the vitality, causing the bursa in arms, in shoulders, and through portions of the torso, to feel at times as if there were needle pricks, or as if the very tendons themselves were causing the burning, drying sensations. These are from the lack of lymph and the supplying of same. These draw on the blood supply, producing those weaknesses, the dull headaches, the drowsiness at times and at others the inability of the body to rest properly.

14. All of these, then, are the reflexes from those centers that are involved in the cerebrospinal system itself.

15. We find in the nerve centers, through the lumbar and sacral, and especially at the lower portion of the 9th dorsal, an aching at times; also between shoulders and especially through the right upper portion of the lung, and the arm, in those areas from which impulses are received from cerebrospinal and sympathetic ganglia - in the lumbar axis and the end of spine, the brachial center - or at the 2nd and 3rd to the 4th dorsal, and throughout especially the 3rd cervical AND the 1st and 2nd. These are disturbances from which reflexes react to glandular forces of the body, and the nerve forces as related to glandular reactions.

16. In the organs of the body we find that the disturbances are rather reflex than organic, as yet; though, as indicated, the ability of assimilation becomes very much disturbed, and the inability for the body to eat properly has its effect. These are produced by those congestions, the inability of coordination of the production of the lacteals and the acids in their proper relations through the digestive forces. These cause in the present, or contribute, to the overacidity of body.

17. In making administrations that would be most beneficial, - in the present - first the cold, the congestion, must be eliminated.

18. Take only liquid foods, remaining quiet. Have plenty of the citrus fruit juices - orange juice with lemon in same, the grapefruit juice with lime in same. Of course, the pulp of the grapefruit and orange may be taken if desired by the body. Whole grain cereals, a little milk and the like, and the yolk of an egg occasionally, with brown toast and coffee or tea, may be taken if desired - through the next few days.

19. But begin at once with taking the Caroid and Bile Salts tablets AND Alcaroid.

2939-1 Page 3

20. Take one Bile Salts tablet before the noon meal. Take two before or at the evening meal. On the morrow take one before the morning meal. Take another before the noon meal. Take two at the evening meal.

21. After each meal, beginning now, take a quarter teaspoonful of the Alcaroid in a full glass of water, though dissolve it first in a small quantity of water and then fill the glass. Then take another full glass of water afterward. Keep this up until the eliminations are set up good.

22. Keep resting. Keep the feet warm. Even if these are bathed in very hot salt water it would be beneficial for the acute conditions.

23. When the body has rested, and cleared somewhat of the cold - then begin with the osteopathic adjustments. These should be very gentle in the beginning. For the first three or four these should be taken at least every other day; then about twice a week, until fifteen have been taken.

24. After the beginning of the adjustments, take the Alcaroid at whatever meal is the heaviest during the day, but about fifteen to twenty minutes after the meal.

25. When there have been at least some six to ten of the adjustments (not before), begin taking the Vitamin B-1 Complex. Take the One A Day brand for this particular body.

26. Do these. And when there has been the completion of the fifteenth treatment, we would give further suggestions for this body.

27. For, there must be taken into consideration the responses the body will make.

28. Of course, after the clearing of the present cold, the general diet should be of body building foods; but do not take any of those that are acid-producing.

29. Do have plenty of the fish, fowl and lamb occasionally; not too much of white potatoes. No white bread at any time. Sweet potatoes may be taken. Raw vegetables - not too much, but a little each day, for these will be rather severe on the body.

30. Do not take Bran but DO take fruits and stewed fruits as an assistant for eliminations.

31. Ready for questions.

32. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for Osteopath when the time comes for him to give the treatments) Copy to Ass'n file (See list of Alkalin-producing foods [which was enclosed].) ].)
