Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., N.C.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes - we have the body here, [2985].
3. As we find, conditions are such that the body would be warned respecting some disturbances. And having corrections made in the present may prevent a great deal of disturbance later on that might become of a much more serious nature.
4. These, we find, have to do with the glandular system, and the effect that is being produced upon the organs of the body.
5. Then, these are the disturbances as we find them with this body, [2985] we are speaking of:
6. Owing to the posture of the body, oft, and some disturbances which arose at the time of conception - or birth, rather - there are those subluxations that, with the posture, or remaining long on the feet, or walking an unusual length of time, produce a pressure that deflects from the sacral and lumbar areas to the glandular forces above the kidneys, AND to the activity of the liver itself. And these reflexly find a reflection in the organs of the pelvis.
7. Thus:
8. In the blood supply there is produced a tendency for non-eliminations through certain channels, as should be coordinated with the respiratory and perspiratory system, and the alimentary canal.
9. Also these produce pressures that give some deflection to the eyes at times, that cause not an uneasiness or pain but rather a heaviness, and a tendency for a film over same at times.
10. The reflexes to the organs in the pelvic area, and to the locomotories, tend to produce a slowing of the
2985-1 Page 2
circulation from the extremities. The limbs become tired, aching, especially from knees down; heaviness through the thigh and the like.
11. A bit of nausea, headache, may be the result at times.
12. Without the correction of these, and with an unbalancing of the chemical forces, we may have a tendency towards arthritis or neuritis, and a great deal of disturbance through the periods of the change in the activities of the glandular forces.
13. These as we find, then, need correction.
14. First - we would begin with the osteopathic adjustments. Have at least two each week until ten or twelve such adjustments have been taken; with special reference to the corrections needed in the sacral and lumbar, BY relaxation, and then corrections in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area.
15. Also take internally the compound known as TONICINE; this especially just before the time for the periods. This will not only stimulate better activity in relationships to coordinating the cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems, but add a glandular stimuli to the thyroid, to the glands in the assimilating areas, and those above or at the area of the kidneys.
16. In the diet - keep away from too much of starches. In this period, especially, we would take much of the foods that act as clarifiers or purifiers to the blood supply; such as poke salad. We do not mean pork meat, but poke salad - the plant. Cook the very tender leaves, allow to come almost to a boil and pour off the first water, then put in fresh, clear, cold water, and cook a few minutes. This taken about twice each week for three to four weeks will make a great deal of change in these periods of irritation from the superficial circulation. If three to four stalks of the Irish Potato tops are put with the poke salad, it will be most beneficial.
17. Eat vegetables of all characters, but principally the leafy variety. Celery, lettuce and the like; radishes, carrots - these raw and cooked - all of these would be well for the body.
18. Have a great deal of sea food - fish, and the like, - this would be well.
19. Do these, and we will bring better conditions for this body.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) What causes the spells of dizziness? (A) As just indicated, the disturbance of the circulation between liver and kidneys and heart, and the upsetting of
2985-1 Page 3
the glandular forces - the clogging by pressures upon the body centers from which impulses between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems should react in the body. Do those things indicated, and we will remove these disturbances.
22. (Q) Why have I been losing weight, and have so little resistance? (A) This lack of the ability of the assimilating forces, as indicated in the glandular reactions of kidneys and liver, especially; and the needs for purifying blood stream. And the impulses that will be received from the corrections indicated will bring back the normal forces of body weight.
23. We are through with this Reading. Two copies to Self (one for sister, to be given to the Osteopath who makes the corrections - Let us have the name and address of the one you choose) Copy to Ass'n file file
