Time of Reading 10:30 to 10:45 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Ala.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3047].

3. As we find, there are inclinations that may become very serious. For these are disturbances in the central circulation; that is, that deeper circulation as related specifically to lungs, heart, liver and kidneys. And these show irregularity, which is indicated by that irregular condition in the pressure, a condition that at times - though as yet this occurs only under stress - causes the skipping in the heart beat; upsetting in the digestion, and the lack of those abilities or tendencies towards lack of breathing deep enough.

4. Thus at times the lungs in part are left with the lack of proper oxidization of the whole of the blood stream; tiredness occurs at times; heaviness across the small of the back, just below the kidneys at times; the lack of proper assimilation of foods, and the lack of the proper combinations in the lactic acids, or the combination of alkalines and acids.

5. The lacteal circulation, then, is inadequate for the proper assimilation of foods.

6. Thus at times there is a good deal of belching, at others some uncomfortableness across the area of the diaphragm, and a heaviness at times in the lower portion of the alimentary canal.

7. The headaches that ensue from these are of the dull character; the eyes burn at times; also there is the bad taste in the mouth.

8. These, as we find, are the sources, and those tendencies and inclinations in the body, [3047].

9. We find that these would bring about much better

conditions:

10. As a balance in the digestive forces, rather than the character of acids taken in the present, we would take ACIGEST; a teaspoonful in raw milk every other day, preferably at the evening meal. This will be better assimilated.

11. Also we would add a small quantity of CALCIOS three times a week, as a stimulator for the calcium content of the body-forces, adding much to the abilities of the body to assimilate and eliminate properly. Take just the quantity that would be required to spread on a whole wheat cracker, thinly, and eat it - with the cracker, you see. This is the better manner for the assimilation.

12. Also we would have at least eight to ten GENERAL osteopathic treatments, with special reference given to the areas in the upper dorsal and through the cervicals, and at the lumbar axis - or 4th lumbar, and through the sacral. These should be relaxing treatments, rather than stimulating treatments.

13. Do not have these until there is the beginning of the taking of the ACIGEST and the CALCIOS internally. This will enable these to assimilate or to work better with the activity of these properties upon the body.

14. Then the matter of the diet:

15. Do not take ANY carbonated waters, or carbonated drinks of any kind.

16. A little apple brandy (but a good brandy, not Applejack) made as a toddy occasionally will be beneficial. This should be taken AT the meals, as medicine, not as a drink.

17. Do not take ANY of the drinks made with carbonated waters, or those prepared from hops. These are bad for conditions that exist, and the tendencies through alimentary canal.

18. The foods that are of the nature of leafy vegetables, both raw and cooked, are preferable to those of the tuberous nature; though carrots - both raw and cooked - are well. Potatoes should be very sparse, not more than once or twice a week.

19. Other leafy vegetables - the tops of beets, especially, - are good; water cress in salads is excellent for the body.

20. These will tend to aid, especially, the superficial circulation.

21. As to meats, use plenty of sea foods (not fresh water fish), fowl and lamb. No hog meat, nor any other type of meat; though a little crisp breakfast bacon may be taken occasionally.

22. Eggs should be a part of the diet almost daily.

23. Do these, and we should find better conditions for this body.

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) Then I should discontinue the hydrochloric acid I've been taking? (A) As we find, while ACIGEST is hydrochloric acid, it is prepared in a manner that - as combined with the other things suggested here it will work better with the body. So we would change to this.

26. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for osteopath, when you are ready to start these treatments - Both Dr. Percy Woodall and Dr. John H. Newman, osteopaths - in the Nelson Bldg. and Woodward Bldg., respectively - have had experience with Mr. Cayce's readings. Let us know which one you choose.) Copy to Ass'n file (6/11/43 GD's note: ACIGEST and CALCIOS are both distributed by The Colloidal Health Products Corp., Greenvale, Long Island, N.Y., Atten. A. A. Nichoson. Acigest sells for $1 a bottle. Calcios is a syrupy paste containing free calcium easily assimilated, and sells for $2.50 a jar. In regards to the apple brandy, Hildick's Apple Brandy is supposed to be the purest - and may be obtained at ABC store.)
