R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Conn.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3230].

3. In giving the interpretation of the causes and the manner of correcting the disturbances with this body, we find that - if the body will accept same - there are other things and conditions in the mental and spiritual body also that should be taken into consideration; else why correct a physical being or body only to use for self's own indulgence.

4. For, the sources of much of those disturbances that are a part of the physical condition in the present arise from a disregard of many of those things pertaining to the answering "Am I my brother's keeper?"

5. These, then, should also be taken into consideration.

6. While there are pathological disorders it is well that a body-mind, and a body-physical mind and being, be not only good but good for something - other than just considering self.

7. In the physical forces of the body here, we find that these in the main are the result of the toxic poisonings - those conditions produced in the liver as well as that disturbance between the liver and the kidney circulation. These are the basis of the inflammatory condition produced in the lymph and muscular forces of the abdominal area, as well as in the limbs and in the arms and shoulders.

8. As we find - we would have a consistent course of hydrotherapy treatments; these including light sweats - more fume sweats than dry heat, and the fume sweats varied. These should be given about twice each week, if the heart and the general circulation will be taken into consideration - as to how much heat is applied and this watched closely.

It will reduce these conditions. The Fume Baths should be alternated between Witchhazel one time and Atomidine (or Iodine) the next time. A teaspoonful of Witchhazel would be used in the pint of water boiling in the Cabinet to produce the fumes. Also a teaspoonful of Atomidine would be used, or if Iodine nearly a teaspoonful - though this should be used in another container - and will discolor much more.

9. Following each Fume Bath rub down thoroughly with this combination of oils: Nujol or Russian White Oil (as the base).....4 ounces, Pine Oil...................................1/2 ounce, Oil of Pine Needles..........................1 ounce, Peanut Oil...................................2 ounces, Oil of Sassafras Root......................1/4 ounce. While these will tend to separate, shake them together before they are applied to the body, and apply over the afflicted areas - all the body will absorb - this is the abdomen, the feet and limbs and shoulders, and especially across the diaphragm area.

10. Do not take any carbonated drinks or any malt drinks of any character.

11. Do keep up these applications. When the general swelling has been reduced, after about three to four weeks, then apply Epsom Salts Packs on those areas of the limbs and feet.

12. About five days before beginning the Packs, start taking internally three drops of Atomidine in half a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken. After the five day period, leave off five days and then take again, and so on.

13. Do keep these in unison of purposes, hopes, desires, as of Creative Forces in and through the activities of the body.

14. We will bring help, if there is the raising of self to that point of accepting self as being responsible for something, responsible for self and its activities as a helpful influence in and among its fellow men.

15. Do that.

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) What should be done for loose bowels? (A) All of these conditions will be cared for when those applications are made. When the massages are given, include a colonic irrigation occasionally. This will take care of the general conditions there; provided there is not added any of those fires of nature in those forms that have been indicated.

18. (Q) Hay fever? (A) This again, with the massage, will be kept down - by the use of the hydrotherapy treatments in the manner indicated.

19. (Q) Give suggestions for remedying the generally weakened condition? (A) This treatment suggested will weaken more at some periods, especially if there is a breaking over. But it will soon make for much improved conditions. For the diet of strengthening foods will be helpful for the body.
