Born August 22, 1902, in Westphalia, Indiana. Time of Reading 10::40 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Ohio.
1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '38 changes - mental, material - '35 - expectancies - '27 - preparations - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3062].
4. In giving an interpretation of the records, these are recorded upon the time - the skein of time and space. And these we would interpret with the desire that this information be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfillthose purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
5. This aside:
6. Here we would find it interesting to note, there are many individuals in this particular sphere where the entity was born, that were in activities where the entity was active, in a Persian experience - as we shall see.
7. In interpreting the records we would magnify the virtues, we would minimize the faults. Just as the entity will find, in its bewilderment at times, it would be well not to look for differences but rather for that in which there may be agreements, rather than differings.
8. For as ye magnify thy differences of opinion, thy differences in thy choice of activity, these naturally build barriers not easily overcome - as will be seen from that particular sojourn made reference to, which still is a part
3062-2 Page 2
of the entity's soul consciousness.
9. If a composite were made of the urges arising from the sojourns during the interims between material appearances, or the astrological aspects, we find certain inclinations. For these, the astrological aspects, represent the interims between the material or earthly awarenesses. For the soul, to be sure, is aware and active in other consciousnesses than the three-dimensional. For as the soul is in this particular solar system, it is subject to - and active in - all those phases of awareness in same. Some call it astrology, some call it foolishness; yet, as indicated, these influences do not supplant the will.
10. For, the soul is equal with the universal consciousness or purpose, or God-consiousness - as it may be termed, and thus is a part of all it has experienced; having an influence upon, and being influenced by all of these, according to the will of the entity.
11. Thus:
12. One that oft finds itself confused, and more by its own confusion that by that others create for the entity.
13. One that may adapt itself to most any environment.
14. One that has very decided likes and dislikes, and yet may speak gently - if not kindly - of those dislikes.
15. One that finds those things pertaining to literary abilities of special interest, owing not only to the abilities of the entity but to its application of self through varied experiences.
16. One that would indeed make an excellent reporter, not only for current news but for that which might become more of the history-making nature in its very activity. For the entity, with the activating upon ITSELF in those directions indicated, could pass on its activity to others without indicating prejudices. And this is excellent, in the activity - and is one of the greater virtues of the entity.
17. But patience is not one of thy virtues. This the entity must learn in this experience. Tolerance it is learning - in regard to being and acting in the ability AS one that might pass judgment.
18. Hence in any of those activities where there are the needs for someone to act as a peacemaker, the entity may find those outlets for its abilities.
19. Astrologically - we find Mercury, Venus and Saturn all become parts of the entity; as does Mars, with Uranus. These indicate, then, the mental abilities, the universal consciousness, the sudden changes, the activities that become overtaxing even at times to the body, urged on by those impelling forces that something must be done, even if
3062-2 Page 3
it is the wrong thing at times, do something. This is WELL, provided there is kept the balance - and patience is learned.
20. As to the appearances in the earth - while all may not be indicated, these we find having the greater influence upon the entity in its present sojourn:
21. Before this the entity was in the land of its present nativity, during those periods when there was the destruction of Fort Dearborn.
22. The entity was not entirely one that might be called a ne'er-do-well, yet one that lived rather by its ability to use others.
23. And the entity is finding in self that it is oft being used by others in the present.
24. Keep thy counsel, and keep thy patience. These have not been amiss, but may be used as stepping-stones and not stumbling-stones; provided there is not builded envy or malice in relationships to those who have used and do at times use the entity.
25. In that experience the entity gained in mental, lost in some material and spiritual aspects; and yet these may be eliminated in the present sojourn.
26. The name then was Ivan Udell.
27. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, during that period when there were those expansions - before and during the Master's walk in the earth.
28. The entity was one in authority in other lands, or as a representative of the Roman peoples in judgment as to laws, as to taxes, as to the moral as well as the marital laws through those experiences; being active in portions of Africa, Persia and the Holy Land. Hence all of these places have a peculiar influence, or interest for the entity; especially as to customs of the lands. These find an answering something in the experiences.
29. We find that the entity gained throughout its experiences there. The entity in its activities was not only honest with self but, therefore, honest with others, in the letter of the law as well as in the purpose or the spirit of same.
30. Thus some parts of those lands where the entity was active STILL bear those influences as to those purposes in the moral and the marital codes of those lands.
31. Then the entity was in the name Udalder.
32. In the present those activities may be used as a writer, as an interpreter, as a go-between, between groups or organizations. In these capacities the entity may apply itself in such ways as not only to make a contribution to
3062-2 Page 4
others but to the glorifying of that the entity holds, or may hold, as its ideal.
33. The entity did not come in contact in person with the Master, but many of those of His followers were friends - as well as foes - of the entity.
