Born July 23, 1894, in Brooklyn, New York. Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Penna.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over years from present - " - '40 - changes - '36 - anxieties - '27 - expectancies - " etc., on back to birth date.)

3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2953].

4. In choosing the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these we choose with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfillthose purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.

5. In the urges latent and manifested, two may be indicated as being of special influence in this experience of the entity; that as related to the early experience of the entity in one of the sojourns in the earth, and the astrological aspects - but not according to the ordinary term of astrological influences.

6. For, as we find, each soul, each entity bears a relationship with the universal consciousness, and thus it is a contribution to the activities of the whole. Thus it is not to be said that because the entity was born when the sun or a planet was at some particular phase of its relationships to the earth, a certain influence is produced. Rather should it be said that the entity is born at a particular moment because of its influence upon the earth

2953-1 Page 2

AND the universal forces about same!

7. To be sure, other influences also have their relationship. But for this entity we find these as composite characteristics in the experience of the entity, when considering the astrological influences as we term same and the sojourns in the earth as related one to another:

8. One that is careful in its choices of associations, of its relations. Each choice is related to some particular endeavor in the activity of the entity's idea or ideal as to its material, its mental, its spiritual relationships.

9. Thus we have what we might term an unusual combination in the entity's activities.

10. One having very definite ideals, very definite purposes; and these the more often (though not always) are coordinant in the spiritual as well as the material life.

11. Thus one that is careful, one that may be trusted, one that will keep the word - unless it be of that nature which to the entity is not worthy of consideration.

12. These we find as definite urges in the experience, when considered as a whole.

13. Astrologically, we find Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus are the ruling forces. Saturn and Mars also enter at varied activities; not altogether as adverse, but the anger of some individuals has been very adverse to the purposes of the entity. In this manner is there the relation to astrological activity.

14. Thus one of high mental abilities.

15. One who has a universal purpose in its activities and in its relationships, and in its group activity; especially is this indicated in its choices of associations.

16. And Uranus brings the extremes that are a portion of the entity's experience, especially dealing with others and the manners in which the entity takes or passes judgment upon conditions, upon business relationships, upon business associates - as it would take what would be the extreme in the adverse and the extreme in the cooperative manner; then he walks himself in the middle of the road, ready to choose from whichever direction the helpful forces or adverse conditions might arise.

17. In Saturn we find the changes that have been of the definite nature in the experience at times, as indicated in the periods of wonderment or expectancy. The entity has changed its choice of activities very directly and walked almost in opposite directions at times.

18. As to the appearances or sojourns in the earth - all of these may not be indicated in the present. Those will be given as we find that have been and are the experiences

2953-1 Page 3

bearing upon the choices that are being made, are to be made, in its activities.

19. Before this the entity was in the earth during that period just previous to and during the American Revolution.

20. The entity then lived or journeyed much in its activity in the land of its present nativity. Thus certain phases of activity in and about portions of New York, Jersey and Pennsylvania, become as a home, as stamping ground, as areas in which greater influence may be had over others or in cooperation with others - in those environs and activities.

21. For, during those periods before the position or stand was taken, the entity was neither a Federalist nor a Tory, yet kept in that position where there might be conveniences for the entity and associates from either side. But when definite stands were taken, those activities as had to do with dealing in foods, furs, the supplying of provisions for the armies not only in the entity's vicinity but in other parts of the land, brought definite changes for the entity.

22. Then known as Morton Broughtenden, the entity lost, the entity gained - when there was the choosing of those activities that became for the definite good of the whole, rather than as choices for self-aggrandizement alone.

23. These are the lessons that were gained. Thus we find in the present application of self the directing of the young, the influencing of activities of groups for activities that bear upon the stabilizing of a community, of special groups for definite work as may have to do with certain definite problems, become the thoughts and experiences of the entity - as it chooses its activities in the present.

24. Things having to do with trade also are dealt with by the entity in the same form of activity. But those fields of service in which the entity may excel, as from the universal gain, are in that activity as a director of groups that have as their motive the stabilizing of activities for the unfortunate or underprivileged in varied groups.

25. Before that, as a period of very definite service, the entity was active during the Roman expansion; when those activities had to do with bringing other lands under a coordinant activity, as provinces or groups or whole nations or lands.

26. The entity was among those chosen to pronounce the ability of certain groups to pay tax or tribute to the Roman influence.

27. There the entity, though, came under the influence of the experience of the Nazarene; and this brought to the entity a period of unfoldment where there was the greater consideration given, and the consideration of those things

2953-1 Page 4

which had been given as to how certain periods, certain years, were to be the free years, free periods for the activity. This activity of the entity, especially in Laodicea, brought the entity - because of the closer contact with one Lucius - into an experience that made for the greater activity; when the entity began the brotherhood groups that were a part of the experience of men, and yet not being limited to any one of the religious groups of the period.

28. In that experience the entity excelled the more. Hence its abilities to organize, to direct organizations in the present - whether those that might be called the brotherhood groups or whether those in any organization of any character. These abilities are such as to bring the entity into the position as one of authority in such groups.

29. The name then was Terteleus. In the experience the entity gained. In the present the application of those tenets, those principles that were fostered and propagated by the entity through that period of activity, will bring the greatest satisfaction in the activity of the entity.

