Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., N.Y.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: (In making location - "Katherine ...").

3. GC: [3214].

4. EC: "Katherine's here too." [GD's note: Her middle initial was K. We never heard from her after the reading, so we do not know whether "Katherine" was really her middle name or not.]

5. Yes - as we find with this body, there have been periods of a great tension in the activity of the emotional body or - the sympathetic nervous system; so that, with the glands of the body - as those that have controlled the activity of the assimilation - there has been produced the inability of the body to maintain the proper equilibrium through the reproduction of cellular forces in the glandular system, as related to the assimilations in the ducts and glands of the stomach and duodenum.

6. The stomach itself appears to be small, tilted; though this by some is held to be impracticable or impossible. Here would be a good demonstration of what we mean by the improper position of stomach as would be indicated by x-ray. This as we find disturbs the glands also in the upper portion of the adrenals and the coordination between the liver and the kidneys. This also produces those conditions of improper fermentation because of the quick emptying of the stomach itself and lack of proper force through the duodenum; improper digestion or improper fermentation through colon.

7. As we find, these need to be stimulated - not by a stimulating treatment osteopathically, but a gentle relaxing treatment of the specific centers controlling those areas,

or the lower portion of the 9th, 8th, and 7th dorsal, and the upper dorsals from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, and in the 3rd and 4th cervicals specifically. These would produce better coordination of lymph and the circulation of the cerebrospinal nervous system. Such relaxation will be a stimulation to activity in these portions.

8. As an aid for the conditions through the digestive system, we would prepare this compound to be taken internally; about 3/4 of a teaspoonful after each meal. Add these in the order named: Elixir of Lactated Pepsin...............2 ounces, Essence or Fusion of Wild Ginseng.......1 ounce, Essence of Wild Ginger................1/2 ounce, Tincture of Valerian..................1/2 ounce.

9. (This concoction would be good without the Valerian, in it, but this is needed for the nerve forces.)

10. Also once each day, preferably about half an hour before retiring, take 6 ounces of gingerale with 2 tablespoonsful of sweet cream beat into it. This, with the other properties taken and the treatment suggested, will add flesh; and the body treated as has been indicated should build to better normal conditions.

11. Ready for questions.
