Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Maryland.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. As we find there are many disturbances which if allowed to continue may become very detrimental to the better physical forces of the body. For these, as we find, are tendencies. While the body meets the emergencies at times, it is continuing - as it were - to sort of lose ground in one direction or another.
4. The basis of the trouble is auto-intoxication, or the lack of the proper balance in the chemical forces of the body. Thus the liver and the gall duct area become involved and too much of fats of one nature or another produce acidity.
5. Then this acidity, with the poor circulation, attacks such as the gums, the throat, the tissue through the abdominal area and in joints and locomotory centers of the body.
6. These are more arthritic than rheumatic; though they might be called arthritic-rheumatic effects.
7. For, with the unbalancing of the conditions, and toxic forces, and the attempts of the kidneys to meet the conditions of the body, uric acid is also caused.
8. Thus we find many of the central nervous forces and the organs of the central nervous system are involved but more sympathetically in the present than organically.
9. These, we find, should be the character of the administrations:
10. We would have treatments by a good hydrotherapist, which would include a very low form of electrical treatments, as the massages are gradually increased. These should not be
3170-1 Page 2
taken too often, but would be as a stimulation to the central nervous system as the corrections are made and the eliminations are established.
11. The hydrotherapy should include mild sweats, the needle showers, sitz baths, and rubs in pine oil baths. Not all at once but vary these.
12. And then about every ten days or two weeks, do have the low electrical forces of the sinusoidal; this not too strong but attached to aid in draining the gall duct, and to stimulate that activity from the nerves in the cerebrospinal system to those in the liver and gall duct area.
13. Do use such as IPSAB to purify the gums, this will stimulate circulation. Use this at least once a day. Moisten the finger with the IPSAB and massage the gums, top and bottom, inside and outside, then rinse the mouth once with same; not a great quantity - just a small quantity will be sufficient.
14. We will find that these will change the whole outlook of the body.
15. Do use Glyco-Thymoline as an intestinal antiseptic; three to five drops in a glass of water once a day. Don't take this one day and then skip it for several, but take it every day for at least five days. Then leave off for five days, then take it again for five days. And this should by that time have cleared the system.
16. During the first week's treatments, do have a high colonic irrigation. This should aid in relieving the body of those tendencies for the rash which occurs in many portions of the body from time to time. As will be seen this is more severe on the patches of the lymph centers; thus indicating a circulation disturbed between sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems.
17. In the diet, beware of acid-producing combinations.
18. Do have daily some form of raw fresh vegetables.
19. Do not have citrus fruit juices at the same meal with dry or cooked cereals. Alternate these from one day to the next.
20. Do not take too much fats of any nature.
21. Fish, fowl, and lamb may be taken in moderation but rarely, if ever, fried. These may be more easily assimilated by the body if they are broiled, boiled or baked.
22. Do these.
23. If it is necessary to take a laxative, we find that Milk of Magnesia would be preferable for this body.
24. Ready for questions.
25. (Q) Aching feet after prolonged walking or standing?
3170-1 Page 3
(A) These are from the toxic forces, and with the forms of baths indicated we will find much improvement from these.
26. (Q) [By GC] Is the bottle of Ipsab I hold in my hand compounded correctly, or alright to send out? [7/13/77 GD's note: The last two Questions and Answers in re Ipsab were left out of the original reading sent to Mrs. [3170], because they were not submitted by her but by Mr. A. M. Godfrey who had just made up a batch of the Ipsab based on formula given him 2/14/42 in 1800-34. He left a sample with Mrs. Cayce so that she could ask about it in the next reading that recommended Ipsab, which happened to be 3170-1.] (A) This will do to use. There should be more care in the quantity of the calcium that is put in. But this will do.
27. (Q) [By GC] Is there too much or too little in this? (A) Too little in this.
28. We are through with this reading. Two copies to self (one for hydrotherapist - Please let us have the name and address of the one you choose. Some of our Members have recommended a place in the Raleigh Hotel, Washington, D.C.) Copy to Ass'n file " " Miss Goodall for indexing
