R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Connecticut.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes (funny way they have the house facing, isn't it?) - we have the body here, [3221].

3. As we find, there are disturbances in the physical forces of the body. Some of these are pathological, others are psychological; and from the psychological come a karmic condition.

4. Hence the general attitude of the body as to its purposes, its aims, its desires, will be a natural part of those things necessary if the application for the physical disturbances would be materially effective.

5. These as we find, arise from the coordinating of the imaginative system, or organs with the physical activity of the glandular system pertaining to the organs of the pelvis, combined with a condition in the digestive system.

6. For, as indicated at and during those periods where there was the healing at the navel center, lesions were formed. For, there was once cold or congestion during that early period.

7. Now with those changes that have come about in the glands that work with the organs of the pelvis, or the activity of the sex organs, and with the digestive forces, there are such disturbances produced that physical expression is found in lapses of consciousness, or convulsions at times.

8. These as we find, then, are the physical or pathological conditions existent.

9. In meeting these, some of those conditions - as of timidity, as of those conditions pertaining to the activities and associations of the body - will naturally be changed, if the attitude is changed.

10. In changing the attitude, let it be in this manner:

11. Take those portions of the Scripture that refer directly to the physical, the mental and spiritual body, as in its relationship to Creative Forces, and that the entity may expect. For, karma may be met; that is, of a nature - may be met in and with Him, who healeth thy body, who giveth life, who is the resurrection. In Him we live and love and have our being.

12. Not merely being able to repeat these, but know the intent or meaning of same. Read and study daily the 30th of Deuteronomy; then the 14th, 15th, 16th of St. John. Not merely know them, but live them and be them. These will change the attitudes.

13. Physically - for one hour each day for three days in succession each week apply hot Castor Oil Packs over the liver and caecum area; that is the area extending from just below the rib to the lower portion of the abdomen or the top of the hip bone on the right side of the body. Here apply at least three thicknesses of flannel cloth saturated with Castor Oil, directly to the body. Cover this with oilcloth to prevent soiling linen. Then apply an electric pad. Keep this on for at least one hour; not so hot as to become uncomfortable but sufficiently hot that the body will absorb the oil.

14. Following each series of the Oil Packs - that is, on the evening following the third Castor Oil Pack each week, - take internally at least a tablespoonful of Olive Oil.

15. Each day when the Packs are removed - that is, daily for the three days each week - first sponge off the body with a weak soda water; then massage Camphorated Oil into the whole area, very gently but very thoroughly. Don't do it just to get through with, but massage it thoroughly.

16. Do this for at least thirty to forty periods.

17. Then, when there has been about four periods of the Castor Oil, begin with osteopathic adjustments of those conditions existent in the lumbar and sacral area and in the 3rd cervical. There would be required about six or eight treatments.

18. Be mindful of the diet. Beware of combining too great quantities of starches. For this body, white potatoes and spaghetti or macaroni should never be taken at the same meal; no two of such as these at any one meal.

19. Plenty of sea foods and fowl should be preferably the meats.

20. A great deal of fresh raw vegetables should be taken, including carrots, celery, lettuce, and every form of green vegetable that may be obtained throughout the year. Take

some of these, (that is, such as carrots, celery, lettuce) at some meal every day.

21. By the time there has been the eighth to tenth adjustment we find that the body should be rid entirely of these disturbances. But keep up the Packs after such adjustments have been made.

22. Should there come painful menstruation, from the first few treatments, apply a Glyco-Thymoline Pack over the pubic center. Use two to three thicknesses of cotton cloth well saturated in the Glyco-Thymoline. This should be warm, but do not apply an electric pad here. Keep the Pack warm with heated heavy salt, put in a bag. This will be beneficial and make the Periods easier for the body - until the full corrections are made.

23. Ready for questions. Do these, and we will bring better conditions.

24. We are through with this reading. Copy to Mother " " Ass'n file " " Miss Goodall for indexing (GD's note: See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Castor Oil Packs. When it is time for the osteopathic treatments, we would refer you to one such as Dr. Douglas J. Rathbun, 325 State St., New London, Conn., who has had experience with following Mr. Cayce's readings; that is if he is close enough to you. You may have a good osteopath nearer to you. Please let us have the name of the one you choose.) e.)
