Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., New York.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3098] present in this room.
3. As we find, there are rather the complications of disturbances; that is, a part of these are of a pathological nature and a part arise from ANXIETIES of the body - as related not so much to self as to others.
4. And with the very nature of the disturbance in the body, this adds to the general NERVE reactions; and it is more a condition of NERVES than of organic disturbance.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [3098] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. First, in the blood supply - owing to the nerve energy that is used in the physical as well as the psychological reactions, we find there is a tendency towards anemia; though not anemic in the sense of the destruction of blood cells, rather in that the energies of the body are so used up in nerve supply that it weakens the numbers in red blood count.
7. Hence we find there is quite a variation as to what the count would be. For, at times there is the attempt of the system to supply the leucocytes to meet the breaking up of cellular forces that are aggravated through the activity of the adrenals.
8. Thus we find the adrenals affect the association of sympathetic and cerebrospinal nervous system. Thus we have this combination of disturbances; those that directly reflect to the vision at times, to the sense of taste, and the auditory reactions are at various times at variance to the general condition of the body.
3098-1 Page 2
9. Then we have a reaction from this disturbance to the kidneys, to the liver, and especially the circulation between the liver and the kidneys.
10. These, of course, change that in the circulation as has been indicated, through the lungs and also to heart. But neither of these - the heart nor the lungs - shows any organic disturbance.
11. There is disturbance shown at times in the functioning of the liver and the kidneys.
12. This also tends to leave, in this disturbed circulation between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal systems, especially in the area, at times the awareness of a fullness in the back, across that area just above at times and at others below the kidney area. Not as a catch, but an awareness, or heaviness, or pain there. At other times we have quite an upsetting in the circulation in the liver and the digestive area. And these are more of a sympathetic reaction. And in this it becomes psychological.
13. For, with the worrying - or anxiety - inner anxiety (for the body is an emotional body), it works on the emotions of the body when there is the indication of suffering of any kind. These all aggravate the disturbances to the body itself. It dims the vision, it cuts the appetite, it makes for overactivity of the kidneys, it destroys the proper circulation through the abdominal area, and the body becomes aware of being very tired, very much worn, and the aggravations to the organs of the pelvis, the kidney, the bladder and the digestive system throughout.
14. These, as we find, may be corrected. It will require, of course, one thing - that the body change the general mental attitude. Set that as to an ideal, and let it be rather as this - as the attitude: HELP ME, O GOD, TO CHANGE THAT - FOR THE BETTER - THAT I CAN. BUT THAT I CANNOT, HELP ME TO BEAR IT IN THE WAY THAT IS IN KEEPING WITH THY PURPOSE FOR ME IN THE EARTH AT THIS TIME.
15. Thus we see there is the setting of self in attunement, first, with the divine within, and being used - and ready to be used; but be ready to be used; to that end that ye may fulfillHis purpose in the earth.
16. In the physical applications for self:
17. DO have a general hydrotherapy treatment each week. This should include NOT the Dry Heat Sweat, but a Fume Bath with Witchhazel. This would be followed by the needle shower, hot and cold shower; then a thorough rubdown with an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil. Especially apply this over the area from the sacral to the brachial centers; this along the spine as well as along the nerves of
3098-1 Page 3
the sympathetic system. Do this in a gentle, circular motion, so that the body will absorb the properties themselves, and thus relieve these tensions on the adrenals in the area of the 9th and 10th dorsals.
18. We would have these once a week until at least ten are taken.
19. Also each week when these are given, we would have the ultra-violet light with the projection of the green glass in same. Keep the eyes shaded with the green goggles when these light treatments are being taken. It should be applied, of course, for only a few minutes, but do this once each week.
20. It would be well if there would be given also one good colonic irrigation through the periods of the other hydrotherapy treatments.
21. In the matter of the diet - do have, for this body, carrots - both raw and cooked, beets, and vegetables of that nature, often. Also include water cress often in the diet.
22. Occasionally - about once a week when it is in season, or when obtainable - we would take the Jerusalem artichoke, cooked in its own juices - as in Patapar Paper, and these juices mixed in same when prepared to eat. This will work with the pancreas, also the adrenals and the digestive forces for this body, as related to sugar and the activity of same in the blood supply. This is not good for the body prepared otherwise than as indicated - cooked in its own juices.
23. Do keep away from white breads or great quantities of pastries. Hard candies may be taken occasionally, but not too much of chocolate for this body.
24. Do refrain from any carbonated drinks, though Coca Cola with plain water will be good for this body.
25. These we would do, and we will find bettered conditions of this body, [3098].
26. Ready for questions.
27. (Q) What should be done for my teeth that have been bothering me? (A) This is part of the same condition of the nerves. DO use Ipsab as a massage for the gums, about three times each week. Then have local attention for the teeth.
28. (Q) What causes the occasional rash on face, neck and chest, and what may be done to prevent it? (A) This arises from acidity in the system, and is to be aided by the use of the hydrotherapy treatments; especially the sweats, the needle baths and the massage; also the diet indicated, especially the water cress often in the diet.
29. (Q) What causes trembling of hands, which used to be
3098-1 Page 4
worse than it is now? (A) This arises, we find, from the nerve tensions in the areas particularly indicated, in the dorsals.
30. (Q) What causes and what may be done to correct frequent loss of memory, momentarily? (A) This, again, is that connection as we have indicated, where sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems fail to coordinate. This is part of the high nervous tension of the body. And this is the reason for the purposefulness in its spiritual attitude. But the massage will keep the centers and ganglia along the spinal system in better coordination; and we will find the vision corrected, the taste and hearing and odors quite different, and the memory much bettered.
31. (Q) What is the source of the colitis, or trouble with my digestive tract? (A) Sympathetic condition from the nervous system, and the necessity for the character of diet that has been indicated. Do these things, and we will find much bettered conditions.
32. (Q) What has caused my eyesight to become dim and blurred lately, and what can be done to correct it? (A) As indicated, this is the stress upon the nerve forces from the kidneys and the adrenals, as it affects the centers to the optic forces. Do these things that we have indicated for the general health, and we will find these improving.
33. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for the physiotherapist - We recommend Dr. H. J. Reilly, RCA Bldg., 1250 Sixth Ave., N.Y.C., who has followed many Readings with remarkable success.) Copy to Ass'n file (If not on the market, Jerusalem artichoke may be ordered for a few cents a pound from John A. Salzer Seed Co., LaCrosse, Wisconsin. See folder [which was enclosed] regarding Ipsab.)
