This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of February, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - [3054], Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

R E A D I N G

Born December 26, 1893, in Harper, Kansas. Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3054].

3. In giving an interpretation of the records, we find that a life's seal or pattern here is very unusual - that which would be colored. A board fourteen inches square, almost in blocks an inch square, should be colored all over. One would be red, one green, one pale pink, one lavender and so on - keeping up the changes in color in this manner. As they would come in this way, alter the color in their numbers across the board.

4. In the center of this would be a pocket or cup having three sides or three measures, one just a little bit below the other.

5. On the lefthand upper corner put the symbol of the banyan tree.

6. On the upper righthand corner put what has been painted as Peter fleeing from the Cross, but here reverse the figure, having the face of Peter to the left side of the board or inward, and the three crosses occupying the same position but in the reverse side of the figure.

7. In the lower lefthand corner put the fishing boat wherein Jesus sat and spoke to the multitude on the seashore at Bethsaida, with Peter and John in the boat. This picture would indicate the extreme ages of His followers. Peter would be about sixty, while John would only be about

eighteen, and the Master thirty-two.

8. In the lower righthand corner depict children gathered at a door and reading or listening to stories of child work or child activities about the same number of boys and girls should be shown, in ages from seven to twelve years.

9. We shall see the interpretation of these symbols through the activities of the entity in the earth.

10. In giving the interpretation of the records as we find them here, these we choose with the desire and purpose that this information be a helpful experience for the entity, if it will apply that which may be intimated and which may be found deep within self as this information is applied in the experience of the entity, and as the symbols are studied that are indicated in the life chart.

11. We would magnify the virtues, we would minimize the faults, and yet a criticism if sincerely given is often more effective or helpful than too much praise when not wholly justified in the experience of the entity.

12. We find Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Mars. Thus as indicated, in the colored chart board, or background, the entity is interested in all characters of religious thought. But as indicated, from the banyan, the Buddhist or Theosophy schools are of special interest to the entity.

13. These are well in their place but they lead to that which is indicated in the figure in the right upper corner, in this life's seal. For this is the culmination of God's approach to man in his phase of unfoldment in the earth. Thus as He expressed Himself, it was not merely an individual entity, but his Son, His chosen Son, as with the great teachers of the earth. For even in Elijah or John we find the faltering, the doubting. We find no faltering, no doubting, no putting aside of the purpose in the Master Jesus.

14. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, we will find an activity indicated through the ability as a teacher of the young rather than of the adult. The unfolding mind, rather than that in the beginning or the babe; rather the mind when there are differentiations to be made between the desires of the flesh, the desires of the mind, and the promptings through spiritual directions. These should be the activities, then, of the entity.

15. As indicated in the center where there are the varied colors in the three baskets that are to form the center, the body, mind and soul are each to be filled, each to be recognized as having an influence one upon the other. These are bound together in one for one common purpose, that the soul-entity may be one with the Creative Force. This is the

channel, the manner in which activities are to be carried on.

16. As to appearances in the earth, these are quite varied, and we may see how and why there are those special interests in varied activities.

17. Before this the entity was among those who settled in the western lands and continued the treks from varied portions of the land.

18. The entity with its associates and companions went westward seeking the easier way, the things that were to be the products of nature itself, rather than that in the sweat of the brow the body would be supplied with nourishment and cherishment of the mind and soul from the natural sources. But these the entity found to be hardships, rather, in its experience.

19. The name then was Mary Auckland. The entity lost, though the entity gained when it began to apply the tenets or truths "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." So simple, yet so deep that few comprehend! Rather is it oft interpreted as seen in the variations of the colors for the background of the entity: "As I would like to be done to, so will I 'do' the other fellow." These indicate the interpreting of what the influence upon others would be.

20. Before that the entity was in the English land during the early settlings, when there had been once established the new tenets or applications in those environs from the latter portion of the reign of the Judean king in Palestine.

21. The entity was among those who grew up in that changed environ and so the activities when those from the Norse land and the hardier, sturdier people from that land now being overrun (and there is a right good battle there today) brought changes in the activities.

22. The name then was Ardley. The entity rose to power through its ability as an instructor, as a teacher, as one understanding the needs of the people from the tenets that had been gathered by the priest of old in the land.

23. Before that the entity was in Egypt during those periods when there were the activities such that individuals were sent as ministers and emissaries.

24. The entity went into the land of Saad, but becoming a companion to a priest of Saad, set about to establish a kingdom of its own. Hence the entity's interest in, and its abilities to use influences of self for tenets or teachings or truths. And it is this influence which the companion of that period so often would impress upon the entity's consciousness, when the entity enters into deep meditation

or when the entity attempts to write - that is, automatic writing. This influence is not always for good, for it is impelling upon the entity.

25. Turn rather to that which has been indicated as a part of the entity's influence that should be one with the Creative Force, God.

26. The name then was Swarn.

27. As to the abilities of the entity, that to which it may attain and how:

28. First find thyself. Apply thyself in such a way and manner as to know what ye will do with this man, Jesus of Nazareth - Jeshua of Jerusalem, Joshua in Shiloh, Joseph in the court of Pharaoh, Melchizedek, as he blessed Abraham, Enoch as he warned the people, Adam as he listened to Eve.

29. Ready for questions.

30. (Q) What was my connection with my father in former lives? Explain the antagonism? (A) In the Egyptian experience. Because of the change in the attitudes and activities of the entity, there was brought antagonism.

31. (Q) What was my connection with my husband [3178] in former lives? Explain. (A) In the experience before this, these were very good associations. Yes, these should be made most pleasant in the present.

32. (Q) Did my doctor, Dr. W. H. Thompson, ever touch the lives of my husband and myself before? Explain. (A) In the experience in India, yes.

33. (Q) Does my present physical illness have any relation to my spiritual growth? (A) If the impressions would be undone that are put upon that at times, you would come out much easier.

34. (Q) Explain the following paragraph, which was given in my first Physical Reading on June 22, 1943 [3054-1] "In giving the sources of the disturbing forces, and as to what may be done about them, we find in the blood supply - with the retractions that are caused by the manner in which it reflexes to not only natural sources but the unusual abilities in the mental as well as spiritual outlook of the entity - there are certain indications - and at times contact may be made in the associations here." (A) Read what has just been indicated as to how the impelling force of the Egyptian companion impels thee and becomes conflicting to the emotions of the body in the activity of same.
