Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Iowa.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3150].

3. Now as we find, there are disturbances which prevent the better physical functioning with this body. These are the result of what appears to be a minor disturbance in sometime back. In some exercise there was a wrenching of the back at the sixth, seventh, and eighth dorsal. This gave a little trouble at the time and then apparently passed off.

4. These are the conditions as we find them at this time, as the results of the disturbances:

5. In the blood supply there are those tendencies for a lack of proper flow of lymph through the abdominal area; as the subluxation has at times, prevented the impulses of the nerve forces controlling such activities through the area of the caecum and those portions of the body. These contractions are caused along the line of the body forces; in colon direction. These cause disturbances there, some plethora and some prolapsus in the colon itself; as may be indicated by the fluoroscope or the shadowgraph.

6. This gives the activity in the nerve system; disturbances to the organs of the sensory system, thus the variations that occur in reflexes of the body to activities in the sensory impulses; the vision, the speech, the feelings or reflexes in feelings and activities to every portion as related to same.

7. These are minor, but may become more and more involved unless measures are taken to correct those impulses for misdirection of the nerve energies through these areas.

8. As to the functioning of the organs themselves, the position of this deflection is such that the organs are only affected as related to functioning, and that is, are rather

spasmodic. The kidneys and the bladder and the organs of the pelvis are at times sensitive to the general conditions through the body, especially when there are tendencies for irritation to cause disturbance through the alimentary canal.

9. Variations as to the diet had occasionally, but these we find are only temporary changes.

10. In making corrections:

11. First, we would osteopathically have those corrections made to relieve tensions through these areas, hence the character of treatments in this particular area, from the sixth to the eighth dorsal, should be of a RELAXING and not stimulating nature. In the lumbar and sacral, STIMULATION to better activity; as also in the cervical area, especially from the second and third and fourth cervical. Gently RELAX the ninth dorsal also.

12. After at least some ten or twelve such osteopathic treatments have been given, THEN (not before) begin with a compound taken internally, then correct those conditions which will have been created by the osteopathic adjustments. Thus we are working together, then impulses changed in those disturbances already built, we may bring much better conditions for this body.

13. The compound would be prepared in this manner:

14. First, make a fusion of Wild Ginseng. This would be the manner and the strength for this body:

15. To 1/2 ounce of the Ginseng (crushed or ground), in an enamel container, pour a pint of boiling water. Let this heat but not boil, that is raising the temperature nearly to simmering. Then cool and strain. Then to 1 dram of Wild Ginseng (ground or crushed) in an enamel container, pour 1 ounce of boiling water and allow to steep, not cook, for an hour, strain.

16. Add the two together. Then add to the solution 4 ounces of Lactated Pepsin.

17. Take a teaspoonful before the morning meal and in the evening before retiring.

18. Keep a normal diet, but away from too much starches or combinations of starches. Do not eat starches too soon after taking citrus fruit juices.

19. Do all of these and in the order given for the better results. Do not take one without the other.

20. Do that. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) Is the colitis the result of the wrench referred to? (A) It is the result of the wrench as indicated. Do as given and we will find results.
