1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3203].
3. In giving the interpretations of the records, there is much here to choose from, and in some fields of activity the entity should in the present experience be outstanding - if there is the application of self in the correct choices being made by those directing, as well as the application of the entity's abilities in self.
4. We would, then in choosing these interpretations, minimize the faults magnify the virtues; and this should not only be a policy but a practical application in the experience of the entity. For, remember, there are lessons that one should learn and know their real meaning:
5. It is self you are constantly meeting. The choice the entity makes as to the use of its time and of its opportunities is the free will gift of the Creative Forces. And the purposes for the entity's entrance into the earth at this time are that it may correct errors, and that it may magnify many glories of the Lord in its own life.
6. As to the abilities, we will find the entity well balanced in those abilities to choose; tending to be rather headstrong. This is well but should be watched by the entity, and think well before there is the breaking of any of those virtues as may be pointed out by those who counsel with thee. For, the law of the Lord is perfect, and what an
3203-1 Page 2
individual entity sows, what it does about its opportunities, makes for and builds those possibilities in the experience of the entity.
7. These, then, should be taken into consideration in the life application:
8. As ye would that others should do to you, do ye so to them. As ye would have done in thy own experience, make that in the experience of others. Never ask others to do that you would not do yourself.
9. Thy choices are very good oft, but do not become dictatorial. He that would be the greatest is he that understands and serves the better.
10. Thy inclination to know much of the outdoors is a natural tendency. For, in the experience before this the application of self in mathematical accuracy was very good. And mathematical accuracy, mathematical problems, should be the outlet for the self in the present - and the study of nature, and the study of area, the study of bridge-building. In any architectural outlines would be those outlets, as will be seen from that which has been the pattern of the life, and will in this experience offer the better channel for the abilities of the entity, rather than in those things pertaining to books (that is, as books of literature). But keep the music of the soul ever in thy experience, let any outlet of any musical instrument be in the reed or the clarinet type, and this will give an outlet for the entity for not only the ability to enter into but to enjoy much of the music that may alone span those periods of loneliness as may be a part of thy experience through this sojourn.
11. As to the appearances - these have been many. Thus we will see some of the complexities as may be expressed in the entity. But keep away from the inside or the indoor activities, not only for the own health's sake but that nature itself may be to the entity as the psalmist gave, "Day unto day uttereth speech, night unto night sheweth knowledge."
12. The interest in astrological aspects as well as astronomy, will be an outlet for the entity.
13. While all the appearances may not be given, these we find have an influence in the experience through the next two cycles of the entity's unfoldment, or in those periods of preparation the entity would make for its place among its fellow men. And let this ever be the purpose: The place where thou art the corner in which ye may shine may it ever be better for your being in it. Give something of self rather than demanding of others. Contribute to the welfare of thine own household, thine own community, thine own
3203-1 Page 3
school, thine own state, thine own nation. All is relative, and as you apply self in these various phases of the experience you will find self - and the abilities of self - unfolding.
14. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, in those early periods when there was the laying out of what is now Chicago.
15. The entity as David McLean, aided in plotting or planning some of those various districts that now form a part of the place. And this is why innately, some portions of the city are rather as a "sore eye" to the entity; others having, according to the entity's feeling, a usefulness and a place among the universals.
16. Hence we will find the entity will ever be quite a booster for certain factors of Chicago and at others quite at odds with some of the "city fathers" in their choices of the things done in and about same.
17. It might be said that the entity in that experience did well in many ways, though at odds with others at times. And in the present the entity will find the experience of differences, but be sure you are right. Don't argue too much just find the statistics; for you will always be hunting for and making statistics throughout thy experience in the earth. For each entity, each soul, contributes its part. Many keep records of same, so that they are helpful to others. Make that a part of thy experience in this sojourn, whether as the architect, or the astronomer, or whether one plotting lands or surveying.
18. These will offer the channels that should be the studies or preparations of the entity through those periods in the earth.
19. Before that the entity was in the English land when there were those activities that were a part of a general cause - in the Holy Wars.
20. The entity kept the records of those that were active in those experiences, keeping a record of the directions to each varied group as they left for activities which they were assigned,
21. The name then was Cogehill. The entity gained by the experiences, yet without trusting wholly in self as did many, by the various activities in portions of the campaigns that came to naught.
22. Hence we find the entity's peculiar experiences as to things of the church, or of the religious nature. These should ever be the background and the purposes. For, ideals must be founded in spirit. In mind they may become practical. In their materialization of the spiritual, of
3203-1 Page 4
the mental then, they should be consistent with all of thy ideals.
23. Know, then, thy ideal and the author of same. For, He is able to keep that you commit unto Him against any experience in thy life or sojourn here. For life is the manifestation of that force you call God. Thy life, thy experience is indeed such that - as has been said - in Him ye live, ye love and have thy being. Learn what that means in thy application of thy tenets and associations with others; knowing as has been indicated as ye sow ye reap, as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren ye do it unto thy Maker.
24. Before that the entity was in the Holy Land during those periods when the children of promise entered. The entity was one in authority in the land, being of the children of Esau or Edom. Hence we find those various differences as arose.
25. But the entity was among those that became aware of the activities that had been indicated through the service rendered a people by the two faithful patriarchs Joshua and Caleb.
26. Hence the entity joined with those forces, those influences.
27. History to the entity, then, will be as a study; history as to places, as to things, as to movements, as to individuals, will be a part of the entity's interests in this present experience.
28. The name then was Adjah.
29. In the experience the entity advanced. For, through those efforts in the latter part of its sojourn, the entity aided in specifying and marking out the land marks for many of those varied groups of the varied tribes, as the land was divided.
30. Divisions and subdivisions of cities, then, of states, and their boundaries become of special interest to the entity, as these things are applied in the daily life of various groups in various portions of any land.
31. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land during those periods when the individual groups were being set in order for the various vocational activities.
32. The entity was among those of the builders in those periods laying out the plans for many of the record chambers or tombs, as well as the various places or temples.
33. Hence study in architecture; in the planning of such things, will be a part of the entity's experience.
34. The name then was Apt-Al-En.
35. As to the abilities of the entity then:
3203-1 Page 5
36. First analyze the self. As ye begin in thy studies, keep body and mind and the spiritual purposes in unison. Care of the body should be with this thought in mind; that thy body is indeed the temple of the living God. Care for same, keeping it clean, pure and holy; that ye may manifest the more those beauties of nature, the love of God, the honor of self, to the glory of Him - who gave: "Come unto me, ye that are weak and heavyladen, and I will give you rest." You will find it ever in His promises.
37. Make His promises, then, thine. Walk closer with Him day by day.
38. Ready for questions.
39. (Q) Why did this entity choose this body? (A) In this experience it is that necessary for the keeping of those activities in this particular period and land.
40. (Q) What have been the relationships in the past to his present grandmother, [3006]? (A) Egypt we find, as well as in other experiences not even indicated here. Those in the Egyptian period have the greater pull.
41. (Q) To his maternal grandfather, [...]? (A) In Egypt there was the working together in the building of the temple.
