This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of June, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [3032], Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

R E A D I N G

Born July 28, 1907, in Bradford, Penna. Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:40 P. M. Eastern War Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3032].

3. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them - the seal of this entity would be most unusual:

4. A large EAR, well formed - but only one showing, and with a rose upon the left side and a cross upon the other.

5. The significance of same: Hear the way of the Cross, if you would know the beauty of life.

6. In giving the interpretations - these we choose with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for this entity. And in the application of the suggestions the entity may find the life unfolding to greater opportunities.

7. For, the entity's abilities - if it will listen - are many; especially as in directing the young, especially the young teen age, or in recitations, or in radio work. The stage has ever been something of an inspiration, where and when the entity allows same to be.

8. We find one combining, or with the combination of the astrological urges and the material sojourns, rather Mercurian fiery; that is, it can hold its tongue - if it chooses, but this doesn't keep the entity from getting mad (even if it holds its tongue), if someone upsets it! But, be angry and sin not! This is not merely a saying.

9. Hence these urges give the entity seemingly almost unlimited power or ability to DO things, if it chooses to do so. To be sure, this entity - above most others - finds

within self that which is the motivative influence. Learn much of that as given by the lawgiver, that there is within self those abilities to choose to make those activities that may bring into the experience that which is really and spiritually desired by the entity.

10. Thus, as the injunction would be - from astrological as well as material sojourns - STUDY SELF. Make not merely a mental analysis of self but write it:

11. What are thy spiritual ideals?

12. Where is heaven (to the entity)?

13. Where is God?

14. What relationship does the entity bear to the Creative Force? (And then underline what you are doing about it!)

15. What is religion?

16. What is morality?

17. What is patience?

18. Write these - as related to self, not to others.

19. Then thy mental ideal - how do ye attain to a consciousness? By merely saying and re-saying, or by living and applying it in relationships to others?

20. What is the ideal mental ability? Ye have it as near as one in every million!

21. In the material ideal, is it the satisfying of some material self, some appetite, some desire of body? or is it the fulfilling of a spiritual and mental purpose?

22. Write these, and then - as ye analyze self and apply, lay this aside - and then in three months check on self. It will be worth while.

23. Dramatize it - but not at the time; rather the change that has come about, this as to make it worth while.

24. LISTEN! The cross brings the roses - in beauty, in essence, in purity, in ease.

25. As to the appearances in the earth - these have been far afield; that is, long periods have been in the making and in the experience. And while not all are given here, these indicate the abilities in the entity's experience and how and why much of these are to be unfolded in self and self's own consciousness and awareness.

26. Before this, then, the entity was among those early groups that separated themselves as Friends, or Quakers, in the periods of the establishing of those factors.

27. The entity was among those, and determined to know those tenets, and applied them. Yet in the latter part of its experience these factors did not quite, to the entity, measure up to the principles that should be held by those professing such.

28. Thus we find that tenet, or that tendency in self to

question others and others' motives for activities. This makes the entity the student of people, and the entity is interested in people - and why various groups, various cults, are ruled or directed by some principle or factor set as a copying of a truth or tenet.

29. The entity then became a teacher, an instructor - in what today would be called the rudiments of a universal physical education, rather than of reading, writing and arithmetic. And the basis for vocational activities was then especially stressed by the entity, as Faith Pentence.

30. The entity gained, spiritually, mentally, materially. Know in the present that these are one, and are related one to another, but the MIND is the builder. For it is that invisible connection between the spiritual or soul body and the physical being - as may be indicated in the physical disturbances that arise at times.

31. Before that the entity was in the Russian land, in those parts known as the Ukraine - then the Achaian land; among those peoples of definite groups as related to the stressing of the tenets of soil, of nature, as might be applied in the individual lives of groups.

32. The entity then was every whit a woman, and beautiful in body and in the abilities to persuade others - and a user of the flute, as in the dance, as in the nature's gathering of the individuals.

33. Then the name was Axentzey. The entity gained physically, the entity applied mentally, the entity saw spiritually.

34. Thus in the present experience we find the entity one capable of attaining much through the mental and spiritual aspects of abilities within the experiences of the entity, and in its ability to sway or to persuade peoples.

35. Thus the entity should become as a lecturer, as one of radio or of any of those forms where there is the use of the persuasiveness of the voice upon groups of individuals.

36. Before that the entity was in the Persian land, during those periods when there were those activities and relationships with the establishing of the "city in the hills and the plains."

37. But the entity held aloof from those activities there; questioning those as to their relationships with the leader.

38. Thus the entity became a student of the mysteries of the east - as they were called even then - and of symbols, signs, and the stars. These became the study of the entity, and in the middle portion of its experience the entity became a soothsayer - but studied the tenets of the teacher in the "city in the hills" from afar; visiting at times, but

only as one comparing things.

39. Thus the needs in the present for the comparing of SELF, self's motives, self's ideals, and know the difference between spiritual, mental and material things - yet all being one in their purpose, and thus must be in their incipiency or beginning founded in spiritual truths.

40. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods of turmoils and strifes, when there was the banishing of the Priest. The entity took definite sides with the Priest in the first, but with the activities in those periods of banishment, the entering of those individuals from Atlantis, the uprising of the Natives and the associations of the entity with the brother of the Young King, these brought to the entity disillusionments - as to all; and self-banishment for a greater period of the experience - or until those periods of the regeneration of the Priest.

41. Then the entity entered into those activities in service in the Temple Beautiful.

42. AGAIN indicating those abilities as the dramatist, as well as the speaker or orator, and the ability to persuade or to sway peoples with the voice.

43. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:

44. Study self in the manner indicated.

45. Do analyze also the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of John, in thy daily life.

46. And then apply self in the training of self, first, to know thyself, and then in persuading others to study themselves.

47. Here we will find outlets, here we will find abilities - not yet dreamed of.

49. (Q) For what particular phase of radio work should I attempt to prepare myself? (A) That which persuades people to use or to demonstrate, or to give activities to the use of articles or the like.

50. (Q) Through what channels should I go? (A) Prepare self, first. Analyze self. Know the needs, and then you will find the right channel.