30. Before that the entity was in the Holy Land, or the Promised Land, during those periods when there were the separations or divisions of the land - when the children of promise came into the land, when there was the casting of lots.

31. The entity was among those that bore the ephod at that time; not as the high priest but as one set by the leader in that period to be the active one with the priest Eleazer; and in those activities that brought the selecting of ones, as well as the fitness of same for the varied groups. The entity became one to whom many looked for service and activity.

32. Thus laws, rules, regulations, bylaws and such in organizations, mean a great deal to the entity - as to whether they are to be kept or to be broken depends upon the use to which they may be put, not only by the entity but for the benefit of the whole. These are principles, these are purposes well to be kept. For they are in keeping with those forces that bring the awareness of Creative Force working in and through individual groups.

33. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during the periods of reconstruction with the return of the Priest to authority in the spiritual life of the land; when there was the re-setting of the laws as related to the preparations of groups for places or positions of authority, - or the vocational guidance and activity.

34. The entity was among the physicians of the land, as

2953-1 Page 5

would be termed today; for the entity aided in the activities in the Temple of Sacrifice. Not as a priest but rather as an operator of the electrical forces that were used in performing operations at that period.

35. Thus the entity will find that the investment of funds in things pertaining to power companies, electrical companies, electrical supply companies, will bring for the entity greater returns than things that come from other sources of supply.

36. The name then was Telk-El-La.

37. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:

38. First - analyze self and self's purposes. Know thy ideals, and know the difference between ideals and ideas. Few individuals have ideals that are based upon spiritual things, of which the mental and material ideals are merely the shadow. Ideas are thoughts, but thoughts are not always ideals. Know the author of thy ideal, and know that it is able to keep thee in whatever may be thy experience. And always be ready to give an answer for the faith that lies within thee.

39. Keep thy faith - in men, in things, and - most of all - in self and God. For the earth is indeed the Lord's and the fulness thereof, and they that go about to practice and preach such in their experience with their fellow men build to that which is worth while.

40. Contribute thy part to thy fellow man, in activities in groups, societies, organizations that have to do with the thought of betterment of communities, of cities, of counties. These are worth while, and thy contribution to such - for many of the reasons indicated - may be a contribution to thy Maker's welfare in that activity.

41. Let others do as they may, but as for thee and thy house, "WE will serve the living God." Let that be thy watchword.

42. Ready for questions.

43. (Q) Is it to my advantage to stay in my present position or to accept a new position which my employer has in mind for me? (A) For the present in the same position. But when there has been a more definite outlining or planning, change. This would come a little later, in three to six months.

44. (Q) Is it indicated that I will be happy in this new job, and successful? (A) If the preparations are made for same, be happy and be successful.

45. (Q) Am I the primary consideration in this change or

2953-1 Page 6

the secondary one? (A) The secondary in the present, but - as indicated - as for the causes and the uses - so bring these about as to be - the entity, the self - the primary factor, and that to be accomplished secondary.

46. (Q) Who is the primary consideration? (A) Certain individual groups that are connected, or that are to receive the benefits from same.

47. (Q) How and where do I fit into Mr. [...] ideas and plans of future organization, and will these work out? (A) As indicated, when there is a better understanding or better interpretation of the purposes, these may be brought to fit in much better. These are not idealistic, but are ideal for the abilities of the entity.

48. (Q) Have I the necessary qualifications to be fully successful and accomplished; if not, what can I do to measure up fully? (A) We wouldn't have said what we just did if you hadn't been fully qualified!

49. (Q) What, if any, weakness do I have which I must overcome? (A) That in which individuals feel at times that the entity is lacking in its interest. Hence that appearance to others as of an indifference.

50. (Q) How do you suggest I overcome this, and what can I do toward improving myself and my position? (A) As indicated, deep within the entity is the love of its fellow man. Its plannings, its successes - not merely material, but that character of success that brings peace and contentment within, not mere satisfaction. For he that is easily satisfied has already attained to his highest accomplishment. But be content. But show more interest, work at the universal interest, in others.

51. (Q) How many years should it take to elevate myself to a higher and more important position? (A) How many does it take for thyself to consider thy own abilities? Know that the abilities lie within self. Know whose is the earth and the fulness there, the silver, the gold and the cattle. Show thyself approved unto Him, and He will not fail thee. And to those who are worthy are given those talents to keep, those talents to multiply.

52. (Q) Is it indicated what that position will be? (A) It should be more and more in the activities for the brotherhood of man, as related to groups and communities. And it will grow to this, we find, in whatever may be the material applications.

53. (Q) Do I have any enemies of whom I must be careful? (A) Yes - the greatest enemy is self, as it is with

2953-1 Page 7

everyone else. To thine own self be true, and you will not be false to others. Enemies are only those that are selfish in themselves. If thou considerest them as self, thou art as selfish as they.

54. (Q) How long is it indicated that I will continue to live at my residence in [...], Penna.? (A) Until at least fifty-five ('55). 1955.

55. (Q) Will I be able to choose the proper man to be the manager of our ... plant? (A) Will be able to choose, though he is young as yet - as would be considered - for the place. Ben! [Den? Bien?]

56. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Mr. David E. Kahn " " Ass'n file (From a comparison of your Reading and his, I would surmise that you have been closely associated in the past - and should be in the present - with Mr. [1151], ..., N.Y., son-in-law of Mr. [1266], ..., Ohio.
