1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have those records here of that entity now known as or called [2981].

3. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them, there is much from which to choose. These we would choose with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfill those purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.

4. Much that would be of interest might be gained by some, as to why the entity entered this present sojourn; partly by choice of self. For, viewed from the spirit, much of time and space in a material concept loses its relationship - and becomes NOW.

5. Hence those experiences which have brought distortions in the material plane are not merely because of karmic law, but the application of karmic law in the life of the individual entity.

6. Thus we find those greater opportunities for the entity meeting same, not only in the law of cause and effect - or karma - but also in the application of the law of grace.

7. The activities of the entity, thusly, are tied in the material, in the mental, in the spiritual, with what the entity does about the choices made.

8. The body of each entity is the temple of the living God. There He has promised to meet the entity. To live, to be -

2981-1 Page 2

and that activity - unto the glory of the Creative Forces is the purpose of the entrance of each entity into material consciousness.

9. That met, that accomplished in any experience, is unto that unfoldment of the awareness of the oneness of self with that Creative Force which it, the entity, would magnify.

10. Many influences enter in the experience of this entity; more from activities in the material plane than from what might be ordinarily termed the astrological sojourns. While the sojourns of the entity in those consciousnesses we term the astrological aspects do have their influence, these are manifested more in the manner or way of thinking; as indicated in Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn.

11. These, then, bring the high mental abilities; the interest in music, art, and the universal consciousness - also the affliction in Saturn. Thus the desire of change in the activities. Thus the necessity, as in most entities, that patience be practiced, not only as a theory but as a reality in the experience; not only patience with things, conditions (that are a part of the experience), but with people, with others, with time, with influences that may alter the activities of the entity.

12. As to the appearances - the entity puts a stress upon karma. Thus, as may be the experience, if ye live by law you must judge by law. If ye live by faith, ye judge by faith. If ye live by grace, ye must practice grace - and be gracious. If ye would have friends, ye must show yourself friendly. If ye would have patience, ye must be patient first with self, and then with others.

13. These, then - the appearances - have been quite varied; for the entity is an Atlantean - and a Saturn-Atlantean; using knowledge in that experience to its own confusion.

14. The entity seeks knowledge of every form or manner, and it is well - but to know to do and not to do it is sin. And thus, as ye use that in hand is more given thee. For, life itself is the manifestation of that creative force or influence ye would call God.

15. Study, then, to show thyself approved unto an ideal. What is an ideal? This ye must first determine in thine self.

16. Not all of the appearances in the earth may be given here. But these that we choose to give indicate activities and urges that are the experience of the entity:

17. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during the early settlings; being among the groups that settled on the island off the coast of Carolina.

2981-1 Page 3

18. With the breaking up of those groups, the separations, the entity turned north - while many, or more of the group, went south.

19. The entity became identified with those activities in parts of Virginia, or the places that later became the first settlements for a long period.

20. In the present, then, the entity is able to adapt itself to environs, if it so chooses.

21. The entity then in its activities became closely associated with the medicine men of those periods, and was acquainted with those activities of one Powhatan - that later became identified with groups and individuals that form a part of the history - as recorded - of that portion of the land.

22. Hence the entity's interest in healing, in the outdoors, in music, and especially in those things that are of the reed type of music; that as may be called the pastoral - as the song of birds, as of water, as of nature itself. These are the more interesting, and these the entity should have as a hobby: the imitating of the calls, of the different activities in nature. These abilities are manifested in the present in varied ways or manners.

23. The name then was Eli Gossman. In that experience the entity gained in knowledge. Questions might be put regarding the application. But the love of nature, or the study of nature as related to the unseen - or the Creative Forces - arises from that experience, to a great extent.

24. Before that (there were others, but this we will give) the entity was in the Holy Land. We give this because it presents the urge that comes from those activities, in the abilities for detail work.

25. There the entity was in those groups that were not wholly of the Roman, not wholly of the Palestine land, and yet acquainted with and working with both factions - which caused some confusion.

26. Yet the entity in that experience gained much. For the entity then was a bridge builder, as might be termed today, or a pioneer in the ways and means for transportation, or the making of connections for the varied activities; being among the first in that particular period to build with timber.

