1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In making the location "all mixed up around here.")
3. Yes, we have the body, [3173].
4. Many of these disturbances with this body, in their primary cause, have been of long standing. That these begin to make such inroads on the activity of the body as to cause greater distresses through portions of the system, and at periods, it is a wonder that there hasn't been more distress than is indicated in the present.
5. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body:
6. In the blood supply, from the lack of proper amounts or balance of calcium through the period of gestation, we find that some of the structural portions in body were lacking in the chemical reaction and the glandular secretions.
7. Hence the distress in the joints, especially the hip joints of the body during its early youth.
8. Then, with the addition of a great deal more of calcium, these were builded for some time near to the normal responses, but the fissures in the structural portions of the soft ends of bone with the glandular developing the unfoldment to general activities through the system, have come to give way again. Thus there are periods when pressures are created in locomotories, when the body walks any length of time, or when over exercising outside, even in the fresh air. While this is well for the body, it does give a great deal of trouble at times, owing to conditions that exist in relationship to the blood supply and the activity of the circulation throughout the body. Also pressures in the area of the lower part of 9th dorsal or through the 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal, have caused a great
3173-1 Page 2
deal of distress to the activity of the organs of the pelvis. The Periods become rather a torment to the body or a time of over anxiety. These have their reflex reactions in the circulation from same to the mammary glands. Hence distresses through central portion of the body governing the emotions.
9. Throat, and the lymph activities cause some disturbance at times by the over acidity.
10. These have weakened, to be sure, the activity of the locomotories of the body. While the arms are involved at times, the greater distress is experienced in other portions of the system.
11. In considering helpful forces, we find that these conditions may be retarded. As to whether there may be such a response as to cause permanent relief it is questionable. For, the entity is meeting itself. So, if the attitude is held such that the desires and purposes are made one with Creative Forces, we may eliminate it.
12. If there is the continual application of self for the supplying of energies to gratify purely the material needs of the body, little other than temporary help may be obtained.
13. But, as we find, there should be added to the body those forms of iodine, or potassium iodide (though it may be taken atomically), and the low electrical vibration as may be had with the direct current passing through the body. These treatments may be administered for the locomotory centers throughout, and the use of the ultra violet ray with the projection of the green glass between this and the body, so as to bring much betterment to the body.
14. If there is kept the attitude, though, as from fear, not a great deal may be accomplished that would be of long lasting benefit to the body.
15. These, then, we would do:
16. Have those administrations mechanically (that is, osteopathically) to bring about a better coordination of the activative forces of the body, so there is better equilibrium between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nervous system. Especially consider those areas where there are pressures created at any time from any type of head gear or hats that may be worn. We would also take in to the system extra quantities of vitamins D - B and B1. These may be had in carrots as well as in orange juice.
17. Keep a well balanced diet, adding extra quantities of these.
18. With the hydrotherapy, and the massage that would follow, we will find real improvements; that is, if the
3173-1 Page 3
mental attitude is kept in the proper sphere and activity.
19. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) What caused the spinal affliction when I was a baby? (A) As indicated, a chemical unbalance during the period of gestation.
21. (Q) Was it a return of the same thing, only in my ankle, in 1916? (A) Part of the same concurrent condition.
22. (Q) Did the coasting accident in winter of '22 or '23 injure my leg, resulting in the pain I get in my hips and legs now? (A) This is a contributory cause, the main source is the pressures. With the administrations and better eliminations kept, we should find conditions improving.
23. (Q) What causes the spasm of my insides the first thing in the morning when I lean over? (A) This is the attempt of the system to adjust itself to the balancing of the body forces in its waking state. With activities of the purely physical and mental attributes of the body.
24. (Q) What causes feet, hands and back stiffness for a few hours every morning? (A) These come from a tendency towards the poisons producing arthritic reactions in the system. We would take internally a level teaspoonful of Eno Salts in a glass of water each morning before breakfast for twelve days in succession. Then leave off five days, then repeat. This combined with the other applications suggested should bring help.
25. (Q) Persistent hot flashes? (A) The same condition. After the adjustments, if there are still the headaches and the periods of distress, we would rest during the period and keep up with all of those things suggested.
26. (Q) Is this a bad climate for me? (A) Very good climate in the present, but in the winter a little bit too severe for the body.
27. (Q) Is my diet incorrect? (A) We would follow through with those changes as suggested.
28. (Q) Why have I never had any children, in spite of the adjustments I had made? (A) This comes back to a consideration of the general welfare of the public. These have not been wholly desired by the body at times, materially or spiritually.

Do those things indicated and we should bring better conditions for the body, provided the attitudes of the body have been kept under control.
29. We are through with reading. Two copies to Self - (one for the osteopath and hydrotherapist) Copy to Ass'n file " " Miss Goodall for indexing (If you are near enough, we would refer you to Dr. Marion Dick, 5041 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, Pa. If not, it might be well to send her a copy of this reading, and have her refer you to someone in your vicinity.)
