Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Here as we find is an overactivity in the emotional body as related to the abilities or activities in the physical body.

4. Thus, where there is the closer coordinating of the reflexes from cerebrospinal to the organs of the body, where they come in contact with the impulses to and from the sympathetic system, there are pressures produced in the areas such as the 3rd cervical, 3rd and 4th dorsal and through the sacral and lumbar area, or from the 12th dorsal to the end of the spine.

5. Hence these reflexes are produced:

6. A slowing of the circulation through the eliminating channels of the body, so that from the lungs there is not a full deep breath save at times. Kidneys at times are overactive and at others underactive. The liver shows torpidity at times and again a full flow.

7. These cause throughout the alimentary canal a slowing of eliminations in many ways.

8. Hence the tiredness in the extremities, the sharp pains at times through various portions of the body. Tired brain activity, languidness, dullness; at times. Then, there may be periods when some undue excitement - as for associations or activities with groups or individuals - would cause a general "pickup"; but tiring after same.

9. As we find, there should be a thorough line of hydrotherapy treatments. We would have these once or twice each week in the beginning, about twice - just so it doesn't tire the body out too much - for at least ten to twelve of

these. Include each time the Fume Bath - not dry heat, save as to start. Afterwards have the needle shower - that is, hot and cold water; rub down with Pine Oil; then resting under the Ultra-Violet Lights.

10. After some ten to twelve of these, begin having also (not before) thorough osteopathic relaxing treatments. Have at least four or five of these.

11. When beginning the osteopathic treatments, do increase the amount of intake of vitamin A, D, and B - these with the B-complex.

12. These as we find should bring very good conditions for the body.

13. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) Why have I suddenly gotten so heavy? (A) The languidness as produced through the body.

15. (Q) What about the condition of my heart? (A) Naturally, with the increase in weight there has come a greater reverting from those pressures through colon as to give distress. This is not organic but a sympathetic disturbance, the awareness of its presence and of its activity.

16. (Q) Why am I so nervous? (A) As indicated, the incoordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal nervous system. Do as given if we would have better conditions for this body.

17. We are through for the present. Three copies to Self Copy to Ass'n file (One copy to be given to Dr. H. J. Reilly, R.C.A. Bldg., 1250 - 6th Ave., N.Y.C., who will be able to give the hydrotherapy treatment as outlined. When you are ready for the osteopathic treatments, we would refer you to Dr. George N. Coulter, 18 East 41st St., N.Y.C., you will need the other copy of the Reading for the instructions as to type of treatments he is to give.)