34. Before that the entity was in the Persian land, when the activities were such that the decrees were made respecting the Jews, when differences arose in regard to the selection of the companions for the king.
35. It was from the influences of those periods that the entity, with many of its own neighbors (though many are not known to the entity), came into the land known as Indiana in the present.
36. There the entity was in the court of Xerxes, acquainted with the activities of Nehemiah, acquainted with the influences that put Mordecai in an active position. All of these conditions caused some of the same kinds of doubts that arise in the present experience of the entity, and yet set about those very influences as indicated in the Roman activity - in the study of human relationships and their influence upon a community, a household, a nation.
37. On these the entity may YET in this experience WRITE that which would be of a helpful force to many.
38. The entity then was active as related to the army, as related to the various groups - the relationships between those of the various groups; for, as indicated and as known, these were not all Persian, they were not all Jews, they were not all Parthians, neither were they all of the sea or of the mountain. Yet in the latter part of that experience the entity set the activities of all those varied groups towards ONE ideal, and that MUCH in keeping with the tenets and principles set by Ezra and Nehemiah, though both of these had then passed into the greater activities not in the material plane.
39. In that experience the entity was known by the Grecian and the Persian name - Xpercepes.
40. From that experience we find in the present the abilities in reporting - as history, as of students of the peoples of many varied groups, and the influence of same upon groups, states and nations.
41. And these need studying!
42. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were those activities in which there was the reestablishing of the Priest and those relationships with the varied groups.
43. The entity was among those who had joined with the brother of the Young King, in rebellion; and thus of the
3062-2 Page 5
Ibex peoples. After the subsiding of those activities, the entity attempted to join with the Atlanteans in their efforts to establish one of their number in some political position. These still brought, throughout the experience of the entity, those turmoils as to places or positions, or as to those set in authority. Hence often in the present experience of the entity, there is the questioning within self - though the entity may speak kindly - of those set in authority.
44. These should ever be the tenets of the entity, as then: Not merely that might makes right, but rather that what is for the greater good of all - in its purpose, in its intent, in its activity - is that to which each should subscribe, should attempt to attain.
45. The name then was Ar-Ei-Lo.
46. As to the abilities of the entity, in the present, and that to which it may attain, and how:
47. Its limits are set only by self. Do not confuse self in thine activities, or in the temporal or mental or spiritual urges; but rather first analyze thyself, thy purposes, thy hopes, thy ideals. Not merely as in mind, but make them more concrete. Set them down. See what they look like. You will be surprised to find how few, and yet how great they may be in thine own experience.
48. Then, knowing thy idea - spiritually, mentally, materially - know thyself approved unto same; not doubting. For he that doubteth has already defeated self.
49. Know in Whom you have believed, and know He is able to keep that ye commit unto Him against any experience, any time, anywhere, under ANY circumstance. For He is all, in all, and through all that may attain to the completeness in Him.
50. In those fields as pertain to history, or of a service as teaching through the writing, may the entity make the greater contribution to the welfare of the minds of others.
51. Keep the faith.
52. Ready for questions.
53. (Q) Should I leave ... if so where should I go? (A) Not necessarily. This should be determined in self. The environs of ... are good, are good for the entity. But if there is the call to other lands - don't harken until ye know why.
54. (Q) Give the exact minute of my birth. (A) The physical or the spiritual! For here we find there is a variation, and the actual physical birth we find near the noon hour - the spiritual birth in the evening.
55. (Q) Will you give the exact time of physical birth?
3062-2 Page 6
(A) At eleven fifty-eight (11:58).
56. (Q) Are there psychic powers present, and what are they? (A) Psychic powers are indicated, as given, in the abilities of the entity to analyze the minds of others.
57. (Q) Are the consequences of the November 1938 experience over with? (A) In the main, unless ye look back. But remember Lot's wife.
58. (Q) Should I give up all thought of religious work? (A) Depends upon what you call religion! Ye must live and practice thy religion. And, as indicated, the greater contribution is to the moral, marital and spiritual relationships of groups; which ye may attain the greater in the writing.
59. (Q) Would a numerological change in my name be advised? (A) This, like other signs or symbols, is dependent upon how much power ye attribute to such within self. As we find, in the present, if the name is used always [3062] [first initial and full middle name, rather than full first name and middle initial as now being used] it will be the better.
60. (Q) What members of the family were formerly associated with me? (A) Most all the members of the family, but especially the mother.
61. (Q) Was my sister [3564] associated with me? (A) The sister was associated with thee in Persia.
62. (Q) How may I best help her? (A) By studying to show thyself approved, and then tending to the minor things as appear in the present.
63. (Q) Should the property ... be sold? (A) Should be sold, for these are differences that arise, but these divisions can best be made through a sale.
