Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., N.Y.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the conditions here, [3133].
3. Now as we find, here we have demonstrated or illustrated a prenatal condition. Hence, much of this is what is termed karmic. At the periods when there are the convulsions in the reflex actions, it is almost - or the warring here is from - possession, at the moment.
4. These then offer some problems, not only in the physical reactions, but also in that which must be the mental and spiritual attitude of the individual, and the mental and spiritual attitude of those who might apply material things for the betterment of the body.
5. As we find, we are in the middle of a cycle in body changes and body development. If there continues to be the same reproductions in the body of that with which the mental and spiritual began its process of manifestation in material flesh, we will find little or no change in the reactions that occur in the mental and spiritual being of the physical body.
6. But, if there will be measures taken to correct these conditions, and thus in the main the attitude of the individual, the body itself, turn to those things that are of the spirit creative, we will help. In those periods of its physical and mental reactions when near normal, let the entity manifest gentleness, kindness, longsuffering, brotherly love, patience, fellowship, and the like. In the beginning, to be sure, these are as but attitudes of mind to the individual, and may be expressed in the purpose of the entity, as in "This I do." And yet in the practical application of this we find very little of the true
3133-1 Page 2
spiritual concept in the body-mind of the entity.
7. Hence, these should be made to become realities in the activity of self, in such a way that there are the reactions to the minds of those with whom the entity comes in contact; that may bring not merely pity, but that real desire and hope, and hope expressed by a material manifestation of desiring to do something - in the way of supplying the little conveniences, the little niceties to make life easier for the body. Not in self-indulgence, no. Not in self-indulgence in appetite or in the gratifying of appetites alone, but in the spiritual aspirations, spiritual desires, spiritual purposes, as to lend the self in a coordinated group of individuals for the betterment of general conditions of individuals thus afflicted.
8. Then we would have also, physically, these things applied:
9. Necessarily, from the tautness that often recurs in the periods of congestion and the temporary convulsions that come to various portions of the body consciousness, there are segments throughout the body forces that cause incoordination between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nervous system. These need physical corrections, which should be made osteopathically. Not merely in a manner as adjustments chiropractically that might make sudden changes, but those more on the order of the neuropathic or osteopathic treatments that follow the nerve ends, and in those areas from the fifth and sixth dorsal to the first cervical. Stimulate these to reaction; that is, relaxing each center, each ganglion, by the massage and adjustment treatment. This done once a week should be sufficient.
10. Following this treatment we would use a low form of the sinusoidal ray. This builds and discharges into the various portions of the body. We find that this would react from the upper or the cardiac portion of the stomach to the gall duct, or the lacteal duct center. This should be given for about two or two and a half minutes.
11. These should be kept up for ten weeks.
12. Then, after the tenth treatment or tenth week have the correction by suggestion in subjugating the conscious mind, so that the reactions will be sustained by the post suggestions in such a state to the body that the response may be the greater to the manipulations osteopathically given from then on.
13. It may be necessary that this be repeated every month or so. All making such applications should work in conjunction with the greater creative forces for the body of [3133].
14. In the matter of the activities and the diet: Let the
3133-1 Page 3
activities be in that way of helpful forces; not pitying self nor seeking or asking pity of others, but cooperative forces as for creative energies; that is, helpful influences in the lives of self and others to aid in creating a better body and mind for the activity of the soul-forces of this body.
15. Keep away from sweets. Keep away from white breads. Do have sea-foods often. Do have raw vegetables and fruits often; not the small fruits (such as berries, cherries, etc.) but cooked apples and cooked pears (not either of these raw).
16. But peaches may be taken raw for these will soon be in season and the very form of this fruit as well as plums and all such would be well for the body, to aid in better eliminations.
17. Do these and we should find better conditions for this body.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) What will help the frequent extreme nervousness? (A) Apply ice to the base of the brain.
20. (Q) Who would be suggested to give the hypnosis treatments? (A) Any good hypnotist; as Kuhn or Garrett. Either of these will do very well. And the corrective measures osteopathically should also be made by one in sympathy with these suggestions for better forces of the body. These may be made by one with whom the body is acquainted who desires to help, if the attempt is made to do these properly as suggested. Do these things and these offer the greater opportunities for help. To be sure it's up to the body itself in its purpose and its desire. Does it want to be rid of these, or does it hold to the other side?
21. (Q) Any spiritual advice? (A) Let thy spirit bear witness with His spirit.
22. We are through with this reading. Three copies to Self (one for the psychiatrist who gives the hypnosis; one for the osteopath) Copy to Ass'n file " " Miss Goodall for indexing (7/17/43 GD's note: Let us know the name of the osteopath or neuropath you choose. We would advise that he give these treatments under the supervision, or after having talked with Dr. George N. Coulter, 18 East 41st St., N.Y.C., who has had experience with following Mr. Cayce's readings. When the hypnosis is to begin we suggest that you take your reading to Dr. Leslie Kuhn or Dr. Thomas L. Garrett, 103
