Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern War Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - we have the body here, called [2957].

3. As we find, conditions have been and are rather of a complex nature.

4. These we find arise both from pathological and psychological conditions, and the pathological are in part - the main part - the result of the psychological conditions.

5. While there is not a derangement, there ARE periods of lapsing into the incoordination between sympathetic reflexes and the central nervous system reflexes. And this causes the greater part of the weakness.

6. Parts of this are escapes of the body-mind.

7. These, then, must be taken into consideration when administrations would be made for the body.

8. That there are tendencies for accumulations into pockets in the lymph circulation is indicated by the acute conditions which arise at times through the areas of the lymph circulation; as in abdominal area, as in parts of the lung and throat, as in the head; and as found to be existent in a more acute form in cysts on parts of the body, especially in the head area.

9. For these - disregarding other conditions - we would apply a poultice of Glyco-Thymoline, as a pack; using three to four thicknesses of gauze thoroughly moistened and applied to these cysts - warm; not hot but warm. Change the application every twenty minutes, doing this for about an hour each day.

10. When there is acute pain, as in the throat or in the bronchi, or edge of trachea, or in the abdomen, the application of the Glyco-Thymoline packs will also relieve these tensions.

11. We would have, for this body, the hydrotherapy treatment

as combined with a very light electrical treatment. This, the electrical treatment, will be rather severe for the body the first two or three times. For, this should be applied through the body making the massages over head and down the spine, and over portions of the body-muscular forces, but coming away from the head at all times. Not too strong with this, else it may cause too great a rebellion in the body.

12. In the hydrotherapy should be included a good sweat, not with dry heat but rather the fume bath cabinet sweat; for the dry heat would be too draining on the body. For the fumes use an equal combination of witchhazel and rose water, or a teaspoonful of each in a pint of water that would form the vapor to settle over the body, see?

13. Following such a fume bath there should be a thorough body rub, all over the body, down the limbs and away from the head for this body, even plumb to the soles of the feet. Let the rubbing be AWAY from the body when the limbs are massaged, see?

14. After the body is thoroughly relaxed by this, THEN there would be the passing of the electricity through the body, through the hands of the one making the application to the body of a gentle massage, see? This would come especially along the spine, down the arms and lower limbs.

15. Then, as to the natural activities of the body:

16. Go into the open as oft as practical, but in company with those that are not too sympathetic, but with the attitude that the body may HELP SOMEONE ELSE! in its conversation and in its activity.

17. In the diets keep closer to those foods that are easily assimilated; whole grains, plenty of fruits and vegetables, not too much of meats but plenty of sea foods and fowl - these are preferable for the body.

18. And keep that attitude of being constructive.

19. And when these have been applied, if the body will turn its mind loose, we will find better conditions for this body - called [2957].

20. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) What has caused the exhaustions which strike without warning? (A) The tendency for the accumulation of lymph pockets through the body. When these cause acute pains, apply the three or four thicknesses of gauze saturated with the Glyco-Thymoline, full strength, then covered with an oil cloth or the like to hold the warmth and to prevent spreading of the liquid.

22. (Q) Could it be that the psychic ability (such as it is), denied proper outlet, is draining my vitality?

2957-1 Page 3

(A) As indicated, this is more of an escape. The psychic self, of course, plays an important part in the pathological condition. Thus we would RID the body of these disturbances through the low electrical forces, see?

23. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self through Mrs. [...] (one to be given to Dr. H. J. Reilly, R.C.A. Bldg., Reilly Health Service, 1250 Sixth Ave., NYC., for specific directions as to the hydrotherapy and electrotherapy) Copy to Ass'n file e
