1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here, [3234].
3. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them for this entity, much is to be taken into consideration. Here is an entity with unusual abilities, and yet becomes discouraged so at times, as to almost be willing to discard all the efforts made and to commence all over again in something that would be as drudgery to the real soul of this entity.
4. The entity makes too great demands, not only on self but on what others and what conditions should produce for self. The judgements as to material successes are in vain. Do the first things first.
5. In giving an interpretation of the records as we find them here, for this entity - these we choose with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity; enabling the entity to better fulfill those purposes for which it entered this present sojourn.
6. As indicated, the virtues are many - and faults are oft presenting themselves in most unsuspecting ways and manners.
7. Know first in self that God is, and it is to His glory and honor that all the virtues, all of self, is to be dedicated. Not as to close out the world, as to prevent the contacts made by self with others from being a shining light. For, each entity, each soul holds the light to the
3234-1 Page 2
pathway of some soul seeking home.
8. Then let thy light shine in the lives of many. Don't close self so much from those things that would enable the entity to be a meaning of some kind or other in the lives of others.
9. True, in the field of music the entity will excel - if it will look to Him. Know and seek the Lord while He may be found. Know that His promises are sure, and the world - with all therein - is His. And as ye seek to apply self in the manner as to be a channel of blessings, of help to others He - the Lord - will quicken the way so that conditions and things come to pass.
10. To be sure, whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, He purgeth everyone that we may bear more fruit. For, indeed as He has given, it must needs be that offenses come. These have come in the experience of the entity in times past, and thus tend to make the entity close itself to the real enjoyment of a material nature. Fear for what others will say, and for what might be spoken. To have faith in God one must know of Him and talk with Him often. One must walk with Him in the night, yea in the light, yea in all manner of places. Remember, His hand may guide thee.
11. Astrologically, these influences may mean much or little in the experience. They are as signs along the way as ye choose the pattern. Know ye that the pattern is in the life of the Christ. Then pattern thy purposes, thy joys, thy determinations, thy hopes, thy fears, in His way. For He is the way and the truth and the light.
12. Venus, Jupiter and again Venus, with Saturn, are the greater forces. Hence music, beauty, joy, harmony, even song, should be a part of the unfoldment. Learn sorrow, learn joy; but let that expressed in "I walked in the garden with Jesus" [The hymn, IN THE GARDEN?] be as the light in thy composition of song, yea in thy melody upon the musical instrument in which ye may give voice. Practice the more upon the organ. Let that be a means or way of expression, as well as upon the piano.
13. There will come at least two great loves in thy life. Don't accept the first, for it is the tempter. The greater love will come even from the sorrow of the first. Not that it needs to be rooted entirely out of thy life, but learn its meaning, even as He learned the meaning in His experiences in the earth.
14. As to the appearances, these are varied and yet indicate the character deep within the entity.
15. Here, in the present environ, was the entity's appearance in the earth before this - one who had taken the
3234-1 Page 3
vows and found love of the material things caused the entity to break those vows of celibacy. This brought to the entity material joys, and yet the entity feared throughout the experience that these were for self rather than toward that purpose which had been determined by the entity.
16. Know, all the desires of the body have their place in thy experience. These are to be used and not abused. All things are holy unto the Lord, that He has given to man as appetites or physical desires, yet these are to be used to the glory of God and not in that direction of selfishness alone.
17. In that sojourn the entity suffered. And in the present some doubts and fears arise as to whether this or that experience is holy or whether it will hinder in making the material or spiritual success that is so desired.
18. Let this be rather the tenet of the mind, of the soul, of the body: Success must be to the glory of God rather than to the gratifying of any appetite, of any desire, of fame or fortune. Know that fame and fortune must be the result of thy seeking in His paths first, and then all will be lighted along the way.
19. The name then was Mary Anthony.
20. Before that the entity was in the French land during those periods when there were the activities known as the Crusades. And the entity, in the joy of its love, of its companion of its hopes for a home, and for offspring, was suddenly brought to dispersion in that its mate was called for that which to him was a service. Being left alone, the entity - in doubt and in fear, in remorse - made itself miserable.
21. So may the entity in the present, not taking on the joys of the very present activities, not taking on even the hours of toil in practice, the hours of toil in just being patient, just being kind, will find that it will become sour - unless life is made a joyous thing. See the humorous side of every situation. Read humor that is of the nature to cause one to enjoy life; and we will find that those experiences there - as Renee Fecherr - will be eliminated from the consciousnesses that arise when certain characters of activity become a part of the daily experience in associations with others.
22. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods when there were the preparations of individuals as a part of an experiment, as a part of the experience for those that would change in their form of activity to be more perfect in body.
23. The entity then, as a daughter of the Priest in those
3234-1 Page 4
periods when there were greater activities of a spiritual nature, supplied the music that would span the distances between loneliness and crowds, that would make for the lifting of the soul in those periods even when operations were performed under the soothing strains of same. The entity perfected the stringed instruments. And when there was the roll of the organ in the ecstasies reached in the Temple Beautiful, again the entity supplied same.
24. Thus in music may the entity again unfold to that ability to away those in distress, those that are fearful, those that are doubtful; as well as bringing those that are beset with doubts to the joyousness of a walk in the garden with Jesus.
25. Make that the theme of thine own song, make it the theme of thine own preparation of music; for it will raise thee, too, to that experience as ye found in that Egyptian environ, with the Priest as well as the saints in the Temple Beautiful and the activities thereabout.
26. The name then was Sevrden.
27. As to the abilities of the entity in the present that to which it may attain and how: First find self. This is not easy and yet not hard. In the study and the analysis of self use as the pattern the life of the Master, in that given in the sermon on the mount. These, then, may become beautiful things in thy experience.
28. Find in self the answer to all the doubts and fears.
29. Make MUSIC - the piano, the organ, song - thy life's work; as a concert artist, as a teacher, as a director in choir or the like. These will bring to the entity the opportunities for ever being a channel of blessings, and bring peace into the soul of the entity - which brings happiness and gladnesses under every circumstance.
30. Ready for questions.
31. (Q) Should I try this fall for the Scholarship at the Julliard School of Music in New York? (A) We would.
32. (Q) What about my singing? (A) This - while it would be secondary - should not be neglected.
33. (Q) What about my former friend, Mrs. [...]? What caused the estrangement? What should be done about this situation? (A) No individual entity has so many friends that it can afford ever to lose a single one. Go to thy friend, find the cause and correct same. It may be changed again. For ye have been in active associations, even in those periods when estrangements came in France. Let's undo those things neglected there.
3234-1 Page 5
34. (Q) Should I marry [...]? (A) Such questions as this can best be answered from the choice within self. If it is the second love, consider it long and seriously. Don't be too serious with self or with others.
35. (Q) What has been my relationship in the past with Alice [...] that has caused the deep feeling of love between us? (A) In the Egyptian land you worked together in the services in the preparations for many. The entity then was the mother to the entity loved in the present.
36. We are through with this reading. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (Under separate cover we are sending a paper giving a brief history of the Egyptian period, which you will probably find very interesting, inasmuch as you apparently were Mr. Cayce's daughter in that time. When convenient you might like to get in touch with our friends and Members of the Association, Mr. & Mrs. Irvine Gimbert, 7305 Shipway Rd., Apt. B., Dundalk, Md. They have both had Life Readings as well as Physical Readings. GD)