27. Thus wood, types of wood have a particular interest; those things having to do with physics, and building - as engineering and activities of such natures. These the entity dislikes at times, and yet form a part of the activity for study by the entity of facts and figures that are of the physical and metaphysical nature; feeling that

2981-1 Page 4

these should be studied in the same manner as facts pertaining to supports in the building of spans or bridges or the like - for, one factor is dependent upon another. And these are as the universe. And these may be the manners in which the individual entity may attain to an awareness, a consciousness of the universal forces manifested by the Way, the Truth and the Light - that the entity knew of, and yet paid so little attention to - until there were those periods when there were great persecutions of those who had been the followers of the Nazarene. With the experience by many of those in authority in Rome, the entity then gave some study to it - as Darlenot.

28. In that experience, judged from man's judgment, the entity was a material success. Judged by his own experience, of not being satisfied - a failure - though the entity gained much through that period.

29. And those activities in self, and the consciousnesses that arise - much may be interpreted in the light of the relationships which existed between those in political authority and those in the religious rule, or between those in power of the State and power of the mind through that period.

30. Before that the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, though the entity was more in accord with those activities of the tradesmen. For, the entity conducted a caravan that journeyed from the land of the hills, or from India, to Egypt - and passed through that area of the "city in the hills and the plains."

31. Thus the trades, the promptings and urges in individuals for adornment, as well as amusement, arise from those applications of the entity's abilities through that particular sojourn - as Carovda.

32. The entity gained throughout that period. For, the entity eventually established in the "city in the hills" a center, or a trading post, where those influences from the teacher Uhjltd brought an unfoldment to the entity - the consciousness that what is the better for all is the better for the individual, or the universal consciousness.

33. Before that the entity was in the Atlantean land, just before the breaking up, when the lands of Poseidia were being warned - when individual groups were leaving for the various realms to which some had been classified, or had been given their term of activity.

34. The entity chose rather to remain in the land, yet the expeditions that were known of - to the various lands - disturbed the entity. And yet, as is found at times in the present - the entity was too hardheaded, or too much

2981-1 Page 5

centered in self, to even attempt to save self.

35. Thus the entity worries easily, as to that it doesn't know, and as to that it does know - that it has the wrong slant on same!

36. Know, rather - as has been indicated - all knowledge that ye may have is within self. For, thy body, thy mind, thy soul, is a part of that universal consciousness. Thus ye become aware of same. But know, the application of same is not to the glory of self but to Him, Who is the Way, the Truth and the Light.

37. Thus may ye find more and more that awareness that His promises are sure: "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." This is not merely a saying, but a consciousness to which each soul may attain in its interpreting of his, the divine consciousness in its relationships to others. And in the manner ye treat thy fellowman, that ye do to thy Maker. For with what measure ye mete, it is measured to thee again. And whether or not there is the attaining in self, the try may be counted to thee for righteousness.

38. Then, in attaining that as may be the outlet for thy abilities:

39. Choose that most in keeping with thy purposes, thy aims, thy desires. Are thy desires and thy purposes ideal, in thine own consciousness? What is thy ideal, spiritually?

40. Then from that may be gained the ideal mentally.

41. And the material is the outgrowth of those two.

42. Thus may ye come to know thyself and thy relationship to thy Creative Forces, as ye choose those directions that the manner in which ye treat thy brother is the manner in which thy growth is attained.

43. As a merchant, as a tradesman, or as the engineer, ye may find the outlet for thy greater abilities.

44. Study to show thyself approved, then; a workman not ashamed, rightly stressing the words of truth, condemning not thyself nor others.

45. Ready for questions.

46. (Q) In what line of endeavor would I be most successful and happy? (A) Read that as has just been indicated.

47. (Q) How can I better my present position? (A) Just as indicated, make the application of Creative Forces and influences in thy experience, in thy dealings with others; studying more and more to show thyself approved, and - most of all - be patient.

48. (Q) Was the loss of my leg a karmic debt, and if so, what? (A) This is an experience that is necessary for thy better

2981-1 Page 6

unfoldment. Not as in payment for something, but that ye might know the truth that might set you free.

49. (Q) Can I know my perfection to the extent of manifesting another leg? (A) Not in this experience.

50. (Q) How can I keep from worrying so much about my wife's health? (A) Why worry, when ye may pray? Know that the power of thyself is very limited. The power of Creative Force is unlimited.

51. (Q) What qualities must I develop to grow more rapidly spiritually? (Q) Patience!

52. (Q) Is the moderate use of liquor, tobacco and meat a bar to spiritual growth? (A) For this entity, yes. For some, no.
