This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of July, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3135], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

R E A D I N G

Born January 22, 1897, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:35 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Florida.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane; giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In going back over years from the present - " - '22 - very good little flirt! - '21 - " etc., on back to birth date.)

3. Yes, we have those records here of that entity now known as or called [3135].

4. In giving an interpretation of the records, these we would choose with the desire that this be a helpful experience for the entity. While all is not beautiful, there are those developments which if applied in the present experience may bring not only joy within the entity but a helpful influence in the lives of many.

5. For, this entity is gifted in many ways that have been submerged.

6. The entity should WRITE! For, there is many a story in the imaginative forces of the entity; as well as there having been through the experience much romance, which also may be applied in the manner or type of writing that may be done by this entity; to say nothing of the abilities for making rime and rhythm in the experience.

7. In giving the interpretations here, these we choose; minimizing the faults, magnifying the virtues - as the entity should in its experience and in its relationships with others; being patient in all things and yet this is the greater lesson to be attained or gained in the present. For, the tendencies are for the entity to act at once, and

then think about whether it has been the right thing or not afterwards.

8. It is best to be patient and quiet than to be sorry. For, remorse and regret causes a great deal of self-condemnation, and this no entity should do. While no entity should think more highly of itself than it ought to think, if there is the choosing first of the ideals of the life mentally and spiritually, the material will manifest in a much more satisfactory way and manner.

9. As to urges indicated from the periods of entrance, the entity is rather in those influences of head and heart. Thus, as indicated, rather romantic in all its associations with others. Thus that tendency to depict for others the truths that have a lesson for those who are alone, or who are seeking to know their way.

10. In Mercury, in Mars, Jupiter, all find these expressions. Venus is both good and bad, and more than one phase of that finds expression in the urges latent and manifested in the entity. Beauty and harmony, music, all are parts of the soul of the entity. Romance, as combined with the harmonious as well as movements of body and feet. Hence the entity could have made a very good dancer.

11. We find in Jupiter the need for the greater outlet; that is, cultivating the patience, we will find the abilities in Mercury, in Mars, in Venus turned more to the greater constructive ways, in the applications of those opportunities in the entity's experience.

12. As to the appearances in the earth - these find expression more in what is called the senses, or the physical dreams. For, the entity does dream, oft. It should record more often the experiences. These kept or paralleled or drawn upon for the basis of expressions as may be given in the abilities as the writer, may be of great value to the entity in a material, in a mental and spiritual way.

13. Before this the entity was in the land just north of the entity's present nativity, during the breaking up of the settlements of the land.

14. The entity was among those groups that left Fort Dearborn, settling in and around what is now a portion of Richmond, Indiana.

15. Then in the name Cassie Eversole, the entity was active in home building; being an instructor or teacher in the groups organized in that vicinity during the period. There the entity gained, and yet its dreams of places and conditions may at present form the background of those talents or abilities for the entity give expression to same.

16. Before that the entity was in that land to which the

Crusaders came, in what is now a portion of Greece, Turkey or Armenia. There the entity was acquainted with and relied upon the present associate or companion. For, there they were at variance in their tenets or truths, yet under the needs of the circumstance there was the drawing together in a bond of friendship that makes an attraction, as well as that which throws them far apart. For, they still differ as to basis of tenets or teachings; not merely religious but political and that of morality as related to the activity of individuals themselves. But there is much to be worked out here together. Choose rather, then, to UNIFY the efforts in finding where you AGREE, not where you disagree; and we will find the experiences coming nearer to being of a constructive force.

17. The name then was Esta Armedeces. The entity gained, the entity applied self, the entity found the varied experiences to be the exciting forces. Hence the romance and the ability to present to WRITE unusual character of writing, drawing upon the variations in the environs of peoples of various faiths, as well as the opposition, or the opposite sexes in their relationships one to another.

18. Before that the entity was in the Arabian and Persian land, when the peoples were gathered in the 'city in the hills and the plains.'

19. The entity was among the first of the children born to those who had settled in the land; thus in those relationships to the teacher or the leader became as one fostered by those who led the groups there.

20. Then the entity grew to be an active force or influence in the efforts for contributing to the material welfare, physical and spiritual welfare, of those who fared through those portions of the land.

21. Hence the entity grew to be one of authority or one in power, merely because of the relationships to those leaders - especially to the companion of Uhjltd in that experience.

22. In the experience the entity gained. For, it kept closer to those tenets, abilities and teachings in that particular period.

23. We find in the present the entity's ability to be sympathetic, to think for and to work with those of various groups or characters.

24. Hence the abilities in the writing to depict details in conversation or in activity - in very minute detail.

25. The name then was Hazesda.

26. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, returning there from the land to which the Priest was banished; coming under those directions of the activities in

the Temple of Sacrifice and the Temple Beautiful.

27. Thus vocational guidance, and the entity was one that contributed much to that effort of those in their group to establish homes - and then wished it hadn't!

28. These make for those peculiar influences or feelings the entity holds as to the place of the home in the lives of individuals of various thought or temperament.

29. As to the abilities of the entity, and that to which it may attain, and how:

30. As given, study self first. Know they ideal, spiritual, mental and material. But do W-R-I-T-E! For these are the outlets for the entity that may make for the greater expression of its abilities in this particular field of activity.

32. (Q) What have been my past associations with my husband, [...], and how can I best help him in the present? (A) As indicated, in that particular period of the activities as the Crusader. The best help may be in that direction outlined, of unifying those things on which you agree, minimizing that where you disagree.

33. (Q) Why have we not been able to know the peace and security that two mature people who are devoted to each other should be able to achieve? (A) Just study that indicated. You are devoted, but your differences have been magnified rather than that wherein you agree!

34. (Q) Are there qualities in me which constitute the greatest handicap to his achieving a realizing of his undoubted gifts? (A) Not those that would hinder, if they are applied in the proper directions; in those channels and ways as indicated. Do that, and you will find a union of activity and of purpose not yet attained.
